Sharp piercing pains
rendered me breathless
I double over,
crouching low like a panther.
Fire, searing fiery fire
leaped at my sides,
licking my backside.
I groan and writhe,
growl and curse!
only the ticking clock
dares to surpass my loud moans.
Sweat trickles down my backside,
flowing down, forming rivulets as
they meet and scamper downwards.
Another tormenting wrench!
This time a wounded lion’s roar echoes.
And so it went on—
Doctors and nurses
mumbled words meaningless
in the face of my helplessness!
I was gripped in the throes of labour pains;
my body betraying me
as it struggled to give life to another.
Seconds, minutes, hours ticked away.
and finally at the eleventh hour,
my energy spent,
my body bushed,
she burst through--
piercing the birthroom with a keening protest!
I lay down my head,
too exhausted to even offer her
a proper welcome
but a weary smile.

What is Today
Shall be History tomorrow
All that comes
Shall ultimately Go.
Who was born
When was born
Where was born
What he did
How he did
When did he do
Where did he do
All shall be recorded
In books of history
Historians some
Could be contemporary
And many shall write
Later on.
One will write
Some have'nt written
Before
Others will rest their accounts
On past tellers
Value adding it
Some will say
Milton was blind
Others will say
He was only myopic!
Many agree
Shakespear was British
Yet a few still doubt
He was an Arab Sheikh!
Some will pen down
Horrors of War,
Rule by Kings and Queens,
Tyrants, Dictators, Sultans
And Saints and Prophets,
The stories of their Rise and Fall
But them never having seen 'em all themselves
But they will insist
Such and such never happened
Or
If happened but not that way
The way of the other Historians
History, some say
Is a Bundle of Lies
But I will say
History is a turning Wheel
Which keeps rotating
Eternally
From one point to another
In Space and Time
Without a dwell
Some might be alive to see
It Turning Right
But later Generations
Using the art of Semantics,
Critical Thinking, Logic
And the magic of Imagination
Will blow their Own Horn
And Declare
That it turns Left.

She hid me for months in isolation,
withholding the truth about her mistake
from a past when innocence was ruined;
yet, strong enough to keep an embryo pulsing..
as this baby born with a man’s same features
labeled her as the town’s new outcast.
Oh Mother, it’s not your fault, not your fault,
to carry me and be shamed for a noble choice.
Those who judge you for letting me grow;
have they walked your shoes; felt your doom?
I am a product of unplanned conception;
but your love cradles my eyes to trace all stars.
It is my wish that life stages be our exultant music …
here I am, a bundle of promise as we pray
that our moments flourish through angel tidings;
mocked pain you once bore turns into harps of joy
serenaded by interludes of many tomorrows!
*Dedicated to beautiful people like Aristotle,
Edgar Allan Poe, John Lennon, Eleanor Roosevelt,
and millions who survived abortion.

Dramatic Verse
When those innocent eyes stare at you,
you forget the world around you,
When those lips curve into a smile,
you forget all your problems for a while,
When those little fingers grasp your finger,
you know these moments will forever linger.
The little gestures, makes the world come true
When those eyes cry, the world turns blue.
the smile, the tears, the wimper, the frown
all those little actions become talk of the town.

A baby is a bundle of jangling receptors
a limb-wiggling curiosity machine
Equipped to record and retain every sensation
with nodes and neurons labyrinthine
We watch her nap and feed
pray she gets the sleep she needs
While deep inside her, a learning explosion
moves mighty mountains, fills vast oceans

Doesn’t he look like his mother
And the nose, it’s his fathers you know
Look at his grin and the shape of his chin
He’s the image of your brother Joe
The hair, there’s a lot, it’s amazing
It’s like granddads before it fell out
His lungs are so strong, well it won’t be too long
He’ll be screaming and running about
Oh bless him he’s smiling, he’s lovely
He’s so cute you could eat him for tea
His eyes, well, they’re certainly grandma’s
Pick him up, pass him over to me
He must be an absolute pleasure
New babies can bring so much joy
So what are you going to call him,
Oh dear, so she isn’t, a boy

Light Verse
New to her heart and touching her soul…
Before her lies a precious dream.
Completely wrapped up and dedicated to this life...
Her heart explodes with love and beams.
Never before has she ever felt like this,
As God’s gift lies before her… in all her regal bliss.
She knows she can’t ask for more, than to touch her little princess.
Nothing on earth can feel so right, as she yields a gentle kiss.
Overwhelming protectiveness takes over her being,
As she picks up the one who is smiling and gently breathing.
It’s amazing how much love and devotion comes with this blessing,
And how much life can vastly change with its bringing.
She’ll hold her child closely and gently as she sings a lullaby.
Rocking her love… she watches as she slowly closes her eyes.
Her happiness is wrapped up in the little one… who before her lies.
Her little pink bundle of joy… she is truly life’s greatest prize.
Congratulation.

Once upon a time ,a farmer lived in a remote village
He had two sons and they were worked with his father. His wife wanted to see the two son's marriage. She was affected by a dangerous disease of killer.
The marriages were arranged for their sons immediately. Their mother died after the son's marriage suddenly. The Farmer was old and he gave the fields to his sons evenly. His daughters in law served him very reluctantly
He told the abuse of his daughters-in-law to his sons. But his sons heard only the words of their new wives The farmer wanted to teach a lesson for them once.
He thought that the ill use was not be continued to his sons lives
He went to the field and collected the castor seeds
And put them in a tin and covered it by clothes. When his daughters in law passed his bed seats
He jolted the tin and it made the sound of coins. The daughters in law thought that the father in-law had more currency. They competed each other and looked after him good.

Narrative
I can remember many years
before your birth.
I longed for a child very much,
I thought being a mother was
just a dream.
I started to believe something
was wrong with me,
I felt like I was a broken woman
I felt as though I had some kind
of defect.
Everyone around me were having
babies,
I thought it would never happen
for me.
Then one day after many years
of trying,
One day out of the blue , I started to
feel different,
Then I thought to myself could it be?
I went to the doctor and took a test
and I waited anxiously.
He gave me the wonderful news
and I was so happy.
I nearly fainted but amazingly I
didn't fall.
I fell in love with you instantly
Feeling you grow inside my womb
was the most incredible feeling in
the world.
I couldn't wait for your arrival
When you finally came my heart
just melted for you.
My precious, precious baby girl.

It entered my life,
And everything just changed,
It took some form,
It was growing in me,
And I was growing with it.
It would move and it would turn,
How should I take care of it, I had to learn!
Then one fine morning it was time for it to come out of me,
We all had waited long to see,
I was wondering how ‘it’ will be,
Everyone was excited to know who ‘it’ will be!
With a loud cry she came out,
I saw her and tears rushed out,
Everyone went here and there,
To congratulate each other,
And to spread the news of her birth everywhere!
Now with her,
Day turns into night, then night turns into day,
With her along I don't know how time passes away.
It starts with her sweet smile which is mesmerizing,
I forget everyone and everything,
All day long she wants to play,
'She is my world' I happily say!

Go out today with a bundle of cheer,
Spread it as far as you can.
This cheer that you have,
costs nothing at all.
Share it over and over again.
Pass it to those who are weary and sad.
Pass it to those who are ill.
Don't be guilty of letting a day go by
Without spreading a cheer-up pill.
