The Chatty Chair

.
U-umph, Oof-fa ha!.... There, comfy now?
Hey, would you pick up your tush,
reach in here and pick up your wife's locket?
It's down here under my cush,
and please get that screw driver outa your pocket?
That's good for me, yes much better.
Is it good for you too?
Yes, now go ahead and read your letter.
Hey, you remember when you and your wife,
saved me at that Auction in Aspen?
Talk about stress and strife !
I sure was a mess back then.
One last chance,
and I was headed for the rubbish bin.
The Auctioneer grabbed my arm,
And hollered out, "who'll bid it at a sixty?"
I remember being on stage watching you,
then it was "fifty five or bidit ata fifty -now fifty",
You didn't bid ; ..I thought I was through.
No one interested and he was droppin' fast!
"Biddit ata fortyforty thirtyfi-five bidit atta thirty two!"
"Bidda wudda gimme good chair, just alil bit dirty"
I was so nervous ; you just stared at your shoe!
"Lookin big bidder cudda cudda bidder thirty!"
Biddit abub bidja bidja bud, gimme gimme bouta fifteen on "er
well right then I Frayed My Hem! And thought I was a Goner!
"Wudja wudja cudda cudja gimme gimme biddit at about ten?"
That's when you looked up high and I saw the gleam in your eye.
I shifted my skirting, straightened my back and looked real bold,
You caught his eye, nodded your head and he hollered "SOLD!"
Well I rocked back easy and you went in to pay the man,
loaded me up and brought me home in your old van.
Y'all cleaned me up and gave me a nice shampoo,
and set me just so in your cozy library den.
You know..I'm really comfortable with you two.
I Have been since that auction in Aspen.
Hey! You dropped some popcorn in my... Oh ..never mind..,
Ahh..the memories..it's all good..it's all just FINE.

Chatty Kathy

This trait I hate!
This "Chatty Kathy" fate
I'm so Chatty Kathy today

My dignity, My grace
blows up in my face
whenever I'm talkin' this way

I'm never demure
(I'm not even sure
how I'd even BE that if I could)

So like it or not
I'm talkin' alot
maybe a lot more than I should.

Be careful with me
don't invite me for tea
If you do here's a simple heads up

Make sure you don't brew
"Constant Comment" for two
If you truly want me to 'shut up’.

A Chatty Cabbage

Gone in the sty with a carriage frown, gone to the sty with a cabbage crown. Don't climb down the elevator go up the escalator. And mind your head on the wiry mixture above for conglomerations of conga eel cables can twist and turn at a huge rate so always keep head in a hat, a colander or a pair of socks wrapped around then tied in a bow. But a plaited and pleated plant can be used as a fine carousel and carousals are neither carefully caressing creatures nor are they creme de brule. It is the mild wind that breezes in through a window and sits down to a plate of fine dining. And it is the chef in the checkered hat that deliver a bath tub filled with calamari to a seafood supper. Ok then. Great. Now lets go sit immediately on the picnic rug. Ha x z and developmental z

Premium Member Chatty Raccoon Crashes Party

A chatty raccoon in a plaid racing cap
Crashed our party with a lighting zap.
Showed our guests a brand new computer app.
An intelligent creature, quite a lovely chap.

Some partygoers danced on his fluffy lap.
Landing hard on the floor, a hearty whap.
If they annoy you, I said, give ‘em a slap.
This advice caused him to laugh and flap.

He spoke of an enormously keen treasure map.
One of the guests looked and said it was crap.
Another said don’t be a crazy old sap.
A third one began to speak of her disgusting pap.

Chatty raccoon’s head was held on by a strap.
Did not untie it for it was a conspiracy trap.
He began to boogie with a whistle and clap.
Loved this party-going raccoon who never did nap.

Unexpected Or Unwanted

Unexpected or Unwanted

There arrival were always unexpected
With a string of curses never too far behind,
From the host, feeling particularly dejected,
Yet who’s always been able to have them wined,
And out the door without feeling affected.

With all that said they were quite kind,
Just chatty,
Simply put, they said anything in their mind,
Even so, they were never ratty,
But sometimes they were quite opined.

There visits were always quick,
They came, they laughed, they left,
And when they finally left it appeared to some as a trick,
Yet, alas, they were not that deft,
For something quite so sick.

The conversations were always filled with the same useless chatter,
Filled with their bottomless fake promises,
Where they reminisced on the days that we’re better,
Without ever asking themselves what that accomplishes,
And before you’re able to say see you next time they scatter.
