Best Assertively Poems
A girl around 13, sitting at a kitchen table of the home where she baby sits,
is waiting for the woman of the house to finish getting ready to leave.
She is startled by two brazen hands coming surreptitiously from behind her,
fingers and thumbs beginning to gently squeeze her prepubescent breasts.
Frightened and aghast, the young girl stays transfixed and says nothing.
The man’s wife calls out to her husband, and the fondling abruptly ceases.
The girl knows something is wrong, but she doesn’t want to give up the babysitting.
She enjoys the children and likes earning money on her own.
All she can do is fervently and silently hope the incident will not reoccur
as she continues, on and off, to watch the children of that disgusting man.
The girl’s mind and body mature; by age 17, she is coming into her own.
She has been reading, watching, experiencing, and . . . . learning.
Once again, in those later years, she has the occasion to watch the children
of that man whose invading hands had long ago so repulsed her!
As he drives her home late at night, he reaches out for breasts now much larger.
The girl is waiting for it. Shaking inside, she summons up her small bit of courage.
Pushing his hands away, she calmly but assertively declares:
“Leave me alone. You can never do that to me again.” She now realizes
there are not always others that can help you. No longer a scared little girl,
she's a woman who can take care of herself. I know because that girl was me.

Narrative
three incisor teeth burst through fresh flesh...
opaque as pearls, strong as love, precious
beautiful baby babbles assertively
mesmerized by mishmash sounds
that her astounding mouth can make
prose poetry in its practice
as canines erupt, she moans from the ache
teeter-tottering restless to repress pain
speedily advancing in substantial strength
distracted by oblivious destructiveness
a significant stepping stone approaches
as a capable kindergarten adult
she wiggles loose her first baby tooth
receives a rich reward from a fantasy fairy
more teeth disappear like pressed piano keys
then return acutely out of tune
braces displace awkward half grins
an investment of finances and adolescence
unstoppable with seducing sweets
she sneaks cuddly candy under covers
falling asleep with sugar plum dreams
not counting a few costly cavities
free-spirited, experimental teen
meets Christina on the street
samples compelling quartz crystal
returns for seconds, as someone else disguised
mesmerized by mishmash sounds
that her astounding mouth can make
speedily advancing in substantial strength
she lucently levitates to a loftier place
a magnificent mind babbles assertively
sweeping the streets of pixie dust
no need to eat or sleep
like a firefly in heat, she dances frantically
teeter-tottering restless to repress pain
distracted by oblivious destructiveness
she visualizes voices that vivify the way
to the day's salacious survival guide
prismic vision's shimmers no longer satisfy
cotton candy granules' sweetness subsides
coming down from kaleidoscopic clouds
half-awake, she moans from the ache
shrill shrieks portray poetry's unspoken pain
death's drab projection is her heartless reflection
hocking heirlooms to trade for a transient thrill
a despondent inhabitant of tragedy
creepy crawlers invade every inch of skin
her thin figure balances a skull's shadow
irretrievable, ill-treated teeth crumble
like the city's plundered storefront windows
filthy, for granted, forlorn, fast-fading
...three feeble canine teeth remain

Key Verse – 1Chronicles 14:2 And David perceived that the LORD had confirmed him king over Israel, for his kingdom was lifted up on high, because of his people Israel.
PRAISE BE TO GOD WHO CONFIRMS OUR PRAYER
Praise be to God for confirming our prayer:
Perceived by His enlightenment
Presented with earnestness
Propelled for edification
Propped upon eternity
Pushed to evangelize
1Chronicles 14:10 Praise be to the Lord Who
responds to our enquiry that assures:
Truth that is tested
Triumph against tests
Thanksgiving midst trials
Trust with thoughtfulness
Tact tackling tremendous tricks
1Chronicles 15:26 Praise be to the Saviour
for His help that is:
Always strong
Assertively sure
Abundantly supplied
Affirmatively Scriptural
Available and safely steadfast. Amen!

Alliteration
Leader of the home with virtuous height
Bracing up family with grand posture
Governing prudently by great faith’s might
He’s our Daddy in his godly gesture.
Daddy dearest is our human fortress.
He loves us as he trusts the Lord* Who’s great.
Assertively pointing truths he does stress
Guiding with values of excellent rate.
His humor’s sense speaks of prudence-fervour
While wholesome jokes call for analyses
His boyish looks, before, earned Mom’s favour
With wise perspective in facing crises.
A champion in his home-roles’ fulfillment
Dad exemplifies “genuine provider"
Propelled by his faithfulness’ commitment
A paragon of steadfast life-builder.
Showing verily servant-leadership
Our father’s a hero in word and deed
How we thank his marvelous guardianship
We praise God for Dad’s legacy indeed.
*Psalm 103:13 Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.

