Like the voice of the wolves echoing
their harmony through the ebony night
Your love echos in my heart with
the gift of song
calling me forward to a new life with
a loving voice that melts the winters chill
Your love entices my spirit to take
flight on shimmering wings
like gliding across the moonlit paradise
of the cool blue sky
Your love whisks me away
to places yet unknown
Dancing on the stars like skipping
stones across a sparkling creek
your love ripples through my soul
forever growing, never ending.

Echos of the Heart

I thought of you today, sweetheart,
which is really nothing new.
I thought about you yesterday,
and the day before that too.

I think of you when I'm alone,
I often speak your name!
I keep your lovely photo,
in a golden picture frame.

Your memory's in my make-up.
it's like another body part!
I promise you, my darling,
I keep it locked inside my heart!

I'm told by friends, as time goes by,
that I will slowly heal.
I have my doubts about it,
because the pain is still so real!

Part of me went with you,
when the Good Lord called you home!
It broke my heart to lose you,
now, I must go on alone!

You're with Him now, in Heaven,
so all that I can do,
is say a little prayer each day,
till He calls me home, with you!

Premium Member The Quiet Death of Echos

The sound of a heartbeat,
heard only in the empty silence of loneliness
How still this moment is,
the smallness of being
When each sunset is wrapped in gray,
leaving behind another long night of yearning,
to feel wanted, to feel needed,
alone with emotions of misery,
that come and go with each passing flickering light
To stare into the abyss, feeling nothing
Awakened by the mirror of your thoughts,
that flutter in the background with emptiness
To endure the quiet death of echos,
that fade away from yesterday,
leaving tomorrow silent

Echos of Quiet

in the stillness of your last step away from me
and the shivered breath of our final kiss

I feel the depth of your empty space looming
In the hollowness carried by my eyes
and clenched in my smile as you vanished
The bird song has stilled in my ears
clouds have stopped their raining sound
Without your laugh I hear only the echo of quiet
in the chair where you should be reading
where the sheets are still satin smooth

in the stillness of your last step away from me
and the shivered breath of our final kiss

Echos of the Past

On weary feet I walk the fallow field
Hearing ghosts from another time
The ploughboy’s labour filled tread
With horse drill long straight furrows
Women clad in sackcloth and calico
Scatter saved seeds on hungry soil

Then came the chill rain of spring
They kneel in sodden clinging clay
Thinning the frozen beet and turnip
Standing only for the Angelus bell
Giving thanks to the Almighty God
For what they did and did not have

End of golden summer came fast
We played in chaff at harvests end
The labourers washed the year away
With drink and music and silver coin
No mirror reflects the toil worn face
Or tears of acceptance of their lot

I leave the field of olden memories
And stumble back to the other side
Across the way the lonely bell tolls
With wisdom of past generations
Telling me that I should leave now
Go---go---go, the old ghosts echo

Echos of the past.
Shadows haunt the girl. She sits,
Torn between two lives.

The Intricate Arc of Echos

Quite dispersions.
Peaceful allegorical dispensations.
Certain tactful dispositions.
A spectrum of disquietude.

Allegorical gravity.
The solitary wishful descents of freefall.
Long awaited acclamations of flight.

On and on, this merciful rainbow in concerts’ dawn.
A gentle dream quietly placed.
Double-fisted handfuls of sand so carefully poured into
a seven minute glass of a hour.

I love you daughter.
You are my nucleus.
I imagine your hand in mine amid our bleachers of driftwood.
Watching the Sun sleep.

With a labyrinth of meaning.
Long distance adequate flight lines of flight.
It was shot at from a distance and aimed at from a birth.
Tagged reassurance and some things that should have been left undisturbed.

Winter sets near the lazy orange of autumn.
Streaked by a sky clear clouded.
Marked by a smile of my one and only child.
Listening to the riddle of an hour glass of an hour.

Intricate arrows of echo.
They pervade the thick patterns of thunder.
With well know secrets that harbor.
Waiting for remembrance soft hum.

I dreamt of you the night you passed.
It was a cold and grey marathon of a month.
There I chanced an arced echo of memory.

