The Pirate's Life For Me

Yo Ho!, Yo Ho! The pirates life for me
The Jamaica Jewel’s sails are full on seven seas
Skull and bones flying high on the main mast
With a trim bow and keel my flag ship is fast
At both starboard and port, my canons thunder
heard from a distance, time to pillage and plunder

My boots and vest are leather black with buckles gold
When the sunlight reflects, landlubber’s blood runs cold
A gold and turtle shell handled sword slung to my hip
A stylish full brim black hat with a subtle dip
I dress all in black except a plume of vermillion
A chest full of treasure and pieces of eight by the million

Just the sound of my name sends shivers to timbers of all
I am Capitan Blood Head, on mermaid lips and ports-o-call
On sand and beach Capitan Blood Head wanted alive or dead
Where rivers become waterfalls posters for bounty is what’s read

So the legend lives on, from Key Largo, San Juan and St Kitts cay
From Trinidad and Tobago to Saint John and Montego Bay
Don’t you cross Capitan Blood Head and his Scallywags
And don’t even think about his favorite Sea hags
‘cause if you do, they will make you walk the plank
Down to Davy Jones Locker, blub, blub, blub you sank

Premium Member What Does the Fox Say

mouse’s new play mate
squeaks a lot, but doesn’t quack. . .
my rubber ducky

rub a dub ba dub
five fish swimming in my tub. . .
blub blub blub blub blub

reindeer on my roof
my puppies try to warn me. . .
woof! woof! woof! woof! woof!

It isn’t the sound
you need to worry about. . .
*when elephants toot!

moo! The cows cried out
but cows can’t make the “v” sound. . .
they crashed into me!

when birds sing tweet tweet
they need to realize that
cats are hearing “treat!”

out on my front lawn
lying silent and lifeless. . .
*the frog that had croaked

clever little fox
whatever it is you say. . .
I got nothing for ya!

*For my non-American friends who may not know
The lingo, “toot” also means “to fart” and “croak” has
the slang meaning “to die.”

Per request of Scat A., my favorite sound in the song
“What Does the Fox Say” is BLUB!!!” Just Love how
it comes out when I speak it!

What Does the Fox Say

Creeping slick as silk
Crimson foxes scour the night
Like screaming banshees.

Mom and pups scatter
Like fluffy roaches fleeing
When we peek outside.

Bathtime

Bathtime

                    First goes in the water.
                        Drip, drip, drip
                    Off come my clothes.
                        Strip, strip, strip
                    Then go in the bubbles.
                        Plop, plop, plop
                    Next go the super heroes.
                        Fly,
                              zoom,
                                       drop.
                    Then fall the letters
                        A,
                                 B,
                                           C
                    Finally, my bucket,
                    My cup,
                    Then me.

                    Washing my hair.
                    Scrub, scrub, scrub

                    Bubbles tickle toes.
                      blub, blub, blub

                    Bubbles on my belly.
                      Pop, pop, pop

                    Super heroes shouting,
                    “Bad guys, stop!”

                    Froggy under water.
                    "Glub, glub, glub"

                    Mommy smiling,
                       “Times up,
                    Out of the tub”

The Earth Child

I’m back from the aborted time
Where mother earth’s womb foiled me an innocent prime
A crime precipitated with tears of revenge on my carefree mondaine,
Again I’ve come, ushered by thunderstorms and hurricanes

Descending with spleen of capitulating rage from above
Where I had seek castrated-justice from people who know not love,
My angered tears are tattooed. Henceforth, ye’d find my sweets bitter.
Imperiled and mutilated on surgeon’s blade, my spirit groans and quiver, while hers glitters

Her joy of motherhood quakes with the sound of my blub at the doomy sands
When sweats of sorrows and heavy downpour ferries me to the midlands;
Oh my arrival, she’d be filled with a painful smile, a tragedy of happiness!
She’d wish she never pulled that plug out of coyness.

Again, heaven dims its light as one of its kind depart
Downwards. I’m the earth child, the wailing nipper with no heart!

Sequential Love

First time thou opened thy eyes,
thou started to cry,
First time thou stood on thy feet,
Fell on clay, when assayed to fleet,
Thou first day of the school,
Sojourned puling on the stool,
First ever exam of thy life,
Graphite refused to write,
Numerous first times when thou tried,
still couldn't ride,
But thou hast never given up, strived again,
& cemented thy reign,
Then why should thou quit, if thou failed in first love?
Indeed Thou won't hold gloomy memories & blub,
Love is everywhere & will be eternally,
Until thou succeed, just give it a whirl sequentially .......

