Premium Member I See You Says the Moon

They'll have you believe she was lost to the sea,
But the moon would beg to differ.

She was always lost,
Always looking for which way to go.
Or was that always looking for where she came from?
The moon couldn't really tell coming from going;
To a celestial body both look pretty much the same.

She wanted to be found asserts the moon.
Or was that to be seen?

She had confided at every turn,
Every phase,
I see you,
Do you see me?
I am but a sliver today, how about you?
A crescent, that's exactly how I'm feeling too!
I see you,
Do you see me?
No, not this moonless night;
I don't see myself either.
I see you,
Do you see me?
I see you.

I know you see me too.
You are the full that fills me.

She was not lost to the sea insists the moon.
It was not the sea that swallowed her
But my reflection.

Love Game

I'm the bloke she never had,
she's the girl I never knew,
when I met her she was sad,
broken up without a clue.

We've talked of her past
and touched on mine,
in love that didn't last,
insecurities, the whine.

I don't need a partner confronting me,
and she doesn't neither,
I know if I can trust her
I'll never leave her.

I want to get to know her comfortably,
spend my days enjoying her company,
in the bed she'll open her front for me
shaft that'll blast out thus set me free.....

and in those moments all close and moany,
we'll tell each other, "you're the one and only".

I won't keep tags, doubt or act like I own it,
I want a relationship that lives in the moment,

cus she's told me of wrongs in boyfriends before,
I've no reason to doubt her, of that I'm sure,
a relationship shouldn't be there to endure,
work hard to ensure love doesn't turn sore.

She's been hurt, felt horrible and been deflated,
experienced relationships turn love to hatred,
she now asserts with grace honour and respect,
I won't force yet form it and hope I'm select.

She has a raw beauty that made me fond,
a great personality I can't look beyond,
visually controls my family jewels and wand,
but for now, all I want's to form a bond.

She has her shields up to keep men clear,
boundaries that yield, "you can't sleep here",
she's no fear to strike any man too near,
while I think it's cute, she has no idea.

I just want to be best friends and luck buddies,
grow old together until we're dead bodies,
cus this girls got it all, she's not like nobody,
out of this world, I'd be her best buddy,

but for now I'll just pace it, I won't count time,
while patiently waiting for her I'm fine,

cus I'll be that face that never shows hate,
I'm here in my place near my soulmate.

In these very early days, these words I had to lay,
I know she won't read them, thinks poetry's gay,
I don't mind different hobbies, I think it's ok,
if she plays with me nob at the end of the day.

Premium Member Shyness

I'm young with no identity,
A faceless boy, alone and shy.
To classmates, a nonentity;
My parents fret and wonder why.

I'm part of the unnoticed pack.
I step aside as others pass.
To be alone, I sit in back
And never volunteer in class.

I cannot dance or speak on stage
And hate to pose for photographs.
From social scenes I disengage
Avoiding bullies' taunts and laughs.

Uncaring, they my spirit crush.
At lunch I have no company.
I shrink from hugs and tend to blush
And dirty jokes embarrass me.

I dread the days we swim at school
And shower with the other boys.
I try, but nothing 'bout me's cool.
I lack both confidence and poise.

I'm frightened by the internet
Where vicious rumors often spread.
There mockery's a constant threat
While thoughts of vengeance fill my head.

The girls and jocks just walk on by.
They're unaware that I exist.
No welcome waves or friendly "Hi."
I'm seventeen and not been kissed.

The popular comprise a clique
Where bolder boys have fun and flirt.
Among my peers, I'm seen as weak,
And girls avoid an introvert.

The meek inherit all the earth.
That's what the Bible verse asserts.
But while alive, we've little worth.
We're targets for disdain and hurts.

Tomorrow's graduation day.
This high school torment will have passed.
When college life gets under way,
I hope for friends and peace at last.

A Winters Night

There is no thing so peaceful
As a winters night in the woods--
A canopy as black as pitch,
Spangled with the pinpricks of a billion stars--
Shimmering.
The banks of snow and downy flake,
Turned to diamonds by the moonlight
That drapes the sparkling,
Rolling hills with a shawl of powder blue
And midnight lace.
The cold air, brisk and chill,
Transforms my every breath to puffs
of cloud, that trail away like
Wisps of smoke, into nothingness.
So peaceful is this winter wood--and still,
Like foxes napping.
No evidence of man exists--
He is not welcome here.
I myself am an intruder, and gratefully.
There are no prints, or marks,
Save the tracks of a hungry deer.
And the indecisive flurries fall,
As if the stars themselves--
And lightly gather on my brow and lash.
Then comes, and without warning,
A gentle breeze--a timid thing
Who asserts itself--reluctantly,
And shy.
It wanders through the powdered wood,
Lightly stirring snow and pine.
How comforting the rustle--
Just as reverent as a hymn.
And the sweet scent of the Douglas Fur
Consumes the sense and dulls the wit,
Till I am thoughtless there;
Save but one, this is a prayer--
The kind whispered as a child.
Perhaps children would be welcome here,
If they could quiet be;
Although snowballs would be welcome
In this place of sanctity.
But awe the sound, I thoughtless hear
A pinecone falling from a tree--
A sound that I would overlook
Were I elsewhere but this wood.
And that's the magic of the hymn;
The magic of the prayer--
The magic of this powdered wood
To be the more aware.
And thankfully I ponder every flurry--
Every flake, every star
And every diamond--
Every cloudy breath I take.
Now the banks of blue
Are a part of me--
This winter wood, my soul;
And though soon I will be leaving,
I will never really go.
For there is no thing so peaceful
As a winters night in the woods--
And there is no thing so quiet,
As snow!

