Golden Gate Bridge

Your beauty surpass
A wine filled glass
A toast to the winds
My heart sends

The waters below you
Delights my view
My soul sails
In the gales

Sorrows are gone
Tears long gone
My body explodes
In your glory

Now I'm home
all alone
Free from crap
And mishaps

...smile ... the last stanza makes me smile ... I left my heart in the awesome city by the bay. My son was born there and its where his father killed himself with heroin. For the next 15 years I drank daily and ran all over the U.S. Now, I've gotten to be a sober old lady and I just don't know how that happened ... LOL ... anyway, I love this write and wanted to welcome you to PoetrySoup and I hope you come back soon with more writing ... its been awhile since you've been here!!
