A Sense of Life

In this small square room of mental illusion,
I look at my reflection in a state of desolation.
I'm not what I am in this state of confusion,
I'm trampled on the ground by my sense of delusion.

I'm a black-hole in the corner of one of my classes,
absorbing all hatred and negativity that passes.
I see no light, nor a glimmer of hope,
what I haven't learnt is the courage to cope.

I need contraceptives for my mind.
Can't bear this cynicism and broken lies.
My thoughts are sown with verbal abuses,
raised by water like the weeds on turf-grasses.

Solitude was my belief in transient relief.
Its not a permanent cure, but just a relief.
When I snap out of it, I'm in the very same shoes,
I'm leached out of my strength, from out of the blue.

Escape from reality has never been an option.
Blacking out on drugs have never been a solution.
The past three years, I have witnessed huge losses,
instead of the results, now I discern the causes.

It might not just be mine, but your life too,
But what the wise men say, is indeed true -
Your deep sense of hurt, builds up your power,
because what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger...

A Left Hand Made Verse 7

Now already we can boldly vomit out:
Nights spent at the bedside;
Late comings to the office;
 Birthday present money collected with a trembling hand;
Cards stuck in cash machines;
Cinema tickets;
Rubbish bins attached to electricity;
Contraceptives;
Invented love
History oriented on politics;
Amicable trip ups;
Story of two seas and a little girl,-
As if a chewing gum is our homeland.
Stuck to stomach.

“Pedro, Donaldo,
Donaldo, Pedro, Pedro”…

Let’s everybody massacre our full up children.
With cookies
With chips
With emulsifiers
Overfill stomach and then massacre.
At least they won’t die of hunger.

Religious Bigotry

In one spiritual being we do agree
Under varied names we called thee
From different images they were mold
How they came to be varies when told

Religion unites people of same beliefs
Some are powerful enough to sink ships
Some struggle to put their name across
Others use violence to justify their cause

From then on religion has great effects
Confusing people on issues it redirects
Constitutional laws are taken for granted
Religious edicts are usually adopted

Religious bigotry does not make sense
Makes us passive, sexist and subservient
Prohibiting contraceptives and abortion
Spousal divorce and same sex relations

Governments tend to take advantage
Faithful convictions justify wars instead
They allow them to beat, burn and kill wives
An eye for an eye for those who won’t abide

For them there are only male and female
No gays or lesbians can walk heaven’s trail
To have plenty of children is a gift of life
Taking birth control pills is like killing a child

And so backward the world moves
As increase in crime and poverty proves
As wars were launched in aid of religion
People kill to uphold their congregation

The Bible says that the day of reckoning
Is when various sects have started sprouting
If only we can learn to respect each of our beliefs
Discarding religious bigotry will save us from grief.

Talking

Talking with another friend
about the starvation
in the world she stated
"why do they have so many children?"

Another friend, comes from that area,
asking him I got told,
"Sex is everywhere,
they don't have money,

What little money they do have,
they use for buying food,
they can't afford contraceptives,
they have a right to live"

It's easy, to put the blame on people,
blame them and you have
a reason, not to help,
why help if it's, their fault,

It's all too easy for people
in the world, to blame each other,
Third world cultures blame America,
They are rich

They should solve our poverty problems
their companies create pollution
they should stop them
they are evil

the whole world loves to play
The blame game, lets blame each other
Why help the unemployed,
most of them don't want to work,

yet how do you know that,
Is that a fact, or just an opinion,
Let's make the unemployed ,
work for their benefit,

I've heard that before,
and seen the results,
an unemployed person,
working sixty hours a week,

With dreams of getting a job,
that he was never going to get,
employers abusing people,
abusing the system,

Cutting costs getting people working,
Without paying for their efforts,
opinions everybody has one,
yet what we need are solutions,

people need real jobs,
Jobs that lift them,
out of poverty,
Jobs that give them a future,

Teach a man the benefits,
and they will want to work,
teach people to create success,
and your country also succeeds,

So much more could be done
with commerce rather than charity
Charity has people expecting you
to solve their problems

commerce allows them
to solve their own problems
people with wages
don't need charity

The American people
Protested to stop pollution
If pollution is a problem
it's your country make a stand

American people, lost their jobs
with company's running away,
to operate in countries that have less laws,
and cheaper wages

For their company's,
to exist in your country,
they have already paid,
with the loss of employment.

