The Burning Bush

“The Burning Bush”

At the Burning Bush
the dance cards
were passed
from palm to palm
the flowers plucked
from the wall by green
lounge lizards grinning
“music saved my life”, she said
“poetic”, the Comme des Garçons
like a boy on roller skates said
circling like a shark with
two in hand for what it’s worth
the Burning Bush girl remonstrates
she understands,
“Tango Down?
That’s not a question.
Now.” she demands
“It’s a right Charlie Foxtrot,”
he says skating backwards,
“Look at all that Chest Candy,
it’s enough to make you
want to put on your
Jesus Slippers.” Front on
she bats her eyes, like
its a home run, she replies,
“It’s a real Soup Sandwich
out there Oscar Tango Mike
the Alpha Charlie Ate-up Bravo Zulu
deploy your Sky Blossom,”
she says, back to the wall,
“Tango Uniform
Delta,
Tango Down
Charlie Mike
Oscar Mike
Kaos captive,
Agt 99, H.Q.
holding Control
down”

Burning Bush

Trapped beneath the burning bush
The crackling of the fire.... /whoosh
The flames engolf all that is round you both.
I cannot reach/ I cannot get to you two/I have broken my oath
I promised no harm to ever come your way/ my vow was broken on that day.
I pledged to protect them at any cost/ on this day all was lost.
I heard their cries/ begging for assistance.
I could do nothing/ no matter my persistence.
I stood as though frozen in time/ our lives flashing before my eyes.
Every word/every memory/ all fell in line.
I could not cry/ disbelief.
Their lives extinguished/ taken by a thief.
I awoke/ a dream?
What did all this mean?
My husband was at gym/son still asleep.
Overactive imagination/ caused such a terrible sensation.
They live/ they breathe
The fire/ not real/ relief.

Behind the Burning Bush

Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live
As God blessed them all with love to give
Allow them a voice
And men lose free choice
And no one wants that alternative!

The Burning Bush

Should I leave here
Should I go there
Will they like me
Will I like them
Will I manage
Will I persevere
What if I fail them
What if they fail me
Would they welcome me
Would I be judged
Would I be secluded
Would I be loved

What about my comfort zone
What about my safety blanket
What about my abilities and know how
What would this new risk cost me
Would I still wish
Would my dreams change
Is this the right decision
What about the short term
What about the long term
Do I even have goals?
Why now?

A Burning Bush Moment

Everyone truly has a burning bush moment. A moment when they are faced with a question. "Will you serve God alone, or will you serve Satan?" For without a full surrender you can do nothing wholly. Without a full surrender you might as well go back to the starting block and begin again. It is at the time of full surrender that our journey becomes easier. The weight of the world is removed and our burdens are shouldered by our Shepherd. So the next time you are faced with a golden opportunity to serve the Lord, lay your earthly burdens at his feet and pick up your cross. He is the joy in the journey.

Burning Bush

You stood up
Through the Battle
You burned
To prove a point
You are the Burning Bush

Moses saw you
God spoke to you
The Israelites passed you
You surpassed the greatest
You are the Burning Bush

Critical power
Let you Endower
The greatest pain
Of the hottest Flame
You are the Burning Bush

The Burning Bush

We may know what’s right and still do wrong
Greed and envy run our inner world
Like a crazed drunk bee we like to sting

Even as the blackbird is in song
The darkness of the heart will on it fall
We may know what’s right and still do wrong

We love to think we are the Queen or King
Perfect in our power , oh iron the walls
Yet crazed drunk bees can float on high to sting

The hurt inside the heart can last too long
The self retreats , the matador has failed
We know the end , the bull will kill the throng

When God came down , our spies soon had him nailed
The burning bush , the little voice, the tales.
We may know what’s right and do the wrong
Take pleasure in our violence, kill and sting

Premium Member Burning Bush Talks To Us-

Oh burning bush, talk to me
Ignite in me
What you want of me
So I may achieve glory and your liberty
Forever
and
Ever
I want to be eternally with you
In
Heaven
Thank you Father
For just being
DAD
Eternal flames burning in my heart
As my shoe-less feet walk on your grounds
with raised hand I lift your Name
Glory, Father
Your bush burns on
Thank you Father for talking through the fire
Ignite in me
What you want of me
So I may achieve glory and your liberty
Forever
and
Ever
I want to be eternally with you
In
Heaven
Thank you Father
For just being
DAD

While tending his flocks at the mountain of God,
There, Moses encountered a circumstance odd.