Behind Nature's Smiles

Come and see around the world
How nature is embellished with unity
How it enshroud from us its nudity
Their true aberration furled

But don't you see them cling thro' arduosness?
Look at the sky: clouds flock against the blustering wind
With mountains, they kiss with kind
But behind their scenic smiles is forlonnness

And the scrambling trees of the forest?
Everyone contending its dear space
But don't they bulwark just in case-
The wind extortion deprives them of rest?

Same to the beautiful gliding birds
The forcible winds halt their forward motion
But out of this they'll sing songs of emotion
And from their melodies we methodise our words

The earth is severely scoured by roaring rains
Its layers consumed by the hungry streams
But still it stockpile meals to the brims
And with crambling terra t'still carries cranes

Again sea surfs blub for discrete land
As the sun mourn against her daily rob of sleep
The sky cleave to its timeous rains with no slip
All these are nature; sad but we'll little understand

Premium Member Blub Blub Squish

One little jellyfish swam quite free
Swishing and gurgling capriciously
With the hiccups it seems
Propelling his jet streams
Back and forth simultaneously

Two tiny seahorses swam in place
Gawking at jellyfish face to face
One said "NO!" does he know
There's a shark at his toe
Ready to gobble him for a taste!

Gristle Stew

Assorted spine bones and a hundred pieces of cartilage and rivets— suspended in the thickest darkest purplest jello. Encased in a leather tube; more like trapped. Grinding and crackling as I twist and turn this dolorous wreck to see what the black horizon has for me. Crackle, crackle, snap. I wanna know what you’re doing. I wanna know what you’re doing…. As I climb these rickety stairs that are nowhere near as rickety as the machinery in my cocked and crumbling knee sockets. Crackle, crackle, snap and grind— as I climb to the top where I can finally relax and shed this tattered hide; these hackneyed rags. Eaten and spit out by daemons and moths. Let me stretch and sprawl out in my very own regal acid bath. Melt this decrepit skin and this curdled jello— Dissolve this pile of splintered bones and cartilage in your cauldron of burning eternity: the only thing that I have ever worshiped. Blub, blub, tssssssssssssssss….

Wise Men

"what if this is as good as it gets?"
said the wise man to the fool.
"now now, don't get hasty: let's...
just talk: put down that tool!"

"hush hush dear sage it's only wood
oh don't you sob and blub
my idea of getting good
is to brain you with this club"

Secrets and Lies

Harold Peters led a very secret life
Totally hidden from his own dear wife
He didn’t work selling quality pork pies
Just another of his devilish devious lies
To conceal the fact when he wasn’t there
He worked in a circus as a dancing bear

He looked so genuine in his bear suit
All the punters thought him so cute
As he waltzed and stepped with skill and ease
That his performing bear never failed to please
And at the right time he would bark and growl
Causing some of the delicate to blub and howl

And show real true fear
Cos the bear was so near
Just an added piece of thrill
And fine tribute to Harold’s skill
He only got the job as a favour from a mate
When the pork pie factory finally shut its gate

And he needed money to make ends meet
But thanks to his skill and twinkling feet
Elmer the Educated Bear of Dance and Fame
Fast became a world known famous name
And Harold earned enough for a faster car
And smoke best thigh rolled Cuban cigars

But very best of all his own sweet wife
Enjoyed more of the better things of life
Inside his suit Harold smiled with glee
As he took his bow on one bended knee
Ah the pleasure and the joys
Giving fun to girls and boys

One last twirl and Harold’s away
Another dollar and another day
Tonight he though he really must try
To remember for his wife a small pork pie
She must never find out when Harold wasn‘t there
He was the World Freestyle Dancing Champion bear
And worst of all, she would think him rude
Cos inside his suit he was in dressed in the nude

Someday, someone will bring back de Blues
Crying songs of yesterday
When we were young
When no better than de hurting songs were sung
Heartbreak caused us all to bruise

Someday, another Billie Holliday will rise up
A Bessie, Howlin’ Wolf, and Bobby Bland
Ella belting from de heart
Their deep-down message from de start
Blip, blub-a-do, wop, bip-bop a ‘bup.
