Best Damps Poems

The Empty Room

an empty room
and I stare at the ceiling
blank eyes and a blanker slate,
my poker face
arms spread over my head
all I can see are
whirring blades blurring into
creamy paint and
the small cracks in between
the shadows in my chest,
mahogany
branching out their needles,
ebony
one pricks my eye
red ink taints crisp alabaster
damps it slow, slow, slow
I exhale shaky, shaky, shaky
heavy lids droop to a close
and no one sees
no one can.

White Night

O sleepless dawn
These streets spread along
Jump jump jump
This rope of sleep
I want to stay awake
And smile at the sun
As it hurts my eyes
Why leave on me
When the rest are asleep
O sleepless dawn

Your moisture crawls
On my head and feet
And damps my clothes
And licks my cheeks
Why leave on me
O sleepless dawn
When the rest are asleep

I want to wander aimlessly
In the morning light
Like a moth would roam
Around a neon light
I want to sit on cars
And catch some sight
Of slumbering eyes
O sleepless dawn
I want to stay awake
When the rest are asleep

I want to scratch my
Ears and sit on dirt
Perhaps walk barefoot
On this sullen earth
I want to sprint and sweat
And break and flee
O sleepless dawn
Why leave on me

As I watch your rays
In the sky break free
With shadows dancing
Inside of me
I want to be alone
In this secluded delight
O sleepless dawn
Why not hide your light
From all the rest that
Are asleep

so surprised.

That's the CHARLAX android he was too short to be of any use so they sent me
to finish the mission

I'm much taller than that Japanese freak. He was a Honda motor in an English

The Miner was satisfied then that the android was intelligent. When the stokker

May You

May you gently tender whatever surrounding you
As your mother tenders you

May you generously give whoever in want
As you are given by beloved ones

May you patiently enlighten whoever innocently unaware
As you are clearly enlightened by reverend mentors

May you bountifully assist whoever helpless
As you are secretly assisted by unknown people

May you wisely share the happiness with whoever never met before
As you are well hospitalized by every warm but uninvited party

May you thoughtfully apportion the sorrow with whoever mourning
As you are wholeheartedly comforted by uninvolved others

May you always fill in others' shoes
As others tolerate you

May you always know the stamina
As Sun never fails to rise

May you always known the docility
As timely rain damps the thirsty soil

May you always know the truth
Suffer as people suffer
Enjoy as people enjoy

May you always know the best time
To be strong
To be mild
To be firm
To be acceptive

Above all
May you always know
The one
You should always extend your gratitude to

The Night Is When I Write

The night is when I write, when dews and damps do light;
      When the silence is punctuated with a thought of life and love and death;
When darkness is soften by a moon so embracing and full of life.
Night is when I write, when specters rise and sit upon their tombs,
And dawn shrouds for their brief release.
The night is when I write, about those haunted paths, and lives ferried away
Too soon, weeping on the distant shore.
And night is when I cry for sins so heavy, and repentance too easy too brief.
Oh, the night is when I write, and cry, and consider this field of sadness,
      Sown with old hands.
And I would weep all night and never see the day,
But the day comes and I wait, for the night is when I write.

Mirrors

Mirror mirror on the wall
please tell us who's the fraud?
Who will come and rise like a troll
make our dreams flee and roll?

Mirror mirror on the wall
to whom you say we will subdue?
Who will come and let us fall
make our tears free and lone?

Casting shadows upon the rain
tiny mirrors reflecting the lane
of people running under the moon
as if these clouds will cry a flood

Moulding stars upon the damps
broken hearts across the land
hoping for someday a lent hand
holding us up before we crash

Mirror mirror on the wall
reflect our smiles and break the cries
To whom we go and spare the lies
make our screams heard and right?

Dead Life

A dim a dozen
A determined day dominator
As a dim dark dominance by lights
A dozen dooms domestically
A dodged fountain the cry of dogs
A denounce to announce a drum dance
As dams develop damps the duck
A duckling's life already dead.

Lamps Andaree

LAMPS

in a room full of wine bottled peagreen lamps
velvet cushions of blood pillow tramps
liquidised assorted pots
constellation drops
sanity
stops
vanity
landing dark red clots
a fresh new beating life stops
as life seeps into dark soggy damps
in a room full of wine bottled peagreen lamps

Premium Member Winter's Saving Grace

When winter shows its face, a death occurs,
those living plants unable to draw breath,
whose leaves turn brown and wither on the vine
as freezing winds tear through the grassy land.
The roses drop their petals one by one,
the ferns dry up with shrunken, curling fronds
and shriveled 'mums transform to brittle stems.
If we gaze through the window now, we view
a world so drab, we yearn for spring to rise
above the hardened soil and pierce the earth
in hues which veer from dull to rainbow bright.
Yet as we sigh and sense this winter gloom
descend, the wind itself damps down and sends
soft flakes to cover death in shrouds of white;
a mourning so bewitching, we recant
all thoughts of spring, but revel in the snow
and praise the One whose gift can still enchant.

Voice

You're the voice that echoes in my heart through eternity
Hearing you speak brings me complete serenity
In the dryness of the day, you're a song that brings the rain
Like the dew in the morning that damps the thirsty grain

You're like a gentle wind that hums a cozy song
Hearing you is my pleasure, no matter how long
In the turmoil of the night, you're the calming rhapsody
You're the gentle wind that tames the rouse of my anarchy

In the darkness of the way, you're the guiding melody
You're the joy of my soul, for sometimes you're comedy
I'll be lost without you; with you I'll always find my way
Every moment with you is always a holiday

Everytime you sing your song, my heart dances out of joy
Please be serious with my love and don't play me for a toy
For the moment that I lose the sound of your sweet voice
Is the moment that my heart will cease to rejoice

A Deafening Sense of Thunder

A thunderstorm passed over,
gun turrets flash.
gray hulls rumble and roll
above tumultuous clouds.

Evening commences to weep -
an aftermath,
a damp emotive capsizing
that barely touches upturned faces
yet it washes fright from brows.

As seafaring battles go
it was a skirmish,
flotillas of cruisers awash from
near misses;
they sailed away
leaving this whittling rain,
a backwash of electric jism,
the distant sound
of sailors shouting for rum.

Behind our eyes
deaf fish mouth deaf bubbles.
Sea legs are braced against
peripheral nerves.
Ozone spumes against inner ears.

The wake of the storm
mutes and tingles, damps down
as it slowly drips
into a salty bucket
of silence.

Memory of Spring

Blowing breeze damps my horizon like a kiss
Spring's bliss brings the memory of the heart I miss
May the light of dawn bring back her glorious grace
So in time I'll feel again her sweet embrace

Rotting Light

Rot on me light, like murky cool damps,
That drip like some sweat in your sockets.
I look on green flesh, purple, bruised and unyearned,
Take it, take it, when it's all alright,
Like a fight that ended in closure.
Steal it from the smile, and take it.
They'd rape the roses anyways, so selfish,
Fine tuned to rot on me light. Rot on me.
Turn my skin darker and pale, steal my heat,
Steal my voice, steal my words, and purity.
