GOD be praised and thanked for His Word*
We acknowledge as Spirit’s sword
declaring “Thus saith the Lord…
The Bible --- Scriptures of grace-ford!

Assuring soul's great salvation
God's Word anchors our redemption
As well as sanctification
Enabling our transformation!

Always at work in fellowship
With the Lord's truth-braced leadership
Gearing our faithful stewardship
And triumphant praise-filled worship!

Indeed working for reaching-out
While sharing Gospel without doubt
Illumining for heaven's route
Midst joyous hallelujah shout!

*Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Premium Member My Winter

Gearing up to what should be magical
Special winter to be a first of firsts
Brand spanking new at the grand-parent thing
Marshmallow snowsuits, sleighs and Santa Claus
First fluffy snowflakes falling from above
The Christmas tree lit up with shiny balls
Starring our nine-month old baby darling
Picturing with glee the sheer confusion
Crazy folk coaxing him to be wreckless
Bows, ribbons and coloured flashy paper
A few minutes of this and he’ll get bored
To make him magnificently happy
He just wants a cardboard box and cookie
Our Christmases will never be the same
Knowing next year he’ll be more into it
Now we just drool at all the photo ops

Jubilee Diamond Heist

We're all gearing up for the diamond jubilee
Said the bunting waving neighbours smiling with glee
We're all cheering up for the diamond jubilee
Keeping calm and carrying on, truly britishly
We're all working tirelessly for the diamond jubilee
Another priveleged, frivolous squandering of our tax money
Government on high alert for the diamond jubilee
The inhumane lawful theft, by bloody royalty
We're all leaving work for the diamond jubilee
Lovely, if the queen foots the bill, instead of you and me
So many people smile so smugly at the diamond jubilee
From every branch of that twisted family-moneytree
Everyday people have paid for this diamond jubilee
A party for the richest robbers and the regal dynasty.

Premium Member Remembering Dad

“…I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”*
Such Scripture truth braces me up with God’s grace
Propelling me to move on, bounce back, march forward
Every time my yearning for my human-fortress intensifies.
Vulnerable to attacking nostalgic angst
I’m now succumbing to the reminiscence-force
My heart cannot defy, and surely my mind can’t deny.

Vividly lingering, and now steadfastly clinging …
Images of my Dad’s cheerful countenance
Prodding and inspiring me to do my utmost
Caress of his hands, soothing my feverish forehead
Nurturing while gearing-up my faith-fortitude
The warmth of his loving fatherly counsel
Punctuated with, “I love you, my darling daughter.”

There I was with my dear Dad in his intensive care nook
Singing psalms, reading Bible verses to him
Praying fervently… yet hiding my grief.
With my hands clasped in his, I saw him smile with his boyish grin
Uttering no word, but I heard in my heart his shout of care...
Serenely, he gave up his final mortal breath
Leaving me and my siblings grateful to the Almighty Father
While singing “It is well with my soul.”

I imagined my phone ringing, “Hello, Dad… I miss you…”
Staring at his photo, I exclaimed
“I see you and Mom holding hands in heaven.”
Calendar reverberates awakening reality…
Dad’s celebrating with angels his death anniversary.**

Premium Member Peacefully Pedaling Two Wheels To Paris

Headed for the tower

Watch the legs supply the power

Using a simple two-wheel device

Spirited competitive ride healthy and nice

This athletic mechanical dance

Traveling the scenic villages throughout France

Checking the rural roads

Letting everyone know

‘How is it holding up after the mountainous winter snows?’

