The Seedy Side of Bagdad By the BayBeneath the window
the refuse refuses to wander,
at least not for long or far enough.
Plastic wrap floats like a bridal veil
taunting a salty breeze.
Oceans of buts..
fill an ashtray of misspent time,
blackening the arteries beneath
the cloaked skin of humanity.
Street dwellers swathed in layers of