Ode
Seductively symetrical in form and presence
She calls it Eve, I call it sepia political
Aroused motherhood of nation, a glamorous sense
Of identity, modern and yet mystical
Naked as a morning, smooth as silk dreams
She looks back, not histantly, nor curiously
Profiled the hidden breast, in streams
Of provocativeness, the right hand assertively
Shouldered on the fallen curtain of hair
Lefting hand coming down where the stare
Of vulgar eyes would fall, stripped of history
But not of dignity, the umbilical memory
Cradlles a lascivious eye against the dark skin
Woman bounteous with beginnings, sister, kin.
Edna Manley
Eve (Ceremonial Dance)
Edna Manley (1900 – 1987) studied art at Central St. Martins School of Art in London
alongside fellow sculptors Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth. Her artistic career began by
sculpting clay models of animals but she made her reputation as a wood carver. During her
life she became known as the Mother of Jamaican Art, and claimed that it was in Jamaica
where she found both her subjects and materials. The sculpture 'Eve' (1929) was presented
to the Graves Art Gallery in Sheffield by the artist herself in 1937. .

CALIBER:
Burn out the news,
If you think of it being new.
The talk of what I've been through,
Doesn't appear as truth.
It's a risky deal for you.
I'm seeing it with few,
To be an unimaginable conceptualised deal.
Back in our younger days,
Where we just trap to efface.
Something I never accept to taste.
People call me lame of shame,
For I choose to be myself in the game.
Smoking, killing, robbing never my aim.
Wasn't part of reasons why I came.
I get a different plan all the same,
With my red eyes picturing my lane.
Impressing nobody, fear not to be sane.
Go ahead and shoot me Mr. Sake of fame.
What gets me stronger is an undying flame,
Unlimitedly causing magnificence,
Born out of intellectuality walled by faith.
This citation proves my legitimacy on slate.
As I stand by personal competence to be awake,
To clearly elaborate minds laid on await.
At the end we all will be clinged by conjugate.
And our spines will elevate,
Causing a tremendous change to propagate.
No suicide, fratracide would be in minds.
And every heart will show some kind,
Only for that goal to be held as one.
When the table serve some wine,
We then say a good deal is done.
But hold on some minute,
Maybe you're actually not getting it.
Well, Some also might be lost to think,
Especially those folks diregarding this.
This is a reality defining who I am.
I don't go contrary to the norm.
That's going wayward or doing wrong,
Because I don't forget where I'm from.
And I throw no stones to those who conform,
To the system that corrupts.
It's their choice,and I'm informed.
In my circle do I not stay common,
Assertively taking refuge in a dungeon,
Protected by Judah's Greatest Lion.
On him do I forever rely on.
My strength and happiness,
Sourced from his greatness.
Placing me at the top to be fearless.
What then could make my life baseless?
I'm brave and earnest.
Withstanding against pellets,
Discharged to cause breakdowns,
Against my life anyhow.
In fact, this is really detrimental.
Yet, I modify it willfully to be topical.
Funny how the narration goes,
I don't care about it though .
I stay keenly to achieve my goals..
Strictly do I hate to oppose.
And thank God my ambitions is not disclosed,
For my worth to be blemished the most.
Yes,I'm Anderson Walkingshoes!
I'm strong, determined and bold.

Heart problem? That's common to all; and nobody is exempted!
"I'm well; I'm healthy." You and I can declare such, when prompted...
Yet... the nagging question keeps on reverberating - - -
Like you, I'll face it - not resisting; and then, deal with it... unrelenting.
“The heart of the problem,” the analysts say
“…is the problem of the heart*.” I agree anyway
For out of the heart are life’s issues verily…
Thus is what God’s precept affirms assertively.
Today, I’m yielding myself to the heart Doctor
My Creator, life’s Designer, Operator
For Him to reveal my lingering heart ailment
That I ignore, deny, hide with guilt’s settlement.
Here am I, under the heart Expert’s scrutiny
Exposing common heart aches’ source that seems tiny;
Oh, how I cringe in pain as He names what’s the main…
In my inward parts there sits on the throne the villain.
Diagnosis shows pride exalting self’s glory
Highlighting selfishness’ ecstatic victory
Revolving around the I, me, myself and mine
With envy, covetousness, and greed next in line.
Midst the heart Specialist’s examination
I’m failing… and now fainting in deep exhaustion…
Gripped am I with feelings of doubt, confusion, shame
Though hurting, I come to God; His healing – I claim.
Now, I admit my severe heart-infirmities
And receive His cleansing for my impurities
“Lord, I thank Your mercy, grace, love that never lack
To safeguard me surely from fatal heart attack.”
*Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

