Premium Member The Age of Poet Destroyer

A diamond in the Frost ... I am Emily, gazing through the years,
Like Poe from rancid taste and dark smoke shadows
Florescent waste escaping a decrepit yet dulcet wilderness
Backward capabilities frontal verse, I am her the almighty universe

Ascending from yesterday's fall, literally and visibly
Swore to be everything you loathe most - a felicity of illusions
You will dream of me, a parasite you can't get rid of
Ripped open by paper and pen, rising to a new destination
A Destroyer begging to be free in search of a tender rhapsody
Blind by mediocre poets who tend a false nebulous star
No longer, will I impart into defeat - give in to trophy trust
The time of age, my allies whom I call my friends
You are more than words on any God-Given-Day

To those unworthy of me, can march away from my parade
Crying wolves, backstabbing clones, long gone stones
Each file is forgiven & forgotten, however, still trespassing
Under a microscope, some remain to be a decade of lost words
Grazing a forest-grown for old news dripping water on my belly

No matter, after starvation, I found my way back to the same horizon
Finding time and space among a new docile nation
A buried treasure finding face among a fresh myriad generation
With anchors up, I'm headed full force, against every secret endorsed

I am the one you should not fear, I relish this wonderful community
I am she mounted above all years worn rising like a newborn sword
Forged by the earth summon by the pirate's moon political creed
Ascending to a sweet ascension with the best kind of immunity
With paper and pen, I sit to please and prosper my poetry need
To you I leave --- Echoes of snow, numbing you with a poetic soul

The One Known As Destroyer

Ohh the days have been many here
but that day her name was seen
struck a fear deep inside.
Could she really be that mean?

Time passed as her name
echoed in my head aloud.
I looked at her work in amaze
at how beautiful she can inspire
the words in poems she wrote.

Soon we were souper friends
continue to inspire others work
so they would become the best.
 Contest she made work
so all could see the finest.

She will be missed here
but a destryoer she was not here.

Dedicated to my best friend the poet destroyer

Premium Member Happy Solitude, Collaboration With Poet Destroyer A

(This theme coincidentally matched up with another contest I recently
entered, so I revised my sonnet and then PD graciously extended this
idea of a day of happy solitude. Thanks, Linda, for keeping it in sonnet
form! It's a double sonnet now!)

Happy Solitude/Andrea Dietrich

In solitude, I watch the clear blue sky.
Leaves flutter on the grand majestic oak
beneath which I am sitting;. Swallows fly
around me, swooping! Now I hear a croak -

a sound that I am sure I’d never hear
if I were on a busy city street.
I stand and walk around. The sound is near.
The feeling that I get is rather sweet

when finally I spot there on the pond
the tiny frog that’s serenading me.
Crops rippling in the breeze I see beyond
my shaded spot. I'm running - feeling free.

Inside a field with flowers everywhere,
I'm whirling as the sunlight gilds my hair!
-----
Like the sun, I sit and explore the view
A sensation, of everything I lust
Feelings I found myself unequal to
Yellow leaves fall to the ground like gold dust

Once, I reached to touch a lonely rock
The sounds return back into the shadows
I felt trapped by the beauty as I walk
Suddenly branches hung like the gallows

In slow motion, with no reason to stray
Facing down, the new founding sound follows
The croak in the water echoes with play
Captivated, by the flies it swallows

A young, peaceful feel, indulging in fun
I shall kiss and see if he's the right one

Premium Member The Ballad of Poet Destroyer

"The Ballad of The Poet Destroyer"

Destroyer, and creator of words
Flying high on the wings of a bird
Drowning every inch, by foes and friends
Where has she gone?

When push came to shove,
She continued standing tall after every fall
Falling fearlessly like the falling star tapping the lips
Topaz, a star in the eyes of envy the enemy
A dreamlike, miracle mirage, fresh like mints
No reason in remembering yesterday's sad song
Slightly she moves in with the new barren breeze,
A maze in disguise, no way out
A feeling so good, you hate
The naming of names, that won't escape you
Your eyes of lust, imitate PD's sweetest touch,
Destruction, with pleasure
A new day, killed by the morning after pill
Everyone gone, shadows remain
Where, has she gone?

A feeling so good, you hate
Your unmatched precision wobbles your stability
She'll give you a taste of rays, despite your low self-esteem
Happiness turns to sadness, making every jaw drop
Where has she gone?

She's not the painting of Mona Lisa,
However, it does not stop you from spending your cash-
-To see a picture painted with a frown,
Look what you've done!