You Blame the American people,
for the acts of a few company owners,
people that don't care about pollution,
people that only care about profit.

Peeking Through the Shadows

Take note
I will never agree to disagree
Or neither will I take a point of view to please
Some issues are prone to bias, to some level of degree
Levels of understanding differ according to one’s acceptance of the issue
Difficulty in understanding is the rejection of its acceptance

Contraceptives at schools should be allowed
But does that mean our aims for an HIV free generation will be achieved?
We lack a better way of reform!
But is there any other way through the storm?
Your thoughts are just as good as mine
We shall never know unless we try

Have we given heed to the deadly disease?
Or have we succumbed to the fulfillment of fantasies for our children?
Is this a green light to intimacy at a young age?
My thoughts secluded at this stage
I fear discrimination in exchange for my answers
Parents and guardians will be left in much rage

They are dying day and night
They lack knowledge and search for pleasure in their plight
Labeled “child prostitutes”
I call them the misled and uninformed

You refuse to acknowledge the fact that you know
Clubs in bold NO UNDER 18
Alcohol in bold NOT TO BE SOLD TO PERSONS UNDER 18
And yet you let them indulge during the night time
I have eyes and ears in all places during the night
I am not pointing fingers
Shame and guilt is written in all your faces during daylight
Controversial issues…
I separate the wrong from the right

Poverty's Angels.

wreckless.

no one is less a man than a cadaver, high on good guy philosophy. too much for me.
white wash.
there is a room w/ no walls. there is no room.

Pandora; show me that your box isn’t purely decorative. i’ll show you that my brain,
indeed, is figurative.

scratching. i hear scratching from inside!
a rat? no!
a cat? no!
a eunichorn? most definitely!

no loyalty in that box. no lithium to be had.
strange fish flopping ’round w/ bovine skulls, in a christian world, sad.

how much buddha is too much buddha?
i see him reclined in my father’s chair, uncharacteristically somber— masturbating into a
flower.
	i turn inside out, away.

distant.
children skipping rope in silhouette, gunk on their faces.
no spittle for the kleenex; mothers w/ dry mouths, eating corporate odour.

Brand New Century, Half The Fat!

innovative contraceptives administered at birth; a layer of crazy glue, a surgical glove,
another layer of glue and then we send them off to play in the sand.

Crazy.

an asian man is laughing horizontal naked, an “Hello! My Name Is:” pin attached through
his nipple.
his name is Tex.
An asian man named Tex.

there are constant shortages; money, laughter, tenderness... the cracks in my kitchen are
filled w/ poetry.

we take solace in each other; minds, bodies.
trade our youths for bread, drink from lacerated palms.

i look to find no windows; only one immaculate door, located on the ceiling, and i’ve no
ladder.

Poverty’s angels must not fall, must not die at the hands of their own good graces.

down here.

we promise ourselves forever not to be sickened by our own fears.

only the shadows that they cast.

Oy Gevalt - Moi Ongepatchket Married Life - Part Deus

Passive agreement to acquiesce by saying that necessary “I do”
impregnating the woman named above transpired until her belly grew
swollen with eden liat thy current star student
now sound asleep – counting sheep lined up in a queue
yet lately this personal state of affairs I chronically rue
and immerse myself in reminiscing about yesteryear
and wonder why passivity elected as a way to escape
utter aversion living with dad and (thy late) mom
both in a boiling can a bull stew.

