Pretty Woman

Oh, pretty woman
You have caught my eye
On a business trip
And need a tour guide
With beauty and wit

Week rendezvous
Evening delight
Dining, fine wine,
Falling in love

We're from two
Different
Worlds dear, but

Say you'll
Stay with

Favorite Movie

Ernest Hemingway's book,
"A Farewell To Arms" was
made for movie theaters
and stirred my emotions
in the year 'fifty-eight.
It was a big hit then.

Since I was with child,
Catherine awakened
such deep maternal
feelings inside me.
I felt how she felt.

Sad times ahead.
Baby born dead;
mother passes.
So traumatic.

Broken hearts;
sober scenes
full of grief.

My eyes,
full of

tears.

Characters Frederick Henry (Rock Hudson) is an American officer serving in an ambulance unit for the Italian Army during World War I. Catherine Barkley (Jennifer Jones), is a Red Cross nurse he had met earlier, near the front, and they engage in an affair.

My Favorite Movie Star

Debbie Reynolds won my heart when I was twelve.
The Unsinkable Molly Brown, her role.
Her spirited acting did into my imagination delve.
Her voice and expressions shone on a grassy knoll.

Raw enthusiasm and dreams bubbled from Molly’s soul.
Reynolds portrayed her well; the character is woven in my mind.
Whether she was rich or poor, or burning up the bankroll,
I remember her well as through my memories I rewind.

She has played in several other movies over the years.
Choosing characters with valuable messages was her voice.
"A Gift of Love", the Daniel Huffman Story brought me to tears.
An actress with talent and values makes her my choice.

There have been many great actresses since movies began.
Stars like: Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, and Sandra Bullock
Brought in big bucks because of each supportive fan.
But with Debbie Reynolds, I remain awestruck.

Premium Member Favorite Movie Performance By Actor Colin Firth: a Single Man

L.A ‘62. English professor George (Colin Firth) is mourning the loss of his gay partner. He's
spent the day reliving memories, but that night meets his student Kenny (Nicholas Hoult),
who secretly admires him, in a bar. The two end up at George’s house after a spontaneous
ocean swim. Kenny has just emerged from the shower, wrapped in a towel. George is making
a fire. When Kenny goes to get a beer, he discovers a nude photo of George’s dead lover in
a drawer. His suspicions about his teacher are confirmed. A beautiful score of stringed
music, nostalgic and tender draws me in to every nuance of Colin's performance.

George, feeling foolish and seeming a bit flushed with anticipation (yet restraining himself
from improper conduct), sits on a chair across from the young man when the boy returns to
the living room. A conversation ensues in which George asks Kenny questions, trying to
discern the young man’s reasons for being there that night. The boy, too, is trying to learn
things about George, but keeps hedging with his responses to George‘s questions, and
nothing completely “telling” is ever said. Meanwhile, their eyes linger on each other. The
young man’s eyes are an enchanting almost gleaming blue; I find it hard myself to look away
from his sweet face. My eyes are also riveted every second to George’s face and to its many
subtle changes of expression.. Finally, the boy asks George something and at that moment,
George’s face blurs. My curiosity is very aroused when suddenly the scene has switched to
George awaking at about 3 a.m. from his bed.. The young man, however, is not in the bed
(as I had hoped he would not be). He is asleep on the sofa, and he clutches in his hands the
gun which George had planned to shoot himself with. Had George revealed his plan to end
his life that day to his student? Was that what happened in those missing hours? Had the
boyish Kenny (while George was sleeping off his drunkenness) found the gun in the same
way he had discovered the picture of George’s partner and now was holding it to prevent
George from carrying out his suicide? I know I am soon going to learn George’s fate. . .

Favorite Movie Scene(Ghost)

I Love This!!
From Ghost with Patrick Swazey, Whoopi Goldberg, and Demi Moore

Patrick is a ghost and is after his best friend that had him killed..

Call it just deserts or poetic justice; Patrick figures out how to get revenge on his best friend
turned betrayer, thief and murderer. His best friend's cronies come looking for their money
and he does not have it due to Patrick double crossing him out of the money, earlier. His
murderer is killed and lying dead in the street when hades opens up before Patrick's eyes and
releases demons to take him kicking and screaming to hades.
After hades captures his prey, a bright light from heaven opens the portal to carry Patrick to
his eternal rest on high.

For the best movie scene contest.

MRS. DOUBTFIRE

There once was a lady named Doubtfire
Who was known to be a real spitfire
She was a nanny
Who would spank your fanny
And still be someone to admire

Mrs. Doubtfire was a real fine nanny
Although a little uncanny
She wore funny clothes
Had a large bulbous nose
And quite an oversize fanny

Premium Member While You Were Sleeping Favorite Movie Ever

While you were sleeping, 1995.
I am Sandra Bullock, feeling alive.
Whenever I am sad, in any way,
I become Lucy Moderatz that day.

Favorite all time movie and so much more,
Eliminates sadness from every pore,
I do not jump on tracks, but see who does.
Stalk him hard as any soul ever was.

Carpenter brother Jack is my hero.
Escaping my cat life, feeling loved so.
People embrace me. A family again.
This movie for me is a total win.

Movie I enjoy, so totally dear.
I probably watch it eight times a year.

My Favorite Movie

Romantic with Action
Yeah that's what I like
Vampire's and Werewolve's
Who come out during the night
Love and Confusion
Fighting to get that girl
Vampire's and Werewolve's
Don't get along in this world

Bella chose Edward over a childhood friend
But Jacob never stopped trying to impress her in the end

Twilight is my movie
I watch it all the time
Vampire's and Werewolve's
I really don't mind
Watching them fight, over just one girl
Is really romantic
Even in this broken down world.

It is a classic movie destined to be,
unless we all end up enslaved by a government as portrayed in the movie,
then it will be censored most certainly,
making it a crime to possess, never again to be seen.
Its main character is referred to simply as V,
a vaudevillian veteran,
cast vicariously as both victim and villain.
Seen as a terrorist by the government,
seen as a figure of hope to the general population,
seen by me as a powerful message, basically very simple.
"People should not be afraid of their governments,
governments should be afraid of their people."
V For Vendetta in my opinion,
is a movie worth watching for everyone,
even children,
despite the movie's mature R rating,
but I'll let you responsible parents make that decision.

My Favorite Movie

Seems these days there’s a million shows,
of every make and every kind.
Trying to find that perfect one,
it is enough to blow my mind.

I flipped though all the streaming stuff,
I admit I have quite a few.
Searching and scrolling, looking for,
something that’s exciting and new.

After what seemed like an hour,
I found the one I wanted to see.
I leaned back in my recliner,
just my popcorn, my blanket and me.

I woke up three hours later,
the movie played and was gone.
The screen said are you still watching,
would you like to see another one.

With all these choices I have now,
I am afraid I must confess.
I don’t search through them anymore,
I just watch reruns of NCIS.
