Best Formidable Poems
Often, I fall to the ground in anguish and burst into tears,
not for lack of strength, but to ask for forgiveness;
seldom, I venture down a narrow and unlit road,
fearing the assailant is waiting for my innocent blood!
I call upon the Lord of infinite kindness and mercy
to keep those bad-willed men off my treacherous trail;
how I want to scrutinize the awesome universe
and name a few planets with careful observance!
And although I am unable to spot and discovered any,
with the naked eye: I seek them more than the Holy Grail!
Often, I question with disbelief how fate makes me broach,
affecting my emotions and destabilizing them to incur
dread when the heavy tread of footsteps approach;
are they those of a ghost or is someone at the door?
Not all men are evil and can boast of a massive wealth,
being rich is the privilege of the few, others only dream of it;
I've been assigned a formidable task which requires no stealth:
to make most of this existence, not indulging in excessive guilt!

On this vessel for far too long.
But as captain, I can't jump ship.
The land taunts, to me you belong.
Why did you agree to this trip.
On board for just over a year.
Mentally trying to stay strong.
Losing my marbles I do fear.
My career choice was very wrong.
Crashing waves sing a mocking song.
So you thought you could handle me.
Vastness of my waves are headstrong.
From me you will never be free.
I will invade your dreams at night.
Haunting nightmares I can prolong.
Decision you make should be right
Accept, then can we can get along

There once was a fellow named Jack
Always tried to be a leader of the pack
Then one day it dawned
Three clones I spawned
Now we're all a formidable triumvirate

Limerick
So brittle is our finite life's short stretch.
Demurely, we spend out our early years.
Immutable at first, we're glad to sketch
each interlude of life without deep fears.
Our time seems limitless to spend away;
end of each night presents a brand new day.
As years fly by, so quickly turns each page.
Though tenuous, we come to alter views
that soon become formidable with age.
Bereft, we read friends' passings in our news.
Tho, thankful, that for now, we're freely spared,
we live in death's dark shadow, stay prepared.

Being compellingly formidable..
requires a character more invicible!

Flogging fourteen flustered freshman froggies
Furious followers filed fine-tuning finesse
Frostily furthering fruitless froggy fortitude.

A most wondrous view lies before me,
And to my back; a perilous endeavor
Nevertheless, let my journey commence and my mind be free
From this very moment, will arise cunning most clever
Lo, I have but no other choice,
To take a most literal leap of faith o’er this cliff’s edge
Lest, this fearsome fire may halt at the sound of my voice
And swiftly retreat from my presence on this rocky ledge
Nay, despite my efforts, the fire draws near
Thus I act on my newly-conceived notion
And I fall for an eternity, met with a reality becoming clear;
That perhaps my peradventure has been without merit
For on this day, God saved me from the fire’s taunting gleam
Hence, the Lord patiently waits to fulfill His glorious scheme

Evelyn was a gorgeous woman, sweet tempered and fun.
Larry knew that the second he began to date her, three months ago.
She seemed to be everything he wanted except for one small thing.
She was rather plain, not a looker, someone easily forgotten.
Thought this as he entered the French Quarter, for his afternoon snack.
Saw shoes first – they were sexy, sensual, red satin, with flirty ties.
Followed by legs that went up to the top of the Empire State Building.
He felt his cheeks redden. Had she seen him looking her over?
Stunning, with curly auburn hair, and a slender, glorious swan-like neck.
Larry watched. She was deep in thought, guarded by a collie like dog.
The dog stared daggers at him. They were a package apparently.
Maybe the dog was a shepherd; Larry did not understand dogs.
Dress was strapless, a sweetheart neckline; her breasts were perky.
Young, he thought; way too young to be wearing that much make up.
It was the Dad in him; he had a twelve-year-old daughter, Maggie.
The beautiful woman began to stir her beverage; the dog did not move.
A gorgeous pair, this woman wearing pearls at her neck and ears,
And impressively tall, protective, white dog with tan embellishments.
“Larry!” Evelyn sat down and noticed the young beauty right away.
“Look at that gorgeous hand-painted scarf in her lap!”
Larry pretended he did not know whose lap she mean. “Whose lap?”
“Oh, sure, you did not notice her?” She nodded in the dog’s direction.
“She is young enough to be my daughter!” He said indignantly.
Evelyn’s eyes danced, she looked prettier than she had ever looked.