Never to return, what was, what is!
You say you love her, then you run
A dry barrel, an empty gun,
Never will the enemy be number one,
Nothing but a shadow, a rug for PD,
Like a dream, her imagery is haunting
Love her or leave her, her pen name remains
Poet O' Poet where are you?

An advocate of smiles, enjoy her copy-paste kiss
Trace her silhouette found in the midnight mist
Blindfolded, indulge by the wind
Breaking, the Texas Hold EM' Hand
Her freedom, her land
Gone insane, she laughs,
Untouched she remains, she lives
Inside of me

Premium Member Bleeding Love - Collaboration With Poet Destroyer A

Pierced by shards of shattered glass
Deeper and deeper you stab me
With lies and venomous words
Dissecting my heart piece by piece
Crushed like the petals of a withered rose
I’m dying …
Scarlet blood seeps into my very soul
Drip
Drip
Drip
Into pieces and a bloody mess
I scarified secrets;
Secrets you tore and tore,
Gracing a fake friendship,
Trust tossed like a sweaty towel
Now karma a poisonous snake
You plea ...
To be on death row, decomposing
Dripping into the night -- Silently
fading and fading
Stung by my viper lips,
smiling
grinning
laughing
Until you are no more

Fields Of Lilies ~A Poet Destroyer Collaboration~

I stand tall among the restful souls
That has received restored innocence after death
With a trumpet of harmony sweet fragrant bloom
Drowning in tears that have been shed
Soil sprinkled over me after I’m forced away
~
Loosen soil waiting to heal,
Seductive scents sing throughout spring
--before the frost of forgetfulness
Hand carried beautifully before the bells ring
A variety of fragrances, bewitch the afternoon
From bulbs to everlasting fields of empty promises

Poet Destroyer-It Will Be Ok

I know first hand the
pain in your heart,it
will be okay,soon you
can make a fresh start.

Your grandson Beal will
be watching over you,and
he knows everyday how
much you love him to.

Sometimes GOD does things
that we don't understand,
but he created your friends
to lend a helping hand.

Reach out to the people
that are here on the soup,
they help through hard times
and are a wonderful group.

There are to many to name
as this you know,
they will take you by the
hand and won't let go.

It will be okay and
soon you will see,
the new joy's in life
and how happy you'll be.

You will get through this it just takes a little time.

                                                Love your poet friend,
                                                Colleen Marie Bono

Premium Member This Is For the Poet Destroyer a - Also Known As Linda

you carve your words precisely
like a master does a flawless diamond
infuse your images on the head of a pin
not a letter wasted

you who
speaks from deeper within
with every new write

never one or one hundred reads suffices
each new recite reveals something new
grabs the readers heart
and we the better for it

you are the poet writes
like the brush of Van Gogh
his emotions vibrant in every stroke
every painting a work of genius

in your poetry
we find that pearl
hidden too deep for the diver
now opened and revealed
blinded by its light we see
what was once previously
invisible
now!
transparent

like the gentle prophet
you sew and lay a carpet
that sensitizes us
from the very bottom of our awareness
to the peak of our understanding

it is LOVE that enshrines your words
you!
the fabled unicorn
we
the fortunate
that by your cause
confirms
our childhood dreams
DO exist

Premium Member Tribute To Linda Poet Destroyer a Potd

Ay Chihuahua what a hot enchilada

Beguiling in her Dallas Cowboys letterman jacket

Flicker starlight in her eyes angel in beauty

Raven waves of silk long hair

Will torture your soul for just a small taste of her

A girly girl born to embraces her femininity, but a free spirited mujer,

Burning the darkness riding her Unicorn

Through the calm majestic presence of the night

As music follows through the sky with a thirst of her poetry

A woman with lots of passion, sweet wishes, and wings for the night

Premium Member Waiting For Unfinished Dreams---A Poet Destroyer Collaboration

[ a nette onclaud collab ]

As twilight moves through the glass of dawn
I catch my shadow hiding among trees,
like ripped gauze from a withering leaf,
that slips into the brazen darkness
weary from cracks of brittle tears,
alone once more
looking for souls who are not there ...
and I weep for unfinished dreams
upon a mute moon,
while begging for fate’s new postscript
to hurl the way, a different song this time.

Unfinished vows left behind, on this night,
I cast light from the sterilized room,
matching shadows throughout the twilight
something of dreams creeps below the pillow
searching for peace and serenity
numbers become numb
I can't breathe, knowing I'm incomplete,
trite tears longing to be together
lyrics become darkness,
the sun makes laughter once more
leaving a plume of dreams above the sheets.