There I found myself lost in a cry.
Sounding, to most, like laughter embracing this dream.
A simple hope that you wouldn’t have left that winter of windswept clouds.

Echos In the Park

It never fails. The echo's are still here.
Seems that you always come back to me.
Not around, but always near.

We used to stroll hand in hand,
our love was forever.
Vows were lasting,
making a promise to always endeavor.

We'd laugh and run,
just like kids in play.
Always taking love for granted,
never realizing that someday,
one of us would have to go away.

I remember that night.
Yes that last night.
We seen the crowd,
the yelling, and then...
a fiery flash of light.

You fell toward me,
pain in your pretty eyes.
I held on to you,
shaking, trembling,
amid your silent cries.

A stray bullet fired from an angry gun.
and within a passing moment,
your precious life was done.

And now I walk aimlessly, alone,
just walking in the dark.
Just me, you, and a memory,
I still can hear, echo's in the park.

Premium Member The Darkness Echos

The night draws down steel clouds and cold drizzly rain
whilst under roof soothing slumber yet remain.

I walk to darken gray rooms of my tomb
in bleakness and despair, malignant womb.

Kneeling in acceptance with mournful din
my penance will never end for my sin.

The outside evolves a prolonged unrest;
while I ebb, lost upon my hollow breast.

Silent Echos

When you hear the sound of echos near
                                       You know it's the souls
                                             crying in fear
out of respect they stay very still
because of the outcome of God's will.

Echos of My Mind

Tennis shoe threads mark
A path in the fresh trail dirt
Climbing to where the air thins

A grave stone is placed
Where grand forefathers once stepped
History in a hillside

Apex reached, voice booms
Hello.o.o.o.o.o
I was here, ere, ere, ere, ere

Echos of Words Left Unsaid

Maybe it is all in my head.
If that’s the case, I’d rather be dead.
Please let me know I’m not imagining it all.
I know what I hear when unspoken echos call.

But i know It’s much easier to just think that I’m dumb.
because when you ridicule, I’ll play right along.

“If she had half a brain floating round in her head,
She’d hear my words echo”….......................
yeah. The ones left unsaid.

Then you’d say “only a fool would put on that hat”.....
“Its not what she thinks, must be this, must be that”.
Well, IT IS what I think. Words cant hide all that much.
Its whats left unsaid that delivers a punch!.
Some, we can hear what to others, is not clear.
Read between lines while yours words echo in the air..

Well…
Go ahead, attach labels….they’ll fit like a shoe.
Even when its not me and its everything you!
Come on, you can throw weak spots in my face,
Poke bruises and point while I’m here in this space.

“Must be an idiot”, You say. “I am better than her “.
Why else would one stay in dis-ease and not cure?

I Know not to ask that you understand.
Clearly, it takes more than you’ve got, little man.
I don’t ask or need you reach out a hand.
For that, it takes what you lack, woman.

In many ways I AM different than you.
If our places were switched, I hope this is what id do:
Imagine for a moment…You, a Brainless Old Fish.
That nasty, sharp metal ,got stuck in your lips.
I would take it out for you, let you off the hook.
Even though you watched me squirm while I cooked.

Well remember, you’re just one step away
from the drunk you saw barf in the alley today!
And, in case you didn’t know, I can see loud and clear,
the Dis-ease that you hold, All the way over here.

Echos From Heaven

Angels descending,
Bring from above,
Echoes of mercy,
Whispers of love,

Wings of all beauty,
Wonders of sight,
Lost in the moment,
In shadows of white.

Heavens are open,
A message to bring,
Attendants of God,
Continue to sing.

Echos of the Heart

I’ve
fallen
for you
And I’ve got
tears
in my
eyes
I’ve got
my world
slowing
down
Slow
deep
breaths
Because you
amaze
me
My feelings
for you
Burst from my heart
And soul
Through the tips
of my fingers
and
Down in
my bones
I get right
down
taken over by you
And my world
slows
down

I’ve
fallen for you
I’ve fallen
for you

I’m in love
with you

And I’ll
keep fallen
for
you
Because it feels
so
good
