Joan of Arc, For God and Country

Joan of Arc – For God and Country

On the feast of the Three Kings was born,
a baby girl, in 1412, under the sign of Capricorn.
Destined to accomplish great deeds and achieve fame,
Joan d’Arc was her auspicious name.
A religious and political scapegoat,
her short life to God and country she did devote.
Fervently spurred by heavenly voices,
Joan’s fate was guided by singular choices.
She avidly believed in her mystical visions,
and was obsessed to fulfill her divine mission.

Each night she prayed, “Oh God, save France,”
until at last she was granted the perfect chance.
Leaving her family and the village of Domremy,
she pursued her destiny to defeat France’s enemy.
The “Maid of Orleans” with religious fervor and zeal
took a vow of chastity and her fate was solidly seal.
During the Hundred Years’ War, she took up sword and banner;
mounted on a white horse, arrayed in a white suit of armor.
Leading the French army to a momentous victory,
her rousing battle cry was, “For God and country.”

Abandoned by King Charles the VII and betrayed in the end,
she was burnt at the stake by French collaborators and English men.
Accusing her of witchcraft, heresy, and for dressing like a man,
at age 19, her life was all over according to their devious plan.
But even though her light was snuffed out by hatred and bigotry,
her exemplary courage and strength helped to unify her country.
Joan of Arc, a simple peasant girl, became a woman warrior,
and to the world a symbol of conviction, fortitude, and true valor.
Canonized a saint by Pope Benedict XV 500 years later,
Joan was named Patron Saint of France, rape victims, prisoners, and martyrs.

Premium Member Change

Nothing is constant but change, it is said...
I hate that saying
I hate change
I hate the change of love to indifference
I hate the change that makes a lover a friend
I hate the change that makes a friend an acquaintance

I've witnessed changes...
a band of friends disbands
collaborators collide and subside
"All for one and one for all" becomes only....ONE
damage done

Change.

Not all change is bad
that much is clear to me
I've become stronger, you see
able to be
free

Still...
I hate the change that made you withhold
the greeting...grow cold
forgetting another saying,"old is gold!"
You should be told...
that in all that change
the constant
was
always~~~

A Divine Hook-Up: Loyalty, Love and Devotion When Women Worship God

Naomi and her family departed from Bethleham Judah the land of milk and honey
in the midst of a famine as they were unable to earn any money
so on to the region of Moab they ventured and prospered to some degree
until Naomi lost her husband and both sons and was left alone to grieve
to her daughters-in-law she told them both to their families they should go back
but one daughter-in-law Ruth refused to let their relationship come under attack
she told Naomi I will never leave you nor forsake you
I will stay by your side no matter what we have to go through
your people will be my people, your God will be my God
and wherever you choose to travel you and I will never part
with loyalty, love and devotion Ruth needed Naomi in her life
in order for her to develop a relationship with our Lord Christ
now worshipping God together placing their fate in His hands
for this was a divine hook-up that the Lord our God had planned

Now Naomi needed Ruth too but was too afraid to admit it
as she felt she had been forsaken by the presence of the Holy Spirit
but God was in the midst of that relationship from the very start
He had destined that Ruth and Naomi would never, ever part
for when women worship God great relationships are made in life
with loyalty, love and devotion in the name of Jesus the Christ

In the course of your life there will be people whom you need and require
to help you to be all that you can be in the way that God desires
the clarifiers in your life will help you to see what is your mission
the collaborators in your life will encourage you to come to a decision
the confronters in your life will nag you and stay in your face
while the comforters in your life if they're of God will help you find your place
then the celebrators in your life will help you to rejoice in your victory
with the spirit of love, devotion and a godly loyalty

Now Ruth went on to get remarried but kept Naomi as a member of her household
for their relationship was a divine hook-up that was under God's control
for when women worship God great relationships last an eternity
Naomi and Ruth a divine hook-up of love, devotion and loyalty

Entwine

Choral music heard from afar.
A harmonic response to an inner voice

Through the distance, I see the sunrise.
A primal cord takes life.

Knowing that this is a maze within;
is it more than I can deal with?

The story of life will soon be told.
A structure that will liberate us all;
that of mother and child entwined
cast from the empty Ash of time.

A plea for life from those long lost.
Those victims of pyroclastic flow,
which strike the heart and touch the
chord values and comforts of life;
are a new sunset.

Horizons from afar see the nightfall.
Beauty with no disguise brings smiles of sunshine.

Amazing grace life now has.
The twilight soothes.

The end of each day brings rebirth.
Renaissance transformed on Earth with unity in work.
Life interweaves to reconstruct.

We work in the fields.
Bring life from dead soil.

We gaze at the heavens and wonder what life would be like.
Would there be as much strife if we lived on a world in Orion?

A status thus formed that brings liberation to our world.
We stand amongst the saved embracing a salubrious aura!

Hollanditis

All started when Victor Kugler is at the office
And hears noise at the stairs
open the door seeing a German uniform.

The train of death in between the silence of the landscape
transporting human beings is leaving from the station.
The train of death is riding
in between the country side
carrying goods and prisoners of war
is 8 August 1944.
The train doors are close 8 people are in.
Ana looks outside the train stop.
She became 15 and got presents at the behind
house and that last page is dated 1 august 1944

The train is riding with Margot
The noise is loud in Amsterdam
The silence noise is loud in Germany,
home was Holland in 1934-1939,
and Zandvoort summertime with Mrs: Schneider
and at the Montessori school.

There is war and occupation
then the capitulations and the law
that was
each Jew most wears a star.
That’s how Ana frank and her family
Arrived in Holland
The collaborators members of the NBS the Dutch Nazi party
had in 1941 this national socialist movement 100.000 members
and 20.000 Dutch served the German army.
Against the Russian front at the oostfront
because the Nazis wanted every Jew out of Germany.