I Live (I Tag Poet Destroyer)

I live.
I live to write.
I write of both understandable and incomprehensible things
I am a teenager just living the average life of semi poverty just like millions of others
I have hopes, wants, crushes, and worldly desires just like everyone else in this world does
I believe that I will accomplish what I set my mind to
Striving to be the best I can be
Writing about these things is my self-obligation
I am who I wish to be and will always be
Living life as a free female
Being an example to those that are yet to learn about what they are going to face in this life
In my own little world when all around me is crashing down
Having no fear of what is to come
Rollin’ with the punches
Scribbling out what I believe
I know who I am
I am a poet.

The Depression Destroyer

What causes someone to sink so low
And let an upright spirit to kneel and bow
To the pressures they are unable to undo
Neither can reverse this malady nor subdue?

Let us not someone retreat in the darkest nook
Before we try all the remedies in the book,
Replenish her love and together ardently pray
And shower her with care night and day.

Disheartening it is to see one of our own thus bear
The burden that lays on her heavy and rare;
Hang in there, Linda! Have faith--PERSEVERE,
Forget not who you are--The poet Destroyer!

Wishing you all the best, Linda, and a speedy recovery!

Poet Destroyer Parades and Carnivals

Poet Destroyer - Parades and Carnivals

Soft feathers gather up with color
On the wind to play as friends
They come floating first above the boulevard
Kind thoughts there elevate, somewhere between the innocence
Trumpets, drums and violins come thumping on the street
Poet Destroyer is there to keep the peace
Hiding in disguise as Linda
She jumps up one thousand feet and lands
Right in the heart of Poetry Soup with marching bands
Flutes come alive while she eats fire
Catching knives between her teeth, and bullets just for fun
While petting hungry tigers, yawning all the while
Parades fill in the rest of life with yellows reds and peach designs
When PD comes marching down the streets all smiles
She wakes up, takes on greater feats
Casting royal colors in purples, gold and lavenders
Announcing the start of carnival
Trusted, serene, sweet dreams and memories
She speaks of dragons flying by her side in times gone by
But today, arise!... carnivals, parades, and dancing happy feet
Bad memories sink out of sight
Diabolical forces, hard matters, enemies of play
Will have to gravitate their weight some other day
No draconian measures or moments here
PD has come to host parades and gaiety
Delicious love and fun gather up the sun
You can certainly feel the warmth
Rising lighter than the feathers to tickle everyone
Linda jumps again and does it just for fun

Poet Destroyer

Poet Destroyer...
When I first noticed your name, I wondered could you compete with me?
I wanted your heart in a frame and demolish all your poetry!
Poet Destroyer...
With a name like that you had to be good or not post.
But like a trained acrobat in a secret brotherhood you were better than most!
Poet Destroyer...
I never knew you were a female, it was kind of a shock.
I was about to raise some hell, and introduce you to a Poetic Warlock!
Poet Destroyer...
You would comment on everything I write and it made me smile.
I would think about you into the night, and that wasn't my style.
Poet Destroyer...
You finally told me your name, and shared your age.
This throne I'd let you reclaim, if you would share the stage!
Poet Destroyer...
Naturally I could not directly comment on your poetry.
I ask that of my dearest friend Audrey.
Poet Destroyer...
I hope you agree, a great friendship can be found between you and me;
And quite possibly we can collaborate on some steamy poetry!
Poet Destroyer...
So tell me sweetie, are you down for a night on the town with me?
Into the night, high in the neon light will read: Jimmy and Sidney!!!

*Wrote for a cool, crazy, fun amazing poet...

Destroyer -About a Poet-

who is this devastator?

tears brought freely to my skies,
slipping drops learn to fly,
sliding, falling, down ivory,
to land apon gently smileing lips,

destruction comes with beauty,
painted lips in colored blood,
emeralds shinning mischievous glint,
waves of dark night hiding skin,

stare out to the oceans path,
horizons meet the lines that laugh,
colors meet, to blend perfection,
wondering. . .

see a face, see a stare,
do you know who lies behind it there?
can you see past the walls?
or for you, do they so suddenly fall. . .

claim to be a destroyer,
claim to be a critic,
thus far i see a truthful woman or man,
thus far, i see no tricks. . .

in my mind i create a face,
though through my eyes i see none,
who is this destroyer,
who understood my hurt and love?