Lyric
America is the birthday cake of earth,
As the ants march from every direction.
Thank God for all who have sworn to defend her,
Serving with love, honor, pride, and affection.
Since the first day George Washington marched off to war,
There have been those who have wished our demise.
Their hatred, fueled by jealousy and greed,
Was defeated by our brave and the wise.
Once again, we must face a formidable foe,
Who have pledged by their God to destroy us all
Misusing their faith as an excuse to kill,
As for a worldwide jihad, their leaders call.
Some say we should try to appease them,
For if we resist, they’ll hate us even more.
But the David's among us shall cast our stones,
Defeating them, as it was done before.

She was a formidable predator; loved the taste of blood.
Did not need anyone cooked or braised; liked meat raw.
There was only one she-monster in the woods, which was fine.
The rest of us stayed out of her way, unsure whether she had eaten.

an enemy who has stuck with you since the day you met them
is a commendable one,
for it is they that have stayed constant & strong
when others have come & gone
it is them that have paid attention, read all your work, seen all your films,
observed all your paintings, heard everything that came out of your mouth
(and thought long & hard about it), laboriously monitored all your actions &
dreamt up new & interesting ways to
**** you over,
all day,
every day,
spiraling out into infinity &
that,
that is something that you just can’t buy,
you can’t sell on ebay &
you sure as hell wouldn’t give up
for a week in the bahamas
or a winter lodge in aspen.
a formidable enemy is more like you than you realize,
because they understand exactly where you are & at the crossroads,
choose to go left,
instead of right or
right when you go left---
either way, they may use every itty bit of the hate that they can muster in their arsenal to
do their best to destroy you,
or they might just dream of your death in a lingering manner
while playing with their sautéed vegetables
while out to dinner with their main squeeze.
most of all,
this enemy,
of which you have the greatest admiration,
will ultimately outlive you
(be it physically, or having passed on their hatred of you to others who now have come to hate you as well, having studied under this genius),
and for that, you are eternally indebted to them,
because it is the enemy, so strong & so determined to
stop you,
which provokes you & forces you to use your built up
reservoir of anger
in the most efficacious way possible.

The truth not fictional
If you don't get the principle
Then it's not clearly visible
No it was not biblical
Or mythical
Zero to do with being political
Yet they'll treat you like a criminal
Making themselves look cynical
By being analytical
As well as overly critical
It's become whimsical
Is it clinical?
Often typical
For an individual
To think it's unfixable
When it all gets difficult
Acting like life is not livable
The evidence is inadmissable
Since far before this world became digital
The gap is not always bridgeable
Especially with those that are inhospitable
It'll get despicable
By staying sad and miserable
You just may do something unforgivable
Don't think your invincible
By doing something pitiful
Quit taking it all literal
Not everything will be visceral
Can you understand the subliminal
See past the physical
Among all the minerals
While at the peripheral
At first it seems miniscule
But it may backfire with ridicule
How could anything be winnable
By only doing the bare minimal
I just hit the right syllable
I was always smoking something medicinal
Breaking the mold of what is traditional
I can only be myself, I know how original
Still aiming toward the pinnacle
Just can't keep doing the predictable
My love unconditional
Pay attention or it's miss able
I can't afford to be an imbecile
Remain stuck and puzzled by something mystical
Since life can get formidable
The cycle continues on and it's cylindrical
Could almost call it intrinsical
Always out to trick with calls
Scammers want you to click install
Getting sick of y'all
There's no crystal ball
I've no time for whiffle ball
Got to risk it all
Just may slip and fall
Or climb these big obstacles like it's a little wall

formidable to the last
is funny when you think
you are strong
yet life temptation
proves you are weak
only the willing
move when they decide
cos actions
determine the value
of spoken words
so my tribute to
the late brave
will always be a
gratitude forever
they are the God
of every suffering
generation
their strength
is a formidable force
their message is
worth more than
a fortune
Cos despite they
are always short
lifted from life
their legacy
remains an everlasting
gift to humanity
their lesson
is our guide
against oppression
we are protected
by their formidable
energy
no wonder despite
our long suffering
era's after era's
generation after generation
we still remain
formidable to the last

Epic
The Wind howls in solitude,
unstoppable, in Her might.
And brushing the scenery,
She dusts off the stars at night.
Her sensual, tactile touch;
offering pleasure and death.
She whistles through the treetops;
fluttering leaves with Her breath.
Invisible: She ferries
dandelion tufts aloft.
And reacts to Nature's whim;
with a storm, or gentle waft.
She is the weaver of clouds
yet scatters them all astray.
She's a formidable force;
with considerable sway.
A salty sailor's mistress
and the godmother of kites.
She is like a playful friend:
who tickles, and sometimes, bites.