In 27 January 1945 freed by the Russian
found but 7.650 people alive
Otto frank is one of them
And almost 6 million Jews were exterminated
Under the holocaust
That means in Dutch: bran doffer, shoah (of sjoa) catastrophe, ramp
The winter of 1944/45.

Cuba 1958

Cuba 1958

I remember it like the day before yesterday Cuba 1959. Batista,
the corrupt dictator, had fled, but this was revenge time and
many of his collaborators were rounded up and shot; and what
often happen in such occasions there were onlookers cheering
and having their bloodlust satiated.

There was one man, man wearing a panama hat in his left hands,
refusing to wear a blindfold or have his hands tied behind his back.
On top of some steps he stood against a white wall, ready, but
there was a hesitation; waved his hat to the weary executioners.
A volley of fire, blood trickled down the steps, deep red, rich.

They but the body in a coffin, but there was silence, one man’s
courage had shamed onlookers and soldiers into pensive silence.
The revolution didn’t matter anymore, but human dignity did…
Is this all, does nothing change have we just ended one dictator
with another one in the name of the people.

Feminism In Palestine

I was watching a TV play; Hercules Poirot was in it, uproar in India and some British officers,
killed this caused a furore in the English press terrorists had struck again we know the British
are not racists many aristocratic Indians live in London of the type I would call traitors,
as great wealth tend to make the rich collaborators.
I was writing about the glass ceiling broken by women working in high finance, they too
are turncoats to the cause of equality the press especially the Guardian think they are admirable
but they only are nothing more than grabbing pirates in skirts.
I`m thinking of the suffering of Palestinian women their glass ceiling is protecting their children
when their job is to resist an occupying army and help their men who fight intruders to their death.
Anyway, Poirot solved that case it was about money and love
it always is perhaps we have to ban then both and Poirot can look for stray dogs

Holocaust

Holocaust

1941 Adolf Hitler became head of the Germans,
Throughout the years, this was determined.
Disliking the Jews,
he wouldn’t listen, to their views.
Nuremberg Law, was put in place
These laws, the Jewish had to face.
Rights to business, marriage and school,
Where striped away,
When they woke, they had to obey.
Forced to wear, yellow stars,
They have no honour, only scars.
Banned from public parks,
And everything normal,
Their lives were far from formal.
The sadness they held, for the loss of children
The count was enormous, 1.1 million.
Mass shootings, became an order
Carried out by Germans and Collaborators
This was total disorder.
Policy of extermination, became about,
The final resting place, without a doubt.
Camps were created,
Some for labour, but mostly death,
In the camps, they took their last breath.
Gas chambers for the Jewish, is enough
To make you bluish.
Being told to undress, thinking to be showered,
The Nazi’s felt empowered.
But when they were caught
They were nothing but cowards.
the persecution and planned slaughter
didn’t matter if you were
man, women or daughter.
It’s unimaginable, what these people felt,
Sadly, it was the life
They were dealt.

Mate

Mate

Vir and famina partners in time,
Evolving together as surf and sand.
Distinctive styles, views, merits,
They compliment each other.

Lifetime collaborators bound as one,
Enduring life's struggles and accomplishments.
Withstanding the face of difficulties and difference,
Learning, loving, together.

Recognizably exceptional as snowflakes,
Mars and Venus embrace their universe as partners.
They may not see eye to eye,
Yet walk strongly and united hand in hand.

The Russians Are Coming

The Russians are coming.

Picture this North of Norway it was early spring but still cold
but the days were longer, and the land was gripped by
the German army and their collaborators.
The Russian army came pushing the Germans south,
the German army tried the scorched earth tactic burning houses
and barns killing livestock, the people were hiding in mines.
The Russian army was seen as heroes, gave the starving people
food and shelter and the North were freed before the south.
The Russians didn’t linger which the deal was struck by
the USA and the Soviets.
After the war when the first election was held the communist
party won the north, which was understandable, but as time
went by and the atrocity of Stalin came to light people voted
for the labour party, but the sympathy of the soviets lingered.
This war is forgotten now; suddenly Russia is the enemy and NATO
troops are protecting the borders, from what?
But so is the politics of power, shifting alliances and the papers
to that should know better, is staunchly anti- Russian.

Premium Member Searching For Light

from the everlasting scrap yard of common decency

and the slaughter fields of raging battles never won

the stench of broken values rises in foul smelling loss

perfumed no doubt by the false values and belief of

glory fame power and victories of raging belligerence

for one goal or other and the wasteland of abasement

the cemetery has long been closed for overpopulation

instead landfill sites have replaced ceremonial plight

because remembering might cast a shadow of doubt

lest we forget the tragic blood shed and mutilations

foot soldiers and money lusting collaborators alike

would stand a chance of wielding humanity instead

of the overwhelming desire to kill execute and maim

dumping grounds and hazardous waste dumps have

replaced ceremonial remembrance of defeated trust

in humanity butchered on the killing fields forever more

worms devour shattered bones and vacant skulls’ remains

finish off what history buries in its toxic suffocating void

with only a few widows gazing at weeds and wilting poppies

orphans of wealth scramble at the surface and gather tears

that slide like slime and splattered brains down to their hearts

draped in rags the hungry vagrants have lost their appetite

while the grim reaper belches in flatulent satisfied reward

they tie a white flag so innocent that it remains invisible

chant a cacophonous melody as they inhale a final whiff

their loved ones died in vain and are unwilling to applaud

their henchmen and woman who cast their sword for death

and vitriol of marching onwards until ultimate surrender

but in tune to their own souls and deeply rooted disgust

they dig up the remains of sacrificed friends and former foes

gather in candlelight vigils and refuse to not fight for light