Premium Member End of Age

The Scripture asserts this truth in Luke 21:11:
“And great earthquakes shall be in divers places,
and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights
and great signs shall there be from heaven.”

Already prophesied… thus, expected to happen.
With such turmoil, I, DISASTER personified present to you
my horrifying rage smiting mountains’ grandeur
igniting volcanoes to burst out flames reminding hell’s torture forever
awaiting the faithless and unbelievers to yell midst restlessness’ angst
sealed in their deplorable doom midst cruel defiant hatred.

You’ve witnessed my fury as devouring CALAMITY
revealed by my forest fire’s peril…
such is just a glimpse of unending heat in hell’s no-exit destiny
where misery gloom prevails in endless darkness
due to sufferings and hopelessness pangs
leaving righteousness-offenders in their guilty status.

My wrath’s unleashing fatal power of ruthless CATASTROPHE
reigns over mankind’s abuse of nature, bringing pestilence
as sun’s scorching heat keeps emitting deadly rays
voicing out grim warning of hell-fire's everlasting torment
expressing death's wailing every second
as sorrows, anguish, woes howl in wild lamentation
with constant gnashing of teeth terribly experienced.

In my PERDITION forces, you’re awakened by God Almighty
now, reflect on this reality as I appeal to your body, soul and spirit…
my terror is still no match with hell's tenacious grip
which you can miss to obtain peace-filled freedom
by trusting the Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ placing your faith in HIM
Who already vanquished hell by His sacrificial love*
toward triumphant "end of age" welcoming unending agelessness.

*Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Premium Member It's Nothing But Delusion

Today they believed the lies
the distorted truths… the accusations… and wrong-doing cries
the created fabrications which are easy to consume
conceptualizations and distortions… abundant and abloom.

Responsibility once assumed… but now rarely seen
reality now falsified… made convoluted… and obscene.
And the beat goes on….
as the mind is twisted
like that character… on Prodigal Son.

And while these false narratives appear
which the perpetrator wishes that all will embrace
the ego desperately asserts and manipulates
loyalty and trust is what it requires, and necessitates
but the soul is slaughtered… beaten… and no where to be found
and truth is tossed… lost… by perplexing theories which abound
while delusion….
leaves nothing but despair and mind confusion.
And life goes on….
the mind twisted
like that character… on Prodigal Son.

The Beast

The weirdest beast inhabits Earth;
A Human with a brain. It’s large but uses
a tiny bit of what's bestowed at birth.
Whatever primal concept Man chooses,
catastrophes usually soon arise.
Developed fire, but readily is burned,
Invents the wheel, then underneath he dies.
You'd think he would eventually learn.
Impossible you say? I think your right!
This is the beast who thought the world was flat.
Pathetic creature never was that bright.
But ask him if he is he’ll laugh at that
inquiry. Arrogance asserts itself
when having high opinion of ones self.

Prior to Ink

Pen prepares its blood with quiet intent,
Flowing with words that embrace no cliche;
Its spirit starts to pump the heart's content,
Beginning with inner insights to say.

The ink's voice shouts with neither sound nor noise,
Creating calmness inside the bold mind;
The soul's silent scream still seems its best choice,
For the right meanings hiding there to find.

Shrouded images sprout in clarity,
Springing with fragrant flowers of wisdom;
Brightly bringing beauty to pure poetry,
As the author asserts his true kingdom.

Golden goal greatly gains its priceless prize,
As wonder wakes up the sweet sleeping eyes.

