Best Coated Poems
I saw the world different today as I looked through your eyes.
How differently we perceive things as you sugar-coat your lies.
Your vision was filled with adventure as that's how you like to roll.
Never stopping to consider about the hearts that you stole.
You see women as an object and you charm them to the core.
Knowing all too well your intentions leave alot to answer for!
But just remember one thing, one day you'll be old and alone.
And all the hearts you burnt will have found a love thats grown.
Your looks will have faded and your charm has worn away.
And who wants a lonely old man who's never one to stay?
You've heard the word companion and I'm sure you know the depth.
That friendship has certain boundaries and is more than just Sex.
Honesty and loyalty are qualities to admire.
You'll always be remembered as unloyal and a liar.
I know I'm far from perfect and I have my faults too.
But I'll never be branded a liar and I'm loyal, unlike you!

A caramel coated promise on a wisened old man's couch. Living in a sugar coated world
falling into an oblivious mass of thinness and frailty. Not yet strong--Tough, no; shy, not
either. Strength and endurance as rocky as the West coast wearing petticoats, ringing bells
of flurious yesterdays into tomorrows hopes and dreams recalled. Billowy, flowery tulips ring
true to the caramel coated promises. Never too rich or skinny. A waist an inch deep and
widely thickened cream of poppy icecream screams smear me thin and shed the self as on
onion into a glorious stick adorning a caramel coated apple. A promise to myself and not you-
- as my eyes are wide deep! Aspartame filled rats, cancer ridden corpses frozen into stark
reality. Stark nakedness tells no lies and makes bigger eyes!

Candy Coated Memories
Remembering the days of old
and standing there in line.
Watching all the people pass
holding your hand in mine.
Bell bottom jeans and flared out sleeves
when what far out meant was groovy.
M&Ms and popcorn
while we're watching some old movie.
Stealing kisses in the dark
being watched by unseen faces.
Praying that my upper lip
don't get stuck inside your braces.
Fountain pops and lemon drops
you just let me go so far.
Intermission was a good invention
it's time for a Hersey bar.
I'm just a guy they just roll by
I'm not picking up your hints.
Trying to win you over
With life savers and thin mints.
Movies almost over
I can't bring myself to beg.
Wanting more I'll settle for
just one hand on your leg.
Off to get some ice cream
and a piece of homemade pie.
Spending every dime I got
for the apple of my eye.

I thought I was complex...
Multifaceted, divinely complicated
But I was very, very mistaken
You read me like I was playing cards with my hand tattooed on my cheeks
I fell for your charm, your depth...
your candy-coated sediment
Fortunately you fell a bit short of your goal of destroying me
Luckily you hated yourself more than you hated me
I drove by your place today
Definitely tempted to kick that polished new headstone...
However I have on a great new pair of shoes and refuse to get them soiled by your candy-coated sediment

Why is it that we always try
To candy coat the truth.
We treat our congregations like
Impressionable youth.
We let them think they do enough
In following their goal,
By tending to their own affairs,
And saving their own soul.
But anyone can save themselves,
For if such deeds sufficed,
A lighter path would have been walked,
By those who followed Christ.
Prophets would not share prophesies,
No saints would risk their lives.
Paul would have told the faithful few
To go home to their wives.
But that was not the road they walked,
They shared God's truth, and grace.
They did not build THEMSELVES a church,
Nor tarry in one place.
They were as free upon the earth
As animals and birds.
They roamed the world, in search of souls
Who wished to hear their words.
They didn't candy coat the truth,
Or promise salvation,
In order to inspire the crowd
To make a donation.
For the truth had made them wealthy,
Their spirits full of light.
While the world saw only beggars,
They were rich in God's sight.
They did all that was asked of them,
They carried our Lord's flame.
And if this task was asked of you,
Could you have done the same?
That question was rhetorical,
We both know you could not.
You'd have to give up everything...
Your life, and all you've got.
It's easy using empty words,
To boast of things we'd do.
IF one day the Lord should choose
To chart this course for you.
But if we do not have such faith,
Would Jesus even ask,
If He knew it would prevent us
From completing the task?
The truth is...we don't do enough,
To walk the righteous path.
We think our ways will lead to grace,
When they might lead to wrath.
Put your candy coated Jesus,
And pretenses away.
If you don't face the truth right now,
You will...on Judgment Day.

