This magical fairy who paints my dreams
Has blushed my fantasy in subtle hints
That kissed dreamy night on the thrills of fall--
An amber delight on the hills hued brown

I have known her long since blossoms of spring
When grass was green in the lilting prairies
And scent of my garden perfumed soft winds
While butterflies roamed in search of honey

Upon summer's zeal she shimmied with breeze
And teased my musings in rustles of trees
As echoes of love waltzed on humid air
And sailed with me on tides of blue ocean

I see her charm now as leaves turn crimson
When desires of passions our moods invoke
And moon’s shadows on rushing water float
In waves of romance where blue river flows

She waits for me beneath twinkles of stars
Where scarlet vistas blaze autumn’s canvas
And holds me closely in rhythms of her heart
As pulses soon dance to nightingale’s song

But, just when it's time to satiate dreams
Alas! she leaves spanning mystical wings
Though this quest chased passions illusory
Cherish I'll, always, daydreams she lent me

Misleading, minacious maze now thwarted,
eschews stealth as sandal-clad steps resound.
Determined and dour, destiny draws near;
completing this quest: forever renowned.

Stygian sky grants a much-welcomed boon:
conformable clouds cast curtain aside.
A radiant pearl suspended aloft,
reveals route to where foul fiend does reside.

Mouthing prayers to a personal angel;
supplication: salient and silent.
Head held high, eyes fixed firmly on heaven;
bless these dark deeds, bloody and violent.

Sharpened silvern sword raised proudly aloft;
unblemished blade mirrors midnight’s moon-light.
Utters an oath sworn at parents’ graveside;
tonight sees the zenith of a birthright.

Shrieks fill the air, inhuman and hungry;
hero’s hammering heart reaches its peak.
Fear is just fleeting, for foe has arrived;
savage beast attacks with claw and with beak.

Garden’s guardian inflicts ghastly gash;
‘tis nary a scratch for warrior’s might.
Unyielding weapon wielded with such flair
finally - fatally - settles the fight.

Chimera confronted, cowed and conquered;
tales of this victory regaled forthwith.
A marble mosaic marvel beckons
and once-true events pass straight into myth.

An apology for any students (or masters) of classical mythology. I’ve used a fair bit of poetic licence with the events leading to the death of the Chimera... but I was raised on a diet of Ray Harryhausen and this was my homage to his creature features!

orange-caramel color

cherry like candy
lifts from the golden liquid
left hand round the waist, hold hands
with the handle, lip
pressed to the rim, intimate
serendipitous-savor
the flavor of rose
petals and hips, cinnamon
apple, almond and cherry
sipping oolong slow
over lips and tongue, twining
in chimera happiness

Premium Member The Chimera Parody

In the realms of novelty and man's intrigue,
A chimera emerged, a contradiction unique.
With the head and breast of a lion's might,
and a serpent's tail that slithers—a fearsome sight.

Oh, how the chimera did pickle the mind,
With its fickle nature, a paradox is unkind.
A parody of existence, a void it did fulfill,
Buzzing with uncertainty, a rush of thrill

In this embodiment of my lifestyle choice,
I sought to unravel the chimera voice.
For within its essence, a secret did hide,
One body, two creatures, a sorcery untied

I turned to chiromancy, reading palms with care.
Seeking answers in the lines of fate laid bare.
But the chimera secrets eluded my touch.
For its destiny was not written in such

I delved into cartomancy, the art of the cards.
Hoping to find answers and break through the guards.
But the chimera destiny remained concealed.
In the deck of cards, the truth was not revealed.

I ventured into the realm of necromancy.
Summoning spirits to unlock the chimera fancy
But the spirits remained silent.
Their insight couldn't pierce the chimera strident.

In Greek mythology, it was said to be a beast.
But this chimera nature remained a feast.
A contradiction of life, a paradox untamed
The chimera parody, forever unclaimed

In the depths of its being, it defied all norms.
A creature of paradox, with its own forms.
A chimera, they called it, a myth brought to life,
A contradiction that challenged the realms of strife.

O, the chimera parody, a puzzle untold,
Its novelty is captivating, a story to behold.
A creature of contradiction, defying all odds,
In the depths of its being—a power that nods

Man's fascination with this enigmatic creature
The chimera legacy is a symbol of nature.
For in its existence, we find ourselves reflected,
In its contradictions, our truths are detected.

There are fish I have never even heard tell of, until I started watching a nature show about the deep ocean.

