Best Awoken Poems
The echoes of Winter are fading from
view,
Softly, time whispers, out with the old,
make way for the new,
The sun is shining bright, and the sky
is blue,
Let’s get ready to embrace the gentle
Spring breeze and start anew.
Gardens and open fields are buzzing
with change,
Watered by Winter’s snow, rising from
the rich soil are bulbs and seeds of the
hopes we did sow,
Rows and rows of Daffodils, Tulips and
Bluebells, neatly arranged,
A vibrant sight of Spring blooms
a gardener's delight in watching
them grow.
Birds are singing sweet songs,
The Rivers are flowing freely,
and rabbits are dancing, oh, what
a beautiful show,
So let’s join in the Spirit of Spring,
throw our worries into the last of the
melting snow, and watch them simply
just go.

Through the hazy skies
Of this hot summer morning,
I can see your smile
Even if only imagined,
It spreads rays of hope
Between rolling storms
And clapping thunder
Your kindness is always clear
Bringing a return of calmness
To feel with every raindrop
Awoken, I am

Could it be possible,
all i see is an illusion?
Notice all of the confusion.
Nonetheless lies and intrusion.
I must fight them to live my own life.
I must stay sharp, like a steak knife.
There very well may never be a physical bruise-
to what importance of standards would it mean;
to win or to lose.
We are quick to demonize insanity,
however, uphold the usage of inanity;
when we know the similarity shared between us all,
is the want to be free-
can we agree?
There is insanity in us all-
the capability to quickly rise and fall.
I control the eyes of I,
to create my desired reality;
or at least try.

Waiting for the day love floats my way
Hoping for one that is here to play
So many gone by in the past
The further it seems I have to cast
Looking for love that won't surpass
One that can fly without having to crash
Giving it my all
Really wanting to hear the right call
Taking my time being sure not to fall
tearing down this massive wall
That has things coming to a crawl
I'm in it for the long haul
Breaking through this windfall
Plunging forward wanting to recall
A love that stands ten feet tall
One that leads straight for fun
That won't make us feel under the gun
Something beautiful that feels like we have won
Our eyes wide open
Making sure I am scoping
All the opportunities that I have awoken
Hoping the next lady can see
How much my love flows free
That will help us define
A love that will fall right in time
One that I can keep as all mine
A woman who is kind that wants to find
That thrill that makes time stand still
Making us both feel like this is the real deal
Love that brings stars to our eyes
That looks like a beautiful sunrise

I am awoken,
By the idea of greatness.
I am unable,
To sleep until greatness comes.
The work that precedes,
Daunting is the path I chose.
I am most hungry,
With a competitive flame,
That won't waver in the wind.

Once upon a time.
I went running back to it,
Probably not the brightest idea,
Straight through the glass that was left there,
Shattered, battered, and now broken.
I was left in a dazed, hazen dream,
And now I'm awoken,
Broken, awoken, i want to toke,
Watch all the pain go up in smoke,
And pretend that one day you'll be able to stroke,
You're fingertips through the broken glass,
The memories can become reality a'lass,
And everything can hit me way too fast.
Like a dream, I'll watch you dissipate in front of me,
Just like before, my eyes will rain in the same old place,
As I'm running away again, fading, fading; there you go again.

Knee based bouncing
Cheeky giggle growling
Foot happy stamping
Careful mad stepping
Item violent shaking
Kicking, kissing, cuddling
Body popping carrying
Face rubbing
Wall slapping and wiping
Scalp rubbing
Dangerous exploring
Into the collar shallow groping
Two finger mouth poking
One finger eye poking
Innocent elbow stabbing
Strange noise drunk singing
Unclear narrating
Stair bumping
Morning yawning
Open space trotting
Naughty strategic manipulating
Happy cries, quiet bubbling
Crawling bumping
Laughter exploding
All within five minutes of waking

