Best Colorized Poems
Just leave behind your paint-by-number days
Move in to your reflection in my eyes
I'll finger paint my love over your grey
So all your daydreams will be colorized
I'll paint a world beyond your wildest dream
With colors undefined on any chart
You'll find with me, no mundane color scheme
Each stroke, I'll add more depth to your fine art
And after each day we will paint the night
The hues in all your dreams will blend with mine
Imagination sparks, then love ignites
Exploding fireworks as our dreams entwine
These eyes are radiant because of you
Your beauty is reflected in my view
(fireworks 2 syllables)
by Daniel Turner
My response to Nicola's Radiant Eyes.
Radiant Eyes
Radiant eyes, you haunt my dreams,
And ignite imagination.
Piercing gems, a hint of moonbeams,
Spark my quest for exploration.
Just like a lighthouse, at night, they gleam
And guide me to your loving arms.
Your love and strength govern supreme,
And protect me from daylight harms.
But soon, the earth, in all her schemes,
Pulls me from salvation.
At dawn’s early rise, I am, it seems,
Bled of sweet intoxication.
Oh radiant eyes, where do you go,
When the nightmare of morn has begun?
I try to forget, but the soul with the glow
Lingers ’til I come undone.
Hours are so long, when will I see you
In the waking light of day?
Colour my world with your radiant hue
And end my nightmare grey.

Rise Up
ryes on the rise
with soothing flours
and Spring flowers
Rise Up
with handfuls
of caraway seeds
at Winters End
all your cares will cease
Rise up
ryes on the rise
the aroma of sunrise
the butter
on your bread
Rise up
to toast and jam
dancing
through your mourning
for scripture says
Joy cometh in the morning
Rise up and kneel
before the King
ryes on the rise
with resurrected flowers
medallions of
daffodils, lilies and a memory stone
the heavy plank of death
rolled ‘way by chosen angels
Rise up
to a day reborn
beauty from ashes
blind eyes opened by faith
ryes on the rise
molasses-colorized
rose-colored glasses
not a lie
God cannot lie
Rise up
raise palms straight to the skies
Taste and see that the Lord is good
I’ll take a bite now
with thanksgiving
the whole loaf will last
forever and ever
opposite of
til death do you part
I will join the holy throng
as a seed planted
in eternal Spring
Rise up, y’all
meet the King of kings

A museum in Savannah -
There's some Warhol on display,
Specifically the ones about
The death of J.F.K.
A sign precedes your entry,
Warning that there is on view
A depiction so disturbing
It may not be right for you.
We were drawn like moths to fire
To the designated spot,
Where a little screen played endlessly
The film Zapruder shot.
It's been colorized and so we saw
The pink of Jackie's suit
As her husband's blood got splattered;
We just stood there staring, mute.
Through a dozen loops, we watched it
And we couldn't tear away,
Remembering how everything
Was altered on that day.
Vacations can surprise us
And this one's made me reflect
That there's always something to be found
You didn't quite expect.

A Queen went all the way ahead
an fed with her vibe all around as med;
sorrowed, for the throne was yet to be kept,
for all were starving hunger and wept;
for what once was theirs now melt.
By war and thunder their sons kinder,
fathers wept many years they left,
for origin and root yet to be felt;
a queen must pay all her dept.
Duties were called; gov's uphold,
by queen all patches were fold
and once again the nation was cold,
Queen nation.
How diligent one can hold,
a queens throne how bold;
colorized classic that i'm told.

There is a symbolic intrinsic phase
Where the fairies cover within the field
Dancing flowers, where they flutter about
Seemingly to transverse through books that yield
These are flowers of good, quite the great speak
Blooms made by hearts of joyful intercourse
Aligned by perfected colorized glow
Complacent by the now, due in their course
This green world in which we live in so filled
Brought upon us a sense of the fairies
Where we try to work with their heartfelt sighs
Our great interest comes from our diaries
Flowers of good that influences now
Powers unlike any we’ve instilled before
Feeling their infallible grace upon
That we could surely never reach much more