Chimera World-'Midnight Moon'

Midnight Moon

You are the acquiescent angel of my humble heart
A megalithic mosaic gladiolus garden of amalgamate art
Oh midnight moon you illuminate my glittering gaze
Thru clustered clouds and within the Minotaur maze
My gregarious guardian of heaven, of thee I praise.

Premium Member Chimera World - If You Could See As I

If you could see as I in midnight’s hue,
On moon-lit strolls beneath mosaic lace,
And held my hand once more where angels flew
When time was marked by Heaven’s lilac grace;
And if you viewed the garden robins tilled,
Where blossoms bloomed with life to hear their song,
And grew enriched by mist from clouds that spilled
As notes of joyful rain all season long;
And if you climbed the tree of Summer’s bliss -
Freed from guardian maze entangled vines
That now entrap the heart of love’s first kiss -
And then you peered the stars in search of signs:
   You’d find aglow what always makes me cry;
    You’d see your self-reflection’s lullaby.

And for my sweet meditation- I am listening to Vilvaldi,
the four seasons concerto, wild and quite dreamy;
and I am soon lost in a daydream of flowing creeks,
     singing birds, whimsy and fantasy illusion.
     A mosaic, a tapestry, a fresco,
     and I am walking this entangled maze;
     a labyrinth of green lush vinery,
                                the moon my illumination.
        A spirit guardian leads,
           me to a garden;
a place of posy, wild flowers, a paradise, a dreamland,
and a little cherub angel child welcomes me to rest.
It is like Heaven here in this Shangri-La land,
                                yet my innermost heart weeps;
        midnight ink black tears,
           for I know this child.
Oh, horrible the memories that wrap me in darkness now,
it is my sister love, lost to death in the web of time;
clouds gather dark, hazy and misty and Vilvaldi plays,
                                 his rhythmic, harmonious violin.

Chimera

The chimera of
yours, the only unextinct
creature in your bleak

bestiary; that's
what I really am:
formed from one-half love

and one-half throe by
you. But I recognized my
borders by learning

your limits for I
wish to forge my own path out
from your false mythology.

Chimera

tell me how to stop
missing something
that never really existed

how to get over
the loss of something
only I could see

show me that he's broken
and my love can't
fix him

teach me how to forget

That Beautiful Chimera Cat

One day on the internet,
I searched up usual cats,
Boy the first cat made me fret,
And I exclaimed in my flat,
'That's not the thing that usually sits on mats',
'Thats not the thing that takes naps on laps!',
'And thats not the thing that hunts rats!',
What I saw was a Chimera cat,
Black and calico there it sat,
But *sign* sadly it's not fat,

There it is probbing my soul,
My fingers rigid I cannot scroll,
Its inside me, thats all I know,
I will take a hundred blows,
To be in front of it and go 'whoa!'

This is dedicated to Venus th cat :3 Search it up and gap.
And hello! I am new here :3 This is my first poem and my introduction
I love cats! =^._.^= -Meow~

The mirror’s morphed me   SEE

I mimed__ the black- button eyes
sewn on it seems, as if in a dream
  A dream of the acid kind__

  Belay! That plank _ me pirate peers
A straight-line saunter, your prisoner cannot muster.
Just send me to a new crew-cut, seer
who will remold this immortal blunder.

Neither man nor beast am I_ I’m a chimera

Premium Member We Are Many Faceted Chimera

A bejeweled chimera stalks
dreamtime woodlands,
a creature conjured by archetype
 who lives in the onyx waters of the unconscious.

Turquoise and white in feathered splendor,
chimera understands the human condition;
breeds within her own offspring
allowing mortals to overcome challenges,
for it is in her realm that
we recognize our true selves.

Jewels of spirit
in a material realm,
birthed from a cosmic mind
into physical reality;
chimeras, we.

Sometimes dreams come true
And sometimes plans fall through
You can’t always tell just when it will become
A reality that is like a huge breakthrough
Like the answer to a prayer is the outcome

Sometimes fantasies become reality
Still, there is never any guarantee
You don’t always know what to believe
But hope that the wish is going to foresee
The opportunity of a dream to unweave

Sometimes dreams happen as they should
Coming to life like only a great vision could
Enlightening and encouraging, giving great security
To the one who listens to their heart’s good
And finds their hopes brought to sweet maturity

Sometimes a fantasy is left to prayers
Petitions for a moment of grace with cares
For hope, faith and love that is alive
Breathing inspiration to the one who shares
A part of their dreams that will thrive

Sometimes dreams whisper through a life
Cutting away all worry and strife
With a feeling of joy that ignites a fire
Of happiness and motivation that is like a wife
Who loves beyond what marriage might require
