I live in a quiet country village now but as a child I grew up as part of a mining community .
This is my tribute to those wonderful people.

Cobbled streets covered in grime

cocks crowing cooing

church bell rings, sermon calling
mamas caring, little ones on them
and we running along
to meet the master's call

church bell rings!, choirs chanting
heavenly blues of hallelujah sings
preacher's...

The
church bell
rang with deep love
on the day that we wed.
But, in dreams it is a "hammer"
too loud- ringing and ringing endlessly. 
I kiss stone as church bells weep of
vanished
love.
