The clockwork has rusted 
Into a stiff modern art statue,
Painted by nature, loathed by the
Masses, and loved by the few.
The gears scream in a failed revival;
The hands quiver, stuck on four and nine.
The Roman numerals no longer
Glister in the night; the bell tolls not.

Set up the hour glass to slowly time us

Put it on its side and make it endless 

Shake it up to add some minutes

Break the hour glass on the floor

Hear it shatter against the door

Watch the time fly out the window

Hear the grandfather clock start...

We set off at daylight, meandering toward clock tower bridge.
Fog made the day seem dreamier than it was, for sure.
Silver hot air balloons helped light our way, as it was not light.
