You Can Run?

You can run all you want to, but it will do you no good at all Everywhere you go, something will give you away Modern technology, you are all over the radar screen If you are on the run from the law, sooner or later you will fall You will know when and how much you have to pay So you might as well "fess up and come clean" I guess if you want to " hide your head in the sand" In your mind, think that you are in another world You cannot see anything and think that no one can see you Sooner of later your ship will hit dry land And you are back in the same old world So then what do you do? You might be running from yourself and want to hide Crawl in a hole or live like a hermit in a cave Use chemicals to alter your mind, stay in a daze Must be something that you are hiding inside Without knowing it, you have become your own slave You might want to start thinking about changing your ways While you are running, you might want to run to God A confession to him, is a prayer on bended knees He knows your heart and every hair on your head "You are already caught, so you might as well give it up to God" It is better than all of their guilty pleas Then thank him every night before you go to bed

Yes....we can try to hide, but God can see every hiding place....it is better to keep close, under the shelter of his love. ~ Carrie

We can't hid from the world and living like a hermit is not a good choice. At time like tese I do choose to "give it up for God" and let Him steer me inxthe right direction. I don't think He has ever failed me. Very thought-provoking poem, especially whe read on a sleepless night when the world seems too mucj with us to find rest. Love, Carolyn
