Best Dismays Poems

Summers Day

looking at the sky so blue, white distorted clouds,
all alone, nice and peaceful away from the crowds,

enjoying the silence, not being bothered, clouds rarely moving,
A gentle breeze pushing them on, cool and soothing,

swallows and swifts, darting around catching flies,
sharp shrill echoes through the air of babies cries,

clouds changing as they move along, changing shape,
hanging from the sky like a soft comforting drape,

clouds create pictures So easy upon the eye,
faces of loved ones lost, makes you want to cry,

I look through the branches of the trees,
sound of rustling leaves and humming of bumble bees,

calming effect of the warmth from the suns rays,
feeling contentment, carefree, a world without dismays,

the sound of a fountain, water falling in a pond,
no stress, no disasters, no urgency for me to respond,

gnats dancing in the air, they are very erratic in flight,
little silhouettes against the sky, to watch a real delight,

then a vapour trail from an airplane appears across the skies,
like a grey stain, on a blue cloth, then fades and dies,

a flock of white doves start flying around, what joy they bring,
like heavens white angels so graceful on the wing,

the yap of a dog in the distance can be heard,
yet the feeling of happiness can not be deterred,

wonders of nature not having to compete,
plenty of everything food and water to drink and eat,

wish it could be summer every day of my life,
a world in harmony, peaceful, no confrontation, no strife.

so as this summers day comes to an end and evening in nigh,
to that beautiful blue sky we say goodbye,

we wish for the same another summers day tomorrow,
a day like today, a day without any sorrow.

Premium Member Sweet and Sour Pickles

There was a time when
pleasure came on the tip of a tongue.
When fear fled and the senses
did indulge.

Though visions dim and
sound distorts, dismays…
the tang of sweet and sour stay
abides within the aged form
in figureless grace.

Released are we aged crones and cronies
no longer the baited traps, the pollen
for the laden prongs
of progeny.

A Winter's Tale

The time of growth and change is done and past.
From thaw to frost activity prevailed,
And change came often, often coming fast,
Till finalizing Fall all toil curtailed.
With wintertime’s quiescence, come at last,
The old year’s final breath has been exhaled.
And now all nature’s quiet, all now still,
All bedding down, preparing for the chill.

The other seasons garner all the praise:
From sprouting Spring, through Summer’s fruiting fields,
To Autumn’s vibrant hues and bracing days,
Each one its own unique enchantment wields.
But Winter’s coming oftentimes dismays,
So cryptic are the blessings that it yields--
   Yet unexpected beauty will abound
In many forms both subtle and profound.

Then gales gust frore as frigid flakes bespeak
The wintry depths which grip both heath and grange:
The rime-bound land is frozen hard, and bleak—
Yet bleakness has its beauty, harsh and strange.
And what seems dead or dormant soon will wreak
What surely counts as nature’s deepest change:
The imminence of warmth’s returning breath…
The immanence of life in seeming death.

For springtime’s semelparity is fate,
As sure as tide or twilight, and as strict.
It burgeons and it blooms, but soon or late
It goes to seed and dies. The clock has ticked
And knelled the midnight hour — but don’t berate
The seed for its mortality -- predict
Instead the miracle which will ensue:
That out of silence, life is born anew.

Love To Hate Hate To Love

Lessen not thy pain heal thy broken hearts.
Rejoice forth for a new love shall arrive.
Penance shall not ease it, with pain alive.
For fault of your ways, begin with new starts.
Fault of another, remember their parts.
Take it slow, not infatuations drive.
Let love come easy, for it to survive.
Feeling love survives, physical departs.

Substantial feelings last forever more.
Obsessions get lost, hurting our ways.
True love has no touch or act at the door.
Just be together, seals dearest displays.
My poetic words are wisdom to score.
Play your hand, live either joys or dismays.