You’re a liar and a cheat
Just like a dog on heat
You lurk behind a cobweb thin disguise
and try so hard to fool the guys
But I’ve seen the way you try play the field
You’ve tried your best to manipulate me
Listen up honey, I’m not blind I clearly see
But I’ve got used to your patronising ways
I won’t take any more of your crap
I’m gonna start to answer back!
You’re a liar and a cheat
Just like a dog on heat
You lurk behind a cobweb thin disguise
and try so hard to fool the guys
But I’ve seen the way you try play the field
You tried to treat me like a fool
Broke many hearts, broke every rule
But sugar you can no longer deceive me
I’ve got my eye on you and note everything you do
Hope I’ve got that message clearly through to you
You’re a liar and a cheat
Just like a dog on heat
You lurk behind a thin disguise
and try so hard to fool the guys
But I’ve seen the way you try play the field
If you continue on this way and all the petty games you play
In time the truth about you is gonna be revealed!

Lyric
Spearmint grass and cotton candy trees
Banana palms and coconut breeze
Fiery cinnamonworks to glisten the skies
Apple turnovers and cherry-filled pies
Tiny teacup cookies with sugar plates
Sweet cranberry sauce and jellied dates
Chocolate clouds with a banana-split sun
Delicate roses taste like raspberry gum
Juicy sweet treats in a world of fun
Stretching as far and as wide as I can run
Hershey-kissed mountaintops with milk-dud dirt
Blistering vanilla-frosting fog dances by my skirt
Cherry-flavored rocks made from candy too
Every color of our rainbow --- purple, pink, and blue
White-chocolate doves fly hollow in the sky
More candy here than anyone can buy

My words in sonnets, haiku, or "fences"
Only for you my endearing true love
Worry about voice, rhymes, and tenses
Only for you my prettiest pet dove
Carefully I slip each word on your string
Meaningfully picked and perfectly placed
To split your heart open and hear you sing
Sweet, sultry nothings from bosom unlaced
Light in your eyes dispels all my darkness
From your lips honey slips, drips, and oozes
Coats my sorrow and swallows my starkest
Hardest lumps, and my ugliest bruises
I'll write you a sonnet, a song, or haiku
My wild words, I tame only for you ;)

Sonnet
A lot of people are still
Sugar coated on the outside
People think they are so sweet
They hardly ever seen 'em cry
They hide their emotions inside
Broken hearted, lonely and hurt
Feel inside they have died
Nobody knows how they truly feel
They wander aimlessly through life
Giving up all hope for themselves
Never able to see the light ahead
At the very end of the tunnel
They cry out many times for help
Yet people never had seen the signs
Depression is a terrible illness
So many people in the world have
They feel ashamed because of it
Become loners, hide from the world
Feel abandoned at times
If only people knew how depression kills

Paperless dolls and run-less runs –
Roller coaster rides and fun-less fun.
Hopscotch and blisters; banana-seat bikes –
Hand games and shout-backs too.
Quiet-less walks at 3:00 in the morn –
Virtual stranger rides with indecency.
Cracker-jacks and white wine spritzers –
Early morning-midnight bizarre.
Hellish targets for our holy aims –
Lipsticks red and perfumes sweet.
Mustard corndogs with licorice malt –
Chocolate mustache with milk beards.
Sunstroke and fallacy whipping tales –
Tongue-tied talk and all the such.
Hair-unwoven nightmares & bobby pins –
Lurid washed-out make-up; oh the horror.
Candy-less sugar pops dressed in green –
Wrappers prettied up in dazzling clash.
Malt whiskey and bourbon please –
Ante up for your hill-less ride.

Chocolate-coated memories of my morning meal
fill my bowl to the top. I could get not get enough
of the sweetest children's breakfast cereal.
I was more than crazy for my delicious "puffs".
My mother will confirm my cocoa obsession.
I dug in only after the milk turned chocolaty.
Yes, two boxes were always in my possession.
How ever did I escape childhood obesity?

don't believe anything you hear...best beware and stay bold
everything that glitters is not gold
a smiling face can hide a heart of stone
singing the venomous verse...driving the hell bound herse
poison lookin pure...candy coated curse
don't drink the kool-aid just because it sparkles in the glass
wanna be first but better off last
wild wolf wearing the lambs mask...grinning at the terrible task
sheep line up around the world and volunteer for the slaughter
taking their turn with the devils daughters...they laugh as lives lapse
pollution lookin like the cleanest cure....candy coated curse
shining like the moon but it's still not silver...calling false gods but they can't deliver
the quiet they quiver and shake in silence
infected and insane by a virus called violence
devour the truth and defecate lies... twisted tales and angry alibis
choke and cough as the perilous pestilence destroys the worst...candy coated curse
infiltration of a nation comes with secrets and whispers not storms and whirlwinds
believers stay ready while lost ones stay wrecked
searching for a savior in blasphemy battlefields
real ones turned into robots with a mission to bring the masses to perdition
the sweet turns sour as the ticking clocks stop...candy coated curse
