Best Go To Bed Poems

I Should Go To Bed

It's late at night and I am yawning.
Not a good time for a poem to be spawning.
But never the less, I'm going to try.
No matter how much I ask myself why.

DVR timer just switched off my show.
What the hell was I watching, I don't know.
If you are still reading, I apologize.
I gotta tell ya', it might not be wise.

Anyway, there are a few stanza's left.
Though this is daft, I hope I am deft.
But I have my doubts that it will turn out.
Say, do you remember Petticoat Junctions Selma Plout?

Well, let me try to bring this to a close.
Oh, I apologize, I started to doze.
My entire body is falling asleep.
I guess any more lines will just have to keep.

Good Night.

Write It Down and Go To Bed

Along this highway of my life
Thru times of joy and some of strife
With overpass and underpass
The road keeps winding on

While getting through this rigmarole
May seem an overwhelming goal
I thank the mistress of my soul
Who keeps me grinding on.

Since early on I guess I’ve known
We weren’t meant to walk alone
But finding one to walk with can
Be somewhat of a challenge

They come in such variety
T'would seem an impropriety
To venture to compare them
Like an apple to an orange.

But keep the faith for all songs say
We’ve someone out there each of us
The perfect size the perfect fit
And just the right ambitiousness

They say these things are planned above
By one who is omniscient
So why should such a fool as i
Pretend to be proficient?

I’ll get in bed and say my prayers
And when the last of them are said
I’ll say goodnight and dim the light
Then write it down and go to bed.

Just another Warrenpiece

Before I Go To Bed

Just before i go to bed
I look at the sky
As the dancing stars
As the smiling moon

The world around me is so peaceful
With no stress, or a thing that bothers
With candles around me
That brights my dark room with love and care

I just want to think about beautiful things
A butterfly, a rose or an orange sky
That fills my empty heart with love
I look at the life in a different view

Love is Art
Reality is Eyes
success is a piece of cake
God is love

I Go To Bed Soon

Hold thy peace you day star
Behold, i go to bed soon
Beyond the vale of furrows afar
Sighs and heaves the river and moon.

Cool air mating with the gloaming drives
The winged creatures to their nest
Amidst baobab that shed their leaves
And the wager homeward plods to rest.

The call of the silent night
I bask to obey as her blanket
Slowly looms and enshrouds the height
One last glare of day, without regret.

May there not another day star be
When with balm of rest I soothe my bone
Let there no storm be, this my plea
To make body and hearts cold and lone!

Go To Bed

It's about that time
Time to go to sleep
Put on your pjs
And go brush your teeth

I'll read you a book
Then tuck you in
You say your not tired
Who do you think your fooling

I have the last word
That's going to be said
Listen to me
Now go to bed

Come on, don't fuss
And fight
Get under the covers
I'll turn out the light

I wish you sweet dreams
With a kiss on the cheek
Goodnight my darling
Off I sneak

I Don'T Know Why I Go To Bed

To sleep and dream?
To lie and rest?
To close eyes and think?

I still don't know why,
I go to bed every night
I live to see;

Yet my body and mind,
Remain fully active
Till the next day!

Go To Bed

Lost in spades of ice cream waves
Remember times the moonlight saves
Wondering where you've gone astray
Calling ground control so far away
Here you speak as I am stumbling
Even clearer when you're mumbling
A kindness too big to be contained
Left craters here for who remained
Taking the heat, facing the fire
Catch bumblebees from somewhere higher
See the forest, run the trees
Roll in meadows, breathe at ease
Swim the rivers, straight ahead
Come back to me and go to bed

What makes you think that the sun, you’ll see tomorrow?
Few inhabitants of the earth know that ….such sorrow..
.
To be grateful for this very, crystalline minute,
That sparkles with the sunlight of tomorrow in it.

And, yet~ your God can cease your hearts beating.
And send you to His arms quickly fleeting.!

He sees every single thought you write.
Will you read it all to Him in the moonlight?

Do you pen-things that inspire, or to create licentious desire?
How different our poetry might be, if humanity, we did inspire.

May we rise and smile in the morrow’s sunny afterglow .
And pen from the best of our hearts, not just a base ego show.

Premium Member When Am I Going To Go To Bed

Lord when am I going to go to sleep?
You won’t let me
I just keep sitting here writing poems
To the wee morning
I guess you know what you are doing
I will be so tired tomorrow
But I don’t care
As you should know
And you know better than I do
So I will leave it up to you
And sitting here writing poems for you
Obeying

Before I Go To Bed

Before I go to bed
wash my feet
wash my head
wash the whole body
get on my knees
to give thanks to God
that I've made it through
another gracious day!