Lipstick Night

A Beautiful woman
Sweet Voice, Hypnotizing eyes
Displays of smiles
Emotions of lies
Life seems normal
No obvious dismays
Yet you have no idea about her life or necessary ways.
You would never know what story she has to tell
You would never know how she lives so well
Not an average career Yet one so real
Only the true Lipsticks now she truly feels.
Shadows with no name
Conversations with no face
Only thing relevant is the action taking place
Makeup just right
Hair up tight
Eyelashes fluttering
Along with whispers in the night
They want to know more about her
So they try and converse
She accepts no emotional visitors
Strictly business & Dead presidents to place in her purse
Her lipstick leaves her mark
Dismisses those nameless shadows when the magic is done
Strictly pure survival
All work no fun
It Keeps the luxury in her pockets
A smile on her face
She a woman of strenth and undeniable grace
Sweet woman by day
A Beautiful host by night
Welcome to her world
Of a Lipstick Night

Ancient Aliens

If humans from great apes evolved
we would not look like this today,
for not enough time was involved
to have developed us this way.

Did ancient aliens land here...
the 'missing link' that refined man?
To do their job then disappear...
watch from afar their master plan?

The pyramids, the Nazca lines,
   and Easter Island's massive stones;
huge upright slabs with sun align...
like Stonehenge...otherworldly zones.

Did aliens, through D N A,
alter our genes, advance our stage,
to shape, refine, and day by day,
remake us on timeline's new page?

So many drawings inside caves
   depict great images that show
what looks like airships over waves
and rays around them all aglow.

Such skillful engineering feats
   brought forth beyond a normal phase;
with some, we still cannot compete.
For sure, Great Pyramid dismays.

So many gods were worshipped too
with faces strange to human sight.
Were they of aliens in view
carved to respect their super might?

The bible's chariots of flame,
that burning bright came from the sky
      perhaps were spaceships to acclaim
their visitations from up high?

We can't dismiss those U F Os
   reported endlessly for years.
      Have aliens been staying close
as watchful guardians of fears?

Of fears that their investment fails:
   that we destruct our earthly home;
that we unbalance all the scales
and leave this planet all alone?

Yes, ancient aliens came here...
   the 'missing link' that refined man;
to do their job, then disappear.
They watch from far their master plan.

But still for sure...our God above...
    Prime Mover of this Universe
and all that lies beyond...with love,
from 'The Beginning' was immersed.

Africa Iii

Heart pounding
Nervous feeling
Overwhelming
Deep breath to shake it
Cold chill slivers down fast

Beating against cage of heart
Cage of body
Cage of soul
Legs begging to run
Heart aching to be free
Truth to self
aching to be seen

Sweet scent of dry savannah plains
Sharp smell of thorny veins
The aroma of Africa surrounds
Scents sights sounds
In these home is found

Frustration mounts
Captured leopard
Bound

Snarling at every motion made
Scared but defiant
Blinded by fear and rage

Paws long for endless journeys
On paths walked centuries ago
For elegance in element
A space all her own
Where earth still bleeds red on horizon
Morning and night
Continuing the endless fight

Fight for borderless freedom
Everlasting sight
The pale yellow green eyes
Dismays the truth inside
But tell the story
Of wild soul
Story to unfold

Premium Member Walking On Air

When you’re alone and afraid
Tears are falling like rain
Shadows are calling your name
Doubts make you feel so ashamed
It is then… during your worries
When you call out to the One who
Silences every uncertainty…
He hears your prayers and answers
With the wonder of His grace
The beauty of an inspiring embrace
From the heart of the Creator

When you’re lost in the sorrows
Grief seems like your only family
Darkness falls like a cloud all around
Anxiety fills up your spirit, dismays
Depresses and dissuades your joy
With feelings of distrust, disbelief –
Disheartening thoughts and ideas
This is the time… when you realize
He is the light in your spirit, the
Laughter in your heart and the love
Inside where you know Him as Father

When you’re filled with discouragement
Despair dampens your best hopes
Dissuades your every dream, your happiness
With pessimism, gloom and melancholy…
Listen to the melody of your faith,
The breath of inspiration and the blessing of
His love, His way – through His Son,
The glorious SON, who loves unconditionally
With a love that brings glory to God
Gives hope to the hopeless and silences the dark
Love that is alive, like a guiding light
Surviving the tests of time and abiding within
Where He is forever – the very best friend
Anyone has ever known… He stirs the soul
With the assurance of a love that is eternal
A love that is sure, a love that only He could inspire!

