How still is our stillness, hermit
Is our awareness unbroken
Which dormant desires yet orbit
Leaving pristine silence shaken
Mindful eye observes quietude
How still is our stillness, hermit
Steely focus and fortitude
Propels us towards the summit
Judging neither fault nor merit
Ceasing to size, we vaporise

leaves heart incomplete, staring at defeat,
signalling cravings should be left behind,
that going in we may feel God’s heartbeat,
imbibing bliss mists which do not deplete.
With bliss attained and heaven in our sight,
we drop this realm too, to transform as light....
