In Dreams, Her Spirit Sallied Forth: with Lin Lane

Through frigid months, she waited for Spring rains
to give relief and ease heartbroken pains,
Nature will award that which Life commands
placing her true love, in its gentle hands.
O'sweet promise of passion's fine delights,
candlelight dinners and intimate nights.

With eager dreams her spirit sallied forth.
Away from winter's chill, in the far North.

Countless, were the eventides spent in dread
Praying he'd stay safe 'fore lying abed
She wished on stars in darkened Winter skies
as tears pooled in her melancholy eyes
Arctic winds blustered; through tall pines they'd blow,
layers of oceans, in white waves of snow

In Wintry dreams, her spirit sallied forth.
Away from winter's chill, of the far North.

Pictures sent from her beau, her Southern man
whose dashing looks, deep blue eyes and bronzed tan,
had her heart remembering their first kiss
Without regret, love said, "Hold onto this!"
To wake with dawn's sweet warmth, upon her face
would ease her sorrow and heartache erase.

In ardent dreams, her spirit sallied forth.
Beyond the frosty chill of the far North.

She brushed her hair, raven tresses fell
Her firelight shadow evidenced the swell
Softly, she hummed, cradling her unborn child
A motherly instinct that brought forth a smile
Having a babe, they had both long revered
That he'd be back in time, she deeply feared.

With anxious dreams, her spirit sallied forth.
Further from winter's chill of the far North.

She was haunted by his voice in a dream
and awoke with the sound of her own scream
Rain, her companion, on an April morn
Pains let her know their child would soon be born
Alone, she prayed that she'd know what to do
In the door strode a man; eyes of deep blue.

No longer a dream, her man had come forth
To deliver their child in the far North.

Thank you for opening the door to me for this write, Robert. It began on a cold Winter night, but Spring rains brought with it, a new beginning. Writing with you is like opening a treasure chest of beautiful gemstones.

Premium Member Shine Forth His Light

Shine forth His light, dispel the night!
Spread love that's true, let hope glow bright,
May your words be seasoned with grace!
Looking up to Christ, run your race,
Unfurl His undying love's might!

Light your candle’s love infinite,
Reflect the Son, good deeds highlight,
May others through you God embrace,
                         Shine forth His light!

Let your blaze all around ignite,
If not a lamp, be a flashlight,
May your radiance help them trace
God’s peace that nothing can replace,
                        Shine forth His light!

Spit Forth Guts

Oh the venom on these lips
cold fury should you
taste it there. Drink
deep my gathering gloom
quench your thirst for
my lies and my truths
and my muted thoughts.

Stand still frozen dead
in pools of wonder and
dread for this poison
that seeps into your
pores will not soon
leave the haunted spaces
your frightened places
there will be myriad traces
where it killed the
wonder it found in your
dull and dreary mind.

Choke on toxic thoughts
vomit my musings and
spit forth guts colored
black with doubt and
fear and torment stain
the ground with your
loosened purpose your
pathetic beliefs that
words are always intentions
of the noble and righteous.

Flow among the streams; forming back, white dreams

Taking sunbeams; blessing our Lord’s supreme

Premium Member Ideas Spring Forth

I wander through its corridors
 And up its winding stairs
 I enter cobwebbed rooms
 And find the yesteryears

 I wander through its seasons
 And find my autumn there
 The leaves are falling slowly
Yet there is no time to spare

 I wander through its canyon
And find a river running deep
There is no time to linger
 The subconscious never sleeps

 I wander through its pathways
 A never ending maze
 Ideas seem to spring forth
 Imagination has its ways!

Premium Member Bursting Forth

The house wears tight
and small like an old shoe
on a growing child’s foot.
Wanderlust invades in sandals.
Palm tree dreams scent the air
with coconut oil and jasmine.
The confinement ends with sleep.
The laces of reality snap.
Toes push forth into oceanic bliss
water rushing, embryonic fluid
balms the birth of dreams.
Barefoot rhapsody abides.

Premium Member Wonder Pranced Forth

Wonder pranced forth
Took me by surprise
Whirled me and twirled me
Shaking me out of my doldrums

Enthusiasm threw me in the air
Imagination caught me
Joy laughed at my confusion
Delight shook me out of my mediocracy

All happened as I gazed
at my new grandson
The world was once again
a place for happiness and excitement.

A new mindset
A new day
A new baby.
Just the attitude adjustment I needed.

Though It Is Dark, Light Will Break Forth

It’s so dark, there is no signal of light
All my beloved ones have shifted away.
It’s just me in this dark brim tunnel.
I keep moving forward, but the more
I move forward the darker it becomes
Tears of sadness are rolling down my cheek.
God the creator of the Universe is the only person, I can talk to,
Everybody is busy with their own world.
Though its dark, light will break forth!!