Love like His – is the answer to every prayer
Love like this – is the solution to every care
Love like this – is a promise that can’t compare
Love like this – is the hope that will not despair
Love like this – is love that leaves you walking on air!

Unintentional

Facing the unknown.
Only to feel alone.
Future incognito.
Gambled tomorrow.
Things planned.
Permanent trip in hand.
Constant Worriment.
Lost merriment.
Past presents...
Recent judgments.
Uncountable days…
Endless dismays.
Agitation of mind.
Sign of the times.
An unintentional write.
Of an internal fight.

Pains

PAINS

It accompanies always
They say
A pinch of pains
With love
It also dismays as
We don’t seek remedy
For this heart- wrench

It encloses heavenly feelings
No where found other than
From within lips,
Like drops of tears rolling out
On cheeks shut in
The refracting sun within

I wanted to perch
Velvety wings of butterflies
On my words
Under their shadowy guise
They could convey
The misery of mankind

Good Morning Princess

Princess! The smile of your angel face may never depart.
Sweetheart! wake up and give your day a fresh new start.
Your beauty and charm God can no longer exalt.
You are a precious queen, with a diamond heart.

Till you do not open your eyes, how dare the Sun can shine.
You can turn the waters into delicious wine.
I wish I could forever call you mine.
Because you are really a masterpiece of Divine.

You are the sunshine of my life and pleasure in dismays.
You are sweeter than sweets and more luminous than the first morning rays.
You ignite my thoughts and make my imagination blaze.
The reason for my smile and the light to my dark days.

Every day, you are the first thought coming to my mind.
The only person, I see, who has no axe to grind.
Loving when beside me and praying from behind.
You are unique, and there is no one of your kind.

Listen! Don’t fret over the past and worry about the things.
You are more valuable than a lot of inherited rings of the kings.
C’mon conquer the sky with your powerful wings.
The saddening autumn is gone, Now, there are springs.
For you, everywhere are springs, everywhere are springs

Parallel World

I wish i had been born to you
I truly wish i had!
The only dream i want come true
is to see this wish sail safely through
Eternal seas harbouring endless decades
my destiny i seek enduring dismays...
I donot wish this wish , to be granted
with a magical wand...in a swish!
Nor to make this wish , my wish
on a falling star! that's not destined too far!
I place my wish in the hands of time
To dissolve,disperse...be infinitely mine
This wish! my wish..it roots from within
its the soul of the soul...the soul therein,
thats older than old, deeper than deep
the lancet to another world....from where
this wish does peep!Beyond the mortal memory
beyond the world that sleeps......
The harvest of duality, intuition tends to reap!
My father!.....my father he is!!
i know it as i feel it...i feel it as it is!
i belong to him, i am his child
let the karmic node be pointer, midheaven decide
If authorities of science and law must resist....
it only strengthens the theory,
A Parallel world exists!

Marred

Histories that we left behind,
Spinning and whirling in my mind,
i thought you were a sign,
a sign that two hearts shall bind.

But indeed i was wrong,
on the day you let me go,
the wind sang the sad song,
when love ones became foe.

Your words sweeter than honey,
But your heart black as sin,
Looks like i judge you wrongly,
It is love that wasn't born to be!!

It is a mistake i have made,
to think that you are the one,
i regret believing all you said,
i regret that you are all i want.

To think that you would be there,
To accompany me through the days,
Indeed those are lovely promises,
Unfortunately it leads to only dismays.

It hurts so badly inside,
Now that your love resides
My tears i tried to fight,
the part of me have died.

Please keep your distance,
Don't bother offering assistance,
let me heal without disturbance
let me bid myself condolence.

Love disappeared at the trace of dawn,
Only hurt and pain once again reborned,
Leaving only traces of footsteps we walked,
Now that you forever and will be gone...