Premium Member Goldie

Goldie, my peculiar but beloved cat,
has certain affectations --
she prefers, most times, her own society
and shuns her housemates.
But, sometimes, she cuddles
or will join the others
to laze around -- in the living room,
the dining room, a hallway, or
in the kitchen.
An inside cat who, early on,
suffered the indignity of
"the operation,"
she asserts her independence
by darting into the front yard
when a door is opened --
and she pointedly ignores
any calls or pleas to come inside.
But when the door shuts
and no one is around, she is fearful,
immediately climbing up into the ash tree.
And there she stays
until I come to coax her down.
She may climb high up
and, finally, shakily manage
a descent to allow me to pick her up
and carry her back inside.
She never leaves the yard
but does enjoy ignoring me
when I am in a hurry.
She will dart about and run
from one side of the yard to the other.
For her, it's only an infrequent game.
And, as my treasured pet,
she certainly deserves to play
while testing the limit
of my affectionate, chagrined
commitment.

Premium Member Green Eyed Jealousy

When green-eyed jealousy asserts her will
and apologies flounder in her wake;
promiscuity's no longer a thrill.

You can't avoid the acid tears that spill;
and beg for forgiveness, for pity's sake,
when green-eyed jealousy asserts her will.

When subtle looks adopt an autumn chill
and nights become impossible to take;
promiscuity's no longer a thrill.

Insults get exchanged with uncanny skill;
and your future happiness is at stake,
when green-eyed jealousy asserts her will.

If you find you need a drink or a pill,
and you're afraid your heart's going to break;
promiscuity's no longer a thrill.

Accusing words get increasingly shrill;
berating you for every past mistake.
When green-eyed jealousy asserts her will,
promiscuity's no longer a thrill.

Remote land summon an aloof tempest,
Bursting lights glint inquietude offshore,
Edged mists intimate like an apprentice,
Intrigue asserts the clouded to explore.

Inland heating like a warming welcome,
Landlubbers likely combative response,
Unveiled inherent instincts that seldom,
Aid dominions that are so nonchalance.

Newt eyes nictating atop curling waves,
A plucked forest acts as a casting wand,
Amplifying teens conjure inward braves,
Spirits arising maintaining the spawned.

Imaged enthralled hazes flit Noah's ark,
Sweeper-swept palls purify rainbow arc.

Premium Member Ego's Monstrous ComPetition

Earth had offered Her eco-centric contract
of love and synergy,
awaiting ego's personal response each day,
each moment,
eager to optimize wealthy health care cooperations
of sacred grace.

Over an apparently inadequate lifetime
ego implied his competitive response:

I grow increasingly excited,
stimulated,
by this co-petitioning challenge
to frame our dissonance,
our operational riddles and puzzles,
games and illogistics
and dark strategies

Measured in statistical decomposition
of the odds for sustaining life
by perfecting hatred and fear
of death's dissociative decay.

I question Earth's right to positive resolution
and harmonic resonance,
as consonant co-governance
of enlightened ego empowering eco
to play win/win,
recreate without sin,
and co-passion nicely together

This co-petition against wasted anxious time
fully exercises my right of conscience,
to re-search 0-sum ego-partisanship
for absolute freedom from eco-dependence.

This co-petition asserts our human natural guild's unlovely preference
for contention over contentment
for sustained longing rather than resilient belonging
for uni-lateral freedom
rather than ego/eco bilateral interdependence.

EarthMother absorbed this richly contentious compost,
this dissembling over cooperative rights of assembly
and competition challenging associative eco-creation
as too inclusive recreation,
divisive of ego's omnipotent present place
in organic space
derived from eco's multisystemic functions
within history's healthiest seasons.

It seems to me,
said She,
Time has unfolded an eco-systemic co-tractive gift,
born of Her binomial grace
in bilaterally felt space,
a belonging response to mutually co-tribute with ego
gratitude for bicameral mutuality
and full freedom of co-scientific consciousness,
to conjoin time's eternal moment
of past personal ego
with future eco recentering life.

Post Scripted: "After all this time and space
repeating inhumane competitions and cooperative contractions,
deductive inducements to balance positive political space
with negative un-ecological economic time,
thank you for remembering why RightBrain felt eco-normics
gave birth to LeftBrain's verbal ego-petitions
in our first through last breathing moment
of win/win eco-operative identity."

The End of the War

There are people in the street
One single voice can be heard
All eyes are wide but they don't see
Revolution does not mean
The end of the war
The end of the war

Kings of the world 'round these parts
grab all the money and run
soon thereafter times get hard
they're on to us with loan-sharks
Take all the money and run,
They don't stand for what they've done

In another world, th`smell of your hair,
th`touch of your skin is neither here nor there
where am I to begin, for whom am I to care?

It came to me in a dream
and I believe ev'ry word
No common ground in between
and only the dead have heard
The end of the war
The end of the war

Revolution means nothing
and only the dead have seen
The end of the war
The end of the war
The. . . . . end. . . of. . . . the. . war.

________________

This was actually a fast write, I'm very happy to get this one done. It'll be a mad blast to put on the stage. It sounds like an anti war song but it isn't, it just makes a relevant observation and asserts it's conviction that life is suffering.
