Prayer

This morning I woke up and bend my knees
To enter the highest of holy place
Here from my Patmos to see the Shekinah seas
And taste the eucharist of grace.

I am praying man, for prayer is the only eye
I have to see the things unseen
The promise of choral trumpets in the sky
When from this life I am weaned.

Sometimes day's burden invisible gets heavy here
Until I lift my prayer up
When suddenly cares like clouds disappear
From the proffered cup.

O I bend my knees to give HIM thanks, to ask
For favors for my friends
And in HIS peace awhile with HIM to bask
Till blessing for my children descends.

I pray for country too, and strangers far unknown
That they for therapy could shake
Some compassion from compassion's throne
And know the joy I have awake.

The Message In the Balloon

I caught myself this blue balloon
Flying adrift and among trees
Laughing I untied it from its string
And ran in happiness at top speed
The balloon unknowingly deflated
And hung limp from my fingers
Sadly I touched its shiny surface
Feeling a lump in its heart
As my fingers explored its very life
A tiny paper note it unveiled
And on it were the words of a little child
Asking her daddy to come back
As I sat on my bed at night
And looked out to the starry sky
My eyes closed and a prayer went up
For daddy to come to his waiting child
For daddy to come to his waiting child

Premium Member A New Year's Prayer

Well, here I am again, Lord, a-knockin' on Your door,
With a prayer of thanksgivin' and a few entreaties to implore.
Lord, I thank You for sustainin' me along life's rocky road,
And for the blessin's upon this undeservin' soul You've bestowed!

For this comin' year, I pray not for an accumulation of pelf,
But for good health for my family, neighbors and myself.
May the things I do this year bring honor and glory to You,
And may I heed Your guidance in ever'thing I do.

I pray for peace that the world may be free from strife,
And that humankind will refine its sense of respect for life.
Protect our soldiers, those gallant souls so brave and strong.
I pray they'll be reunited with kin, at home where they belong!

I pray for our leaders and the myriad of challenges they face.
May they serve the people with honor, integrity and grace.
My plea is that the nation's respect for You will be restored,
For 'tis said, "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord!"

Lord, I pray for those who are hungry, homeless and depressed,
The lonely, ailing, hopeless and those who are oppressed.
For Your steadfast love and answer to prayer I have no doubt.
Seems I'm always pesterin' You, but thanks for hearin' me out!

Don'T Let Your Hearts Be Troubled

Come unto me oh sinner
I heard my Savior say
Don’t let your hearts be troubled
I will guide you through your day

For I am always with you
I’m just a prayer away
He said that if you trust in me
He’ll answer when we pray

Troubles soon this world will see
For its turn her back on Him
But we have no need to worry or fear
For we have His peace within

No matter what the Devil’s plan
Our Lord will see us through
Our Father’s watching from above
His Angels surround us too!

So when your heart is troubled
Just turn to Him and pray
Fears arrows can not touch our heart
When on our knees we stay!

Ash Wednesday

Finally went to church today-Ash Wednesday
I went for company, communion and to pray
Liked the new people, what priest had to say
I really felt like I was forgiven for sins today

It used to be only God, hard to get Jesus into
My life and prayers, now it's bound like sinew
For money owed, no longer feel a need to sue
All's forgiven. Still talk to Bruce and sister Sue

Everytime attend church, learn something new
Everyday I pray alone, today was I born anew
I will go again, really enjoyed myself, the brew
Was wine in a silver cup with bread pieces new

Dipped into the wine and eaten with the others
Fellowship in God's love with sisters & brothers
Told female priest - many fathers and mothers
Baptized/confirmed Episcopalian and my mother

Sang in her Episcopal church, so sweet a voice
Larry dropped me off/picked me up, his choice
No singing, just prayer and sermon - REJOICE
When Jesus so returns - Will I hear his voice?

As I do every night, I will pray for redemption
I believe it will be later in the souls convention
I will see my beloved brother, parents, baby
I will go to Heaven all around us, just maybe

War On Terror

Navy Seals, they are the boys
no mistakes or error.
They have gone and rid this world
of one man and his terror.

Holed up in a Pakistani house
hidden behind a twelve foot wall,
there became no hiding place,
oh how the "mighty one"can fall!

His body washed and put to sea,
oh let us take a breath,
is this demon really done
is he put to death?

No matter what your faith
or what your point of view,
there is one thing oh so clear
we have to see this through.

Let us take a moment,
although we"ve lots to fear,
and appreciate a victory
mark this day and year.

Say a prayer for all who mourn
at the setting of each sun,
and join their mighty cry..
"Let justice please be done".

Murky Skies

The skies in my corner of the world are murky and gray,
Not leaving me much to write about in a very bright way,
Spring is still here but hidden under a lurking form of dark,
But flowers are underneath with a light little spark.

For darkness can not conquer any form of brilliant light,
God comes shining through and slays that type of night,
I hold on to him in much prayer for the action I will do,
He said through holy spirit " I will seek the revenge for you"

He whispered "send that letter, send that mail for me"
I wish to do something so you can finally be happy and free

You Can Run?