In '59 the world was fine.
in yellow, childlike summertime.
There was Charlton Heston, being" Ben Hur"
Fidel Castro's ferocious slur.
brand new '59 Ford Galaxies
people on trains going "North by Northwest"
a man wanting to marry a man cause" Some Like it Hot"
and wars were cold.
Killers were crazy, caught and hanged,
and the greatest hairdo was a ponytail and bang.
There was family TV, family meal and family car.
Refrigerators powered big buxom doors,
and the ice cream man cometh
the gasman, milkman and doctor.
Born were Boeing 707's, Barbie Dolls and colorized "Bonanza"
as the 60's danced on the shoulders of this golden era,
all bliss and pink paradise
visions, visions, of cat eye marbles and jacks left to keep
of snow-cones, bicycles, hula hoops
mellowing into a silver decade
no pain, no American tears
pure trust.
Until their blood
splattered on us.

The Wizard
By Rick Rucker
My life has begun anew,
For that, I must thank you!
You have colorized my Life,
That is why I want you for my Wife!
A sudden tornado blew,
When I first looked upon you!
While my existence was gray, and bland,
Colors exploded when I took your Hand!
My past was simply blown away,
My life transformed, on that very day!
The Kansas of my former life,
So sad, and full of strife,
It had permeated every part,
But mostly eaten away my Heart,
The Land inhabited by you,
So Magical, with but one thing to do,
I must ask you for a new Heart,
That would cause me to start,
To live again,
To feel the luckiest of men,
A gentle touch, a loving Kiss,
In decades, my first Bliss!
I would grow old alone, I was certain,
But not the case, due to you, the Wizard behind the curtain!
You granted me a new Heart,
And with it, wisdom you did impart,
A Heart is not meant to stay,
It does its best work when given away!
That which you gave to me,
I give back to you, with glee!
I now say, without pause,
You are The Great and Wonderful Oz!

Couplet
Glimmer so fine with colorized finesse.
Colors define, devour the minds of men.
These stones do tell nature’s bolder caress.
Colorific rainbow designs begin.
Multifaceted placement releases stress.
Bringing peaceful blessings for each ones sin,
These stones of all sizes lying at rest,
Show glorious landscape yielding its best.

The rein of an inequivalent & shattered soul
possesses my fragile being.
Intrepid I emerge.
Colorized "black" I act.
Music stained with goth.
Fingertips painted white's enemy.
I walk the inked carpet.
Let alone neutrality be my style.
So with darkness and body intertwined,
I'm the rift between,
holiness and sin.

I guess I must be well equipped
With glasses colorized by God
It seems I see Him everywhere
Instead of blocking light like Polaroids
Somehow my lenses always show He’s there
It might be simply rainbow’s beauty,
Or path that leads to safety in a storm
A song that builds on what I know
Or when the chill of winter blows
A smile that helps to keep me warm.
The armor of His Word protects us
From almost all world’s foolishness
I have to see it with my heart
And thus receive it as a gift,
And not an anchor with no part
In dreams that He would share with me.
In service is a kingdom gained
Whose value shines like Calvary
With opportunities to make Him proud
New miracles are entertained.
Oh don’t you see you’re family
Your darkest thoughts absolved by grace
A greater mystery still waits for you
For though we all are born in sin
In Christ you are His brother too.
Continued sin your only pain
Your stubborn will what hurts inside
The love you’re missing certain gain
Before you stands the open door
Where life and joy both coincide.

Chicken Chuck Chiggers chose chances of Chow
Changing curly curd curiosities that happened now
Clamping clogging cleats, classifying clones of mad cow
Colorado’s colorful colonists commanding condos of wow
Crusty cramped crullers creeping in craggy crevasses so
Crispy cartooned crestfallen consonants following below
Caroling cartons carefully consternating as catfish grow
Christmas card carolers confusing craggy-topped snow.
Confusing collars commanding colorized classification
Creating confident compact colonel’s consternation
Colliding converse comparisons in curious colorization
Commanding calendars corduroy in cellophane colonization

Alliteration
Overgrown pig watched the young woman as she descended into the pool
Those are colorized buttercups! His mind screamed.
She will never return to our world, he thought.
These thoughts were correct; she never did.
Come join me, she said, but pig was too afraid.
He had never pictured himself orange, pink or blue.
He was a die hard 1952 pig; grayscale was all he knew.