Predilection to play Russian roulette by avoiding any safe sexual mode
i.e. contraceptives to avoid unplanned pregnancy
shrugged atlas off while spermatozoa adhered to reproductive code
which absence to use birth control also arose
as a natural propensity to procreate from natural urges that did goad.

Now, less joy de vivre doth prevail
to remain monogamous and uphold strictures from this male
fidelity, integrity morality, et cetera buts ahead without fail
from rampant testosterone urge to become appeased, fulfilled, satiated
no matter this dozen plus year bride and groom blindly entered
the unalterable sacred covenant whence sexual need now does ail.

After the birth of daughter numero dos did arrive
  the preponderance of physical gratification
  took a kamikaze nose dive
seeks special care in lass for long lasting marriage and love to strive.

Sonnet For the Politically Correct

SONNET FOR THE POLITICALLY CORRECT

[There is a history of the world, parallel with that which we know - or is it?]

Then Horatius slew no foes to defend the bridge
But invited Lars Porsena across for tea and crumpets
With our English dead did we not close up the breach
Nor storm the wall to sound of drums and trumpets
No promise of toil, tears, and sweat was made, but in lieu
One of handouts entitlements, counselling and free contraceptives
Our spokesmen were exhorted to tolerate every view
No 'evil empire' was confronted, with robust invective
We submitted to dependence, delusion and wishful thinking
In that parallel world of sweetness, light and no villainy
On a gradual slippery slope not aware we were sinking
In a slow subtle deluge of utopian soft tyranny
A servile decaying world we inherit if we neglect
The fight for freedom, but embrace the politically correct

Will Voters Rule Sperm Are Persons

Will Voters Rule Sperm are Persons?

By Elton Camp

When a recent referendum was voted down
There came a smile after the initial frown
Another group of folks, protection needed
So to arrange for another vote they speeded

Folks down there in the Magnolia State
Have had a scientific revelation of late
What they see nobody can rightly assail
“Sperm aren’t just cells with head and tail.”

They have looked at them with a microscope
And what they saw almost made them choke
A tiny baby each little sperm does contain
And so, alive, discharged ones must remain

Birth control methods designed to kill sperm
The severest punishment by the law will earn
Condoms and contraceptive foam are crime
Their use merits the death sentence each time

Women merely provide a warm and moist place
Where early development the babies can face
So sperm should be granted the law’s protection
Kill ‘em & you will, for prosecution, face selection

At state borders checkpoints will then be erected
So that any illegal contraceptives can be detected
Big Bubbas will be keeping the sharpest eye out
For any vicious serial killers who may be about

I believe a fertilized egg to life has a right
But I am not trying to make it a public fight
When the public votes on matters like this
The need for moral decisions is easy to miss

(Note, you might enjoy googling “theory of preformation” to gain insight into the historical background of the idea that sperm are actually tiny humans. This write is SATIRE and should be read as such. Mississippi has no plans for such a vote.)

Barkin Mad Rap

Its the working classes prolific breedin’
That ends up with their needin’
Handouts when Trident needs replacin’
Buck house needs renovatin’
Royal weddin’ funds need allocatin’
Brexit needs payin’ for
And so much much more

if we tax the rich and make ‘em grieve
They’ll only up and threaten to leave
So the only really sane way
Is to make the peasants pay
More and more each passin’ day
So they can’t afford more breedin’
Than the nation is really needin’
To provide those necessary masses
To subsidise and serve the rulin’ classes

So we really really oughta
Put contraceptives in their water
Sedate their food an’ drink
So the blighters can’t think
Beyond their gratitude
For the Tory attitude
That restricts the lower human race
Firmly to their allotted place
So they really can’t judge whether
We’re all in this together.