I wear my heart upon my sleeve
and hold it high so now i bleed
I can't believe I'm hearing this
I wonder why I am so pissed
I can't explain all of the pain
I think i'm going quite insane
the reason is that i'm so mad
I just can't stand to be so glad
I cry alone in darker caves
chemical burns rearrange my face
I wanted to believe in you
but all I got was this lousy t shirt
cry me a river and now make it hurt
where are you now I think i'm stumped
I lifted my pain onto the bed
I cried out softly in my head
leave me now I cry and bleed
make me see all things I need
I think of you, the one true love
I think of all of the things above
How dare you do the death on me
I drive myself so crazily
Like it now...like it now
like it now...Like me
How dare you go into the fray
the void I make will make you stray
leave all the blood upon my floor
I think of all the things in store
Left and strutted I am so blunt
I make you want and want and want
I think of all the things you've done
How dare you talk to me at once
Like me for me I am a dream
how dare you break me into streams
I am a golden beam of course
I started to become your source
like a desire that's left unsaid
I say it once and make you glad
I am fulfilled and so i'm sure
when you become me I'll make you soar
Treasure and gifts I've left on your porch
defy me and see what i'll do ..I will scorch
The earth and the heavens begin to believe me
I swallow the oceans and make you deceive me
leave me and cancel all fates and all wrongdoings
all of the followings all of the strongholds
barred none I withhold
I think only of death
once again I am cold and Ice frozen and stealthed
I think what I wanted to do with the ice pick
I've fallen and fallen for you I do really think
I know I have tried to withhold all emotion
all devotion and stationed guards at my hearts door
I think I have fallen and yet I deplore
I am questionable,
left unspoken so sensational
Not very rational but very satanical
Like a bible's verse tyrannical
I discover the true nature of the universe
I then guide you to a pure rational scent of a woman's curse.

Free verse
I was awoken this morning at a half past three,
from a startling sound of a high octave C
I heard an F and a G,
or was that a staccato E?
Whatever note it was, it was disrupting me.
Then a D sharp and a lower octave B
"Oh my God, the tune is torturing me."
Then Hark! A smile of silence and I knew I'd be O.K.
But while dozing off to sleepy land I was jolted with an A.
"This is NOT o.k. I tell you,
to wake me up like this from my rest.
This bleeding eared tune I'm hearing now is putting me to the test!"
So I get up to see what's the matter,
as the cat jumps from the piano down to the floor.
And smugly grinned and said, "What? A mew would have been to
simple just to have you come open up the door."

Lost deep into the moonlight awoken by words blowing in the mist
life is going by so fast so say what must be said before the time is amiss
Starry skies with lost meanings into the deep dark blue depths
Time is a passing so do whatmust be done before there is none left

The dark has awakened it has open his eyes from the sleep
Void it wonders explosion light has heat
Fluorescent form a brilliant host
It it has opened his eyes from its sleep
God speaks he has spoke
fluorescent form a brilliant host
Not darkness sleeps God speaks he has spoke
Voided wonders explosion light has heat
Now the darkness sleeps
The light has awakened

My friends, it is a dismal thing
At such an hour to pound and ring!
Let others shiver if they must,
I shall not greet a sky of rust!
Let first the air be half so warm
As in this covered nest I form.
And then, perhaps, if need of it,
I’ll lift an eye, and half-way sit.

I know I'm close.I feel it
Now awoken I can see
It coats my tongue I taste it
Almost unbound almost free
I'm slipping off my shackles
Steps from the finish line
I fight, I push, I run to it
I'm taking back what's mine
For so long I've been buried
Six feet under, couldn't breathe
I dug that grave, I shoveled it
My tomb of mediocrity
I'm clawing my way out of it
These mounds of banal dirt
Alive again, revived, reborn
A participant on earth
Must keep going don't look back
There's nothing there to see
Just fragments of my poser shell
This skin is real, it's me

Avatar Queen
The mask or the screen,
What’s never to know
What’s never to see
Avatar Queen
Your name to mislead,
One more cryptic posting
That always deceives
Avatar Queen
Both petty and preened,
The bees in your bonnet
No stinger foreseen
Avatar Queen
You know what I mean,
With feelings all borrowed
And vistas unseen
Avatar Queen
The sourest cream,
No reason to wish
All hope dressed in green
Avatar Queen
Your anger unweaned,
My answer then sharp
My rapier free
Avatar Queen
Not to sleep or to dream,
Your nightmare awoken
In daylight you scream
Avatar Queen
One curse washes clean,
Your blessings defaced
—no chance to redeem
