Awoken I Am

Through the hazy skies
Of this hot summer morning,
I can see your smile
Even if only imagined,
It spreads rays of hope
Between rolling storms
And clapping thunder
Your kindness is always clear
Bringing a return of calmness
To feel with every raindrop
     Awoken, I am