And they continue the farcical story
Of the workin’ classes votin’ Tory
And continue with their gratitude
And respect for the Tory attitude
God’s in his heaven in all his glories
Beneficently smilin’ on the Tories
That’s how they rule the workin’ class
That mildly conforms in their mass
And they go and kiss their betters’ Ass,
And lo, these things have come to pass

Progressive Raps

ummm...just some quick thoughts... check and reflect
I sit and dissect derelicts with dialect deliberately
I think with this pen and as soon as the ink sinks in ,it instantly producing imagery
Some say it’s a gift, how I flow with my vocabs
But that aint it i been doin this s**t since 96 fill up 100's of notepads with dopeness
Practice makes perfection, nothing less than that’s sufficient
With ease and little effort I engage with the page efficient
It comes natural when writing rhymes repetitive
Scripts always sick, still so many stuck on sedatives
Not the best that ever lived, but still very clever kid
Assembling and arsenal of lyrics no one ever did
Futuristic ,linguistics, make pupils dilate
Lips split, and wrist slit, are issued when one violates
Minds neva in a violent state, i stay cool calm and collective/ smack dab in the middle of all these posers
That should be poster children for the use of contraceptives
My methods perfected , I’m tedious with written words
And a touch more impressive, once I’m finished hittin herbs
Perception is the problem when people write they b
Thinking that the lack of criticism reflects how much that they amaze kids
It’s evident there’s blatent negligence
But it’s all irrelevant, it’s quality not quantity
If some say your dope, does that mean that your a bomb emcee?
everyone else, that’s what I keep on stressing
My worst critics myself, that why I keep progressing
But it's getting depressing, bringing water to my eyes
guys stop biting s**t
Take the time use your mind and write your s**t
Just recognise the wise rise, this is knowledge being dropped
Push the phonies to the bottom, let the scholars to the top

Upon Our Yours Truly and His Missus Exchanging Holy Matrimony Vows

Upon our (yours truly and his missus) exchanging holy matrimony vows

Ultrasound allowed, enabled
and provided obstetrician to zoom,
showing fledgling fetus,
thus we pledged our troth after spouses' womb
(approximately halfway
between her pregnancy) did balloon
uterus, wherein conception
delineated birth of eldest daughter, and many a tomb
morrow later she resides in Oakland, California.

I attempt reasonable rhyme about...
oh happy yesteryear
when newly minted groom (me) wed bride
family in attendance cried
as Justice of Peace officiated as legal guide
extolling pregnancy of she who could not hide
figurative bun in the oven which matured inside
after two gametes fused and multiplied
countless times quickly birthing embryo
baby on the way nullified
application of premarital sex
and attendant use of contraceptives.

Clear out of the blue
thee wife asked me
opinion if wedded bliss between us
ha, how heretical to think otherwise
since romance long since flew
out the figurative window
impossible mission to feign significant other
analogous to brand new
alluring, beguiling, captivating... tchotchke.

All kibitizing aside, a requited love with zeal
I attest invisible spokes support unseen wheel
when turning sparking genuine care and concern
act as buffer against emotional hemorrhage
and received good housekeeping approval seal
more applicable to most recent
elapsed wedding day anniversaries
ex post facto after both daughters flew the coop
finding me reeling with empty nest syndrome,
whenever yours truly reviews mental newsreel,
now absence of offspring, akin
to psychological wound I did heal
no longer mourning natural course
of begetting progeny more readily
accepting their necessary autonomy doth appeal.

Though marriage devoid of physical intimacy wife
get along swimmingly, we exhibit less strife
than days of yore effulgence promulgated
to all readers unbeknownst to human life
form characterized by bloke,
whose words appeared across screen
exemplifying, embodying, and edifying
regarding beloved simian counterpart
bandying playfully sometimes
drubbing and drumming my body
while she (commandeering
certain orifices of her body) emulates sounds of fife.

Premium Member The Question

Leong (one of my roommates) squirms up to me at breakfast, in the cafeteria.

“May I ask..,” she said, looking around like a secret agent getting ready to make a dead-drop, “what contraceptives do you use?”

I thought this an odd question from someone who just broke up with her long-time boyfriend but, hey, I’m an open book.

“Isolation and despair,” I replied, which got me an eye roll.

“You’re never serious!” She admonishes me.
