Unquotable quotes - XII

Unquotable quotes – XII

To catch a monkey, you need a young coconut with three holes for eyes ; bore a hole in one and wait : the monkey will thrust its hand in to grab a mouthful and will not let go come what may.
To catch a false monk, you need an orphan.
To catch a thief, you need either a camera or a cobra.
To catch a bluffer, you need to make him believe ya.
To catch a fly, you need a spider with a parlour.
To catch a poisonous snake, you need a retracting loup on a long ten-foot pole.
To catch a giant, you need a sling with a stone.
To catch a Pharoah, you need his sister with a hisser.
To catch a priest, you need the advice of his Chief Geist.
To catch a stool-pigeon, you need another stool-pigeon.
To catch a plane, you need a valid ticket.
To take a train, you need a ticket-puncher.
To board a ship, you need to rise with the tide.
To catch the woman next-door, you need to wait until the paramour goes out the back-door.
To catch a ripe durian, you need to have a hard or an empty head.
To capture a girl in a burqa, all you need is another burqa.
To capture a rat in a hole, all you need is a secret service mole.
To capture a pirate ship in a canal, all you need to do is to lower the water-level.
To catch a polar bear and her cubs, all you need to do is to raise the level of your exhaust fumes.
To catch a lark on a bark, all you need to do is to click your camera.
To catch the sun in the morn, all you need to do is to sleep with your window open.
To catch cold, all you need to do is to stand stark naked bold.
To catch forty winks, you need to be full of drinks.
To get on peoples’ nerves, you need to step on their toes.
To catch the pox, you need to meet a certain lady who lounges around the docks.
To come to grief, all you need to do is to rob Fort Knox.

First Night Misery Chapter Five

I lay awake most of the night,
Although, I wasn't in too much pain,
Even though I tried to doze off,
I couldn't switch off my brain.
My hubby was extremely vocal,
Every time he moved around,
He was rather fidgety,
He made one or two gruff sounds.
My dog was restless,
I think it's because I moved his bed,
I did it to make more room for me,
So over it, I don't have to tread.
I had to get up once or twice,
Or maybe it could have been three,
It's a good job my crutches were close by,
For the many times, I needed to pee.
I finally got up at five thirty,
I struggled down the stairs,
I made myself a brew,
What a sad state of affairs.
I put my feet up on the sofa,
From upstairs, I could hear my dog snore,
I've hardly slept at all,
I'm surprised I haven't swore.
No doubt I'll catch forty winks later,
After my meds and physio,
Today, I will rest up,
Maybe back to bed, I'll go.

When You're Rested

Have a little time for yourself
Yes just a little time for yourself
Take that book down from off the shelf
Read a while have some time for yourself

Take a break in your day for a rest
Yes just an hour for a little bit of rest
Lay on the couch put your feet up it’s the best
Lay right back and have a little rest

Have a nap in your day if you can
Power naps are good for woman and for man
Take yourself up to the bed if you feel wan
Have a nap catch forty winks if you can

When you’re rested you will feel really great
Yeah your body and your mind will feel great
When you just chill out this is your fate
To end up feeling really, really great

Then the rest of the day will be a breeze
Oh the rest of the day will be a breeze
All you’re chores will be done with the greatest ease
If you take the time yourself to only please