The more I talk to God, the happier I,
Become. It’s like each day he is wiping, my tears of years.
He keeps telling me, He is the light of the world.
He keeps comforting me, it’s like day after day, I am closer to him.
It’s like I have I have depended on him completely.
And have trusted him all the way.
Though its dark, Light will Break forth

I woke up today to a bright Morning sunshine,
With the light rays penetrating through my eyes.
I knew my day had come. Though it was a long time through
This tunnel. But my light has come; my day to shine has come.
It’s like God was saying, Arise Shine for the light has come.
The Glory of the lord has risen,
The Glory of the Lord has come.
I said it, though its dark, but light will break forth!!

A Walk Across the Forth Bridge

Thursday morning
Day aff
Time to have a think...

Down the M9
To Edinburgh
And walk across the Forth Bridge.

In the car
It's not very far
Only 26 miles,

Last day of sun
A'fore it rains a ton
Time for a few wee smiles.

Wind in hair
We must be there
Across the Firth of Forth,

Batteries charge
As the bridge looms large
So does the presence of the Lord.

Forth rail bridge
The diesel sings
As trains float over its tracks,

The red tinged steel
Matches the sun's feel
As it works on our head and backs.

The path looks long
The curve rolls on
Approaching Queensferry north,

Cable and steel
Engineering congealed
On the magnificent Firth of Forth.

The bird's eye view
With the seagull crew
Reveal the Firth's glory,

Where the bridges float
With the sailing boats
On this Edinburgh prairie.

Clock turns one
The walk is done
We leave the water and lorries,

Waste some time
Write another rhyme
As my wife and I smell the coffee.

Springs Forth Spring

A season to delight, to sing and thrive

Birth of spring beckons new life

Casting aside the winter nights

Dancing gay the flowers bloom

Endless days of soothing clime

From the trees the wind chime

Grasses lush and green grow tall

Hotter days soon to follow

Igniting the passion strong

Joining in the lovers song

Kites brought out by children gay

Lurking ice soon melts away

Moist soil that promise growth

Never doth such time come oft

Over the hills the sun emerge

Promising the awaited warmth

Quivering underneath its touch

Rosebuds kissed by hungry bees

Sucking at the lingering beads

To fill their need for sweetness deep

Unfolding the rainbow stretch

Vast corn fields flourish much

Water taking silent course to sea

Xanthic carpet beneath the tree

Yonder lies the clear blue sky hued

Zenith of happiness is procured

Go Forth

Go forth, you man of a hellish breed.
Go forth, you man of yellow hair and skin of orange hue.
Go forth, with your wickedness a brew.

Go forth, and dwell in your white sanctuary.
Go forth, with your perilous games of foreign adultery.
Go forth, and immerse yourself in an ocean of self-indulgence,
ignorance, and immorality.

Go forth, with your lust for wealth and power.
Go forth, for greed is a grievous evil under the sun.
Go forth, with your wonted behavior of wickedness,
for your time grow closer to the hour.

Go forth, you man of a low degree.
Go forth, with your oppressive grip on the throats
of the sick and the poor with your vile decree.

Go forth, for evil has devoured your soul.
Go forth, with your heavy ruthless foot on the backs
of human civil rights.
Go forth, for your heart is as black as coal.

And we shall..
Go forth, like a great cloud of tenacity
under the brilliance of God's glorious sun.

And we shall..
Go forth, under the blanket of the starry night
feverishly protesting until our mission is done.

And we shall..
Go forth, fearless and in a diverse unity, with our hearts
heated and our minds brilliant.

And we shall..
Go forth, united and unfeigned in rendering our cause in concordant.

And we shall..
Go forth, with a legal and political vise against
you and your minion's mandates of inequality.

And we shall..
Go forth, with our fight for equality of all humanity.

You My Son Shall Venture Forth Without Fear

You my son shall wander into vast halls,
sit by craggy rocks upon mountain peak.
Hear the wisdom in Nature's sweetest calls,
wade in deeper where rushing waters speak.
Listen to night owls as they softly hoot,
see the slow sinking moon sparkle anew.
Walk soundly, learning to ride, rope and shoot,
sail daringly upon great oceans blue.
You my son shall venture forth without fear,
face the darkest storm and its mighty blast.
Hold out against great pain without a tear,
catch fish on each and every thoughtful cast.

Yes, you my son, shall do better than I.
This my last prayer pleads before I die.

Premium Member Comes Forth the Rain

comes forth the rain, riding a cloud
bucking, straining, fighting the reins
snorting, cavorting, brassy and loud
comes forth the rain, riding a cloud

rambunctious colt, kicks loose the drain
landscape obscured, wrapped in a shroud
water is sheeting, down to the plains
comes forth the rain, riding a cloud

paired but untamed, neither is cowed
rider gets thrown, back on again
headstrong, stubborn meets angry and proud
comes forth the rain, riding a cloud