You can run all you want to, but it will do you no good at all
Everywhere you go, something will give you away
Modern technology, you are all over the radar screen
If you are on the run from the law, sooner or later you will fall
You will know when and how much you have to pay
So you might as well "fess up and come clean"

I guess if you want to " hide your head in the sand"
In your mind, think that you are in another world
You cannot see anything and think that no one can see you
Sooner of later your ship will hit dry land
And you are back in the same old world
So then what do you do?

You might be running from yourself and want to hide
Crawl in a hole or live like a hermit in a cave
Use chemicals to alter your mind, stay in a daze
Must be something that you are hiding inside
Without knowing it, you have become your own slave
You might want to start thinking about changing your ways

While you are running, you might want to run to God
A confession to him, is a prayer on bended knees
He knows your heart and every hair on your head
"You are already caught, so you might as well give it up to God"
It is better than all of their guilty pleas
Then thank him every night before you go to bed

Prayers Are Like a Message

Prayers are like a message
You send them to someone who can take care of it for you
But if you don’t write the message no one can help you
I have learned prayers since I was born
Every night I say a pray

These 4 corners on my bed
These 4 angels over head
Mathew mark Luke and john
This is the bed that I lay on
And If I die before I wake
I pray the lord my soul to take

And then I add stuff to it after that
And then at the dinner table when I was little I would say this prayer

God is good
God is great
Let us thank him for our food
Bow our heads
We must be fed
Give us lord
Our daily bread
Amen
God bless

The when I used to go to this church camp which last year was my last year
We would make up these prayer songs before a meal.
One of them was

God is good
God is great
God he gave us chocolate cake
He is a righteous dude
He gave us food
Ruba dub dub
Three men in a tub
(Father, son, and Holy Spirit)
Thank you god for this great grub
Amen amen amen amen

So prayers are a big part of my life and have been for a very long time and always will be

God's Gifts.

Do you hear it in the distance?
The rain kissing the earth, sighing as steam raises from hot asphalt.
Do you see the flashes of purest light?
The thunder racing the bolts across the night sky?
I shiver
Do you?
Feeling His power shake our world, His world, and knowing
I am safe
In His arms, in his hands

Do you see the children playing in the overflowing creek?
The littlest one, so small so sweet, with mud streaked across his cheek
Do you hear the jokes they tell each other as they run on their bare feet
The laughter warms the coldest water and babbles like blowing bubbles all along the way
You smile
Do I?
Feeling God is in his Heaven's and all that is wrong with this world will be fixed in the next.
Maybe tomorrow I'll send Him a balloon with a prayer tied at the end of the string.

From Miles Beyond

Icon of rare beauty, my heart desires the destiny of the sun
Reaching out to the rays, from north down south where east meets west
Holding on the comforts of freedom above distance
From the earth where I crawl, to the skies I enthrall
Like the cloudy bosom of the fog that feels the sun…

I beg for thee….your love and mine, set it free
Until the sun sets down at dusk
And a prayer is said, far beyond the miles we do reflect
Like A SUNFLOWER heeding, submitting, obeying…
That’s Life…That’s Love…That’s Us…

Key To Eternity.......

locked in a cell and bound in chains...for the crimes i committed in my heart, soul, and brain

my crime is desire and the sentence is death...the wages of sin keep stealing my breath

like an eagle trapped inside of a vultures exsistance

no rebellion,no release,no resistance...pain keeps coming with pure persistance

i call out His name with neverending insistance

i used to be a hellion now i'm living in the light

i walk by faith and not by sight

in the middle of the devils darkest night i get down on my knees...and i pray

Lord,i need a prayer and a healing...take back what the thief keeps stealing

i need lines from the Lord...i need His parables and prophecies

no time for the wicked with their wars and attrocities

i used to stay locked in darkness and defeat

in my heart and my hand is the key to eternity.......

"sana and Shabbar, a Gift To Life"

The Jewel Of Sana, has captivated the

                 omnipotent prayer of Shabbar.

She's a beauty beyond the reasoning of

                   mankind.

Yes, truly shall The Heaven's embrace

the Bossom Of Sana and Shabbar, as

they journey into A Holy Covenant Of

Love In The Heart Of God Amighty. For

                        indeed they are profoundly worthy.

Only God

Our God’s full of miracles and so full of Love
Watching and guiding from His home up above

His Mercy and Grace from His cup overflows
Why our King loves us only He knows

He sends down His Angels to help and to guide
They know our needs and are there to provide

Our God loves and cares for us like only He can
When troubles surround you, pray for his plan

Through unending Mercy and Grace He’ll supply
the needs you are facing if prayer you apply

Have faith and believe that He will provide
He never fails if in your heart He resides

What a wonderful Savior our Lord and our King
Such comfort He gives us in the love that He brings

So when you are facing life’s rough rocky road
pray only God’s love will guide as you go.

My Prayer

At times I feel outcast
Heart heavy with the shadows of my past
But this feeling never seems to last
Intense and afraid, I pray for help
Hands clasped and heart open
The shadows shudder
Captivated by the power of prayer
I pray to God
My day is brightened
The emotional clouding is cleared
And my prayers answered
He is gracious
Loving and Almighty
I hoped this would happen
But also knew
For he is creative and caring
And end my prayer then
And there
With Amen