A bush was on fire, or so he presumed,
But nary a branch of it: charred or consumed.

This caught his attention; he turned there to gawk,
When all of a sudden, it started to talk!

God called out to Moses as Moses drew near;
He said, “Moses, Moses!” Replied, “I am here!”

God said, “Do not draw near to where I am found,
And take off your sandals; you’re on holy ground.

The God of your father and Abraham, too,
And Isaac’s and Jacob’s God; all these I knew.”

Then Moses, this shepherd, then leaned on his crook.
He buried his face; he was too scared to look.

“My people’s afflictions have come to my eyes;
I know of their sufferings; I’ve heard their cries.

I’ve come to deliver them from Egypt’s hand
And bring them up out to a broad and good land

Where honey and milk flow, a wonderful site;
There’s just this small issue of all of those ‘ites.

Moses, I’ve heard all their cries and their pleas,
And you're my selection to help set them free.”

Then Moses balked big, said, “LORD, I’m not equipped
To lead Israel from the land of Egypt.”

“I will be with you, Mo; here is your sign;
You’ll all worship me on this mountain of mine.”

“When I go to the children of Israel,
What name do I tell them? Who sent me? Do tell.”

“Say, ‘the God of your fathers, of Abraham,
Of Isaac, of Jacob: I AM WHO I AM.’

Just go, they will listen, for you are my voice,
And Egypt as well, for they don’t have a choice.

When push comes to shove and I stretch out my hand,
They’ll give gold and silver, so you’ll leave their land.”

Love's Embrace

Love came to me like a warm fire
Hugging me in a cold wintry night
As a burning bush you engulfed me
In your flames of desire
A little delay till our souls met
Never caused any harm
It was God's miracle
That brought us together in this cosmic bond
But it takes time to embrace the pain
Of not having you near
And loving you wholeheartedly strong.

The Burning Bush

the burning bush
who murdered justice
I know is not us
yet we are involved
our silence to brutality
is the prove
the look away eyes
is the evidence
we all are scared
scared to lose
what we already lost
what a fear
this fear keeps the brave
in cage
were he always lights up
the burning bush

the burning bush
who murdered humanity
they said is us
they blame our shadows
despite their reflection
keeps the bush burning
alive on our fingers
lighting up the bush
day and night
cos we need to be feel free
for a while
every were the bush keep burning
in the east is burning
in the west is burning
in the south is burning
in the north is burning
all over the world
they always lights up
the burning bush

the burning bush
who murdered the braves
who destroys our dignity
is not strange that
they are not strangers
any longer
they are our very own
their affliction are our bitterness
they got no soul
our crys are their power
no wonder they curse
confusion on our hands
full of lighters
when we light up
the burning bush
when we need to feel free
for a while
when we need the
sight of God
we have no other violence
no other crime except lighting up
the burning bush

the burning bush
who murdered the herb
i swear they are out their
they live in their high mansion
yes they can never go low
like us
they said we are criminals
cos only criminals could
light up the burning bush
arrest them jail them
that is the order from
above
from those that murdered
humanity
those that murdered our rights
those that murdered justice
they are now in chase of
the burning bush
they dont want us
to lights up the trees of life
no wonder freedom is a
calamity to them
especially when we light up
the burning bush

Winged Burning Bush

Ridged, broad and corky wings.
Translucent—your yellow
Iris sits behind the morning veil.

Short season of striking
color. Greed spurs you, or hope
Huddled against the bursting

Of a cursed idea. It will
Spread like children, carried
By the breeze that tickles

Your lobed capsules. They catch
Like sails. You would unfurl and fly
Instead, dragging your webbed feet

In the face of becoming, pallid
Bolts of cloth ensconce you. A virgin
Steadfast and shaking checks the hem

For stains on her
pure white
wedding dress.

LISTENING TO THE BURNING BUSH

I've been to many mountains'
Laid down in many valleys
Drinking the sin out my personal fountain
Now I am suffering badly

I stand here in awe
Listening at the wind
When I should be listening to the burning
       the burning bush

I've eaten my pride
Tasted like rancid pie
I died in the flesh
Nothing left should have listen to the Lord Jesus Christ
And not the devil or myself

I stand here in awe
Listening at the wind
When I should be listening to the burning
       the burning bush