Twenty-one stages to do all this

An international spectacle not to be missed

Late June and into mid-July

Townspeople applaud as the colorful circus goes bye

Bringing neighbors together

Sometimes enjoying beautiful weather

But when it rains

No one complains

About this strategic cyclist game

Yellow, green, polka dot

Shirts note which riders are winning and are hot

Tour de France is arriving at its destination

City of Lights gearing up for the championship presentation

Under the arch

They glide not march

Thirsty and parched

Knowing soon the accomplishment will be real

Proclaiming well done to the peaceful pedaling deal

Gargoyles stamping the approved entertainment seal

Hitting the end line

Everything finished and fine

Ready to pour the victory wine

While success dines

On time

Using the sponsor's dime

And listening to the Notre Dame bell’s chime

With nothing to fear

Until next year

When they come back here

For the Tour de France cheer

Saturnalia

Cycloidal forms transmuting to the involute
obduration under duress a malleable direction
coming to nothing just the gearing of time
Spartan gates left open to a millennium of thought
three legged animals given there a soft palfrey canter
air floating fish seen and their no need water
still the rusting coulter rusts and rusts
the power such lasciviousness constant thought
why would a simple man under go such agglomeration
deracinate weak seeming silly there the confederations
let us all sharpen so freeing all thought
fools are fools concomitant if you will keep with it
monsters lovely chimeras and beauty
entering the world of Hieronymus Bosch
let us not be reduced to the witch of Buchenwald
interweaving ourselves into their existence

Premium Member Something Is Missing

Something is missing from our winter days
which seem irregular from former years.
This is mysterious in many ways-
although convenient, winter has changed gears!
Here in our Hudson Valley, New York State,
scant dustings of light snow we've seen to date!
No ice on ponds where country folk could skate!
The temps each day are warmer than before-
buds waking up! Such fair clime can't ignore!
A milder winter- should we ask for more?
But wait! Our March is gearing up her phase!
Will she make up for what's kept in arrears?
Should we stand by for blizzards at her gate?
Let's see what fickle March will have in store!

Dear Ronny

Dear Ronny

What a Divine being you are !
You gallop in all your fours
the moment I call thy name.
At times, even my very look
fetches fast your benign presence.

You wag your tail ?
Flap your fan-like ears ?
Sitting by my doorstep rail
you wean out all my fears
and gently bark...you smile ?

Busy dad running after money
Self-gearing mom with her
Hectic hitches at her women’s wing
Brother, too little to talk to.
Friends stuck to mobile phones.

Tried to communicate grand-dad
Listless he had become, grew impatient
My approaches right or wrong, I was glad
I kept indoors like an eternal in-patient
for, none tried to understand.

Even tried God , Him I trust.
Threw silent prayers...again prayers
They say – a prayer is thanks giving.
It must be a supplication
Never turn it an application

Carrying worries to Him ? –my inner voice
No...Let it go. He destined it so.
Then, I turned my head to you, my next choice
The best choice, Ronny, raise thy brow ?
Doggy, you alone can bring me poise.

Now, I am pouring out my worries
Into thy reticently receptive rectangular head
Like the main channel of a overflowing reservoir
Forcefully falling into focused fathom
You wag your tail? Is it tail ? Or head ?

When an understanding soul is there
We continue riding in one-way
I tend to continue in that vein
Hey, Ronny, What’s that? Tears in thy eyes ?
There...I got my living god.

Composed by Muralidara Kannan

The Face In the Moon

Blood drips from my weary eyes
Tears weeping for the tyranny of time
Villainy rapped up in the atmosphere
Raping and seducing the innocent without fear.
The baseness of aged old women
And the iniquities of hoary men
Mingling in dirty beds dining in public places
And sleeping with gray- haired jezebels.
The ageing moments creeps slowly upon the door steps
Spewing out guilt and starving shame
Greedy guts packed with treacherous fumes
Mesmerizing the mind of innocent youths.
The authoritarian amalgamate with them
Laughing with them feasting with them
And shaking their bloody and filthy hands
Wounding hearts puncturing souls
Yet half of the story is still untold.
The music rattles on battered edges
Playing a sour disgusting tune
Gearing up for a perilous journey
Hoping that it will give them victory.
I spent the entire night in the parking lot
Crying out to my invisible God
Asking him to show his hand of mercy
And deal promptly with this vicious cruelty
I wept and prayed yet everything remained the same way.
But yesterday while driving around the block
Something magnificent happen right on the spot.
The big round moon with its glowing light shone directly through my
Windscreen and I saw a face in the brightly lit moon
It was smiling as if it was speaking directly to me
I had to keep my eyes on the road so I glanced at it for a few seconds.
And when I circled around the block
The face in the moon smiled at me again.

                                                                   ©2014 Christine Phillips