March 13 Relationship to God Bible Meditations Based on Ruth 1-4
Key Verse –Ruth 1:6 Then she arose with her daughters in law, that she might return from the country of Moab: for she had heard in the country of Moab how that the LORD had visited his people in giving them bread.
LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY BREAD GIVER
Lord God, You are my bread Giver, dealing with me kindly
Thank You for granting me Your provisions constantly
You be praised as You make me grow in faith steadfastly
I cleave unto You, desiring Your presence earnestly.
Lord God, You are my bread Giver, directing me to follow You daily
Thank You for guiding me with Your wisdom consistently
You be praised as You fill my emptiness with grace abundantly…
I cling unto You, returning always to Your will determinedly.
Lord God, You are my bread Giver, dressing me up spiritually
Thank You for governing me with Your love wondrously
You be praised as You bless me continually…
I come unto You, abiding in Your care joyously.
Lord God, You are my bread Giver, drawing me to trust You fervently
Thank You for girding me with Your comfort serenely
You be praised as You shower me with kindness faithfully…
I call unto You, meeting You at Your throne worshipfully.
Lord God, You are my bread Giver, driving me to seek You sincerely
Thank You for getting hold of me to warm my heart cheerfully
You be praised as You teach me to be a virtuous woman biblically…
I cry unto You, pleading for Your triumphant help victoriously.
Lord God, You are my bread Giver, deterring me to fight sin righteously
Thank You for gripping me by Your redeeming mercy powerfully
You be praised as You raise me up to stay in Your will that is holy…
I cast myself unto You, submitting to Your control humbly.
Lord God, You are my bread Giver, daring me to testify about You assertively
Thank You for guarding me from false witnesses protectively
You be praised as You build me up to serving You obediently…
I commit my all unto You, relying ceaselessly on You completely.

Master of the Game
Defensive yet so dangerous,
deadly to its kill.
Protective, yes the Patient One,
and still King of the Hill.
Curious and Courageous,
a predator that harbors your fear.
Seductive, yes the Selective One,
alertful pinpricked ears.
Aggression mixed assertively,
hypnotic controlling stare.
Independent alone the Infamous One,
uncooked, raw, and rare.
Is he a man or an animal,
are they not one in the same?
Malicious, the Manipulative One,
and still Master of the Game...

My Dad is an Asian, declared by his color and height...
…since the supreme Lord has blessed him with that heritage
Through such physique, he performs well by great faith’s might
…that upholds his prayer life he regards as an advantage!
He is my Daddy dearest, my human fortress…
…who loves me, his darling daughter, as he trusts the Father’s grace.
Assertively adamant is he when his point he can stress
…yet readily laughs out loud when he loses in our debate-race.
I delight in his prudent sense of humor...
…with his wholesome jokes that need analyses
His boyish looks (decades ago) earned my Mom’s favor
…especially his mature perspective in facing crises.
A champion in his family-roles’ fulfillment…
…my Dad is a model of "the responsible provider"
He is governed by his faithfulness’ commitment
…and entitled with the award for "the steadfast home-builder!"
I thank God for my father* and his pampering kindness…
…but he has never “spoiled” me; that I can testify
To the Almighty I entrust my Dad’s years-bountifulness…
…for him to enjoy His goodness as His name he does magnify!

I beg, Lord, for Your wisdom* for effective spirituality
So as to walk with You everyday with perseverance
Fortified to overcome faith-tests by Your assurance
Assertively expressing Your supreme sovereignty.
I pray, Lord, for Your wisdom in my servant-heart attitude
As I worship You with my whole heart
Illumined to cleave to Your grace midst doubt’s dart
Sincerely yielding to You with joyous gratitude.

E is the beginning of EXPENSE, the acrostic series.......
Expensive…Imagination caught my eye…I couldn’t afford losing you badly,
even if you’re worth is worth a pair of decent-looking shoes, but what are
really made of in the inside? Slip your feet inside my shoes for one moment in
your life…for all my life, I was left with a mystery with absolutely no clues…do
I have to find my way out of my solitary dorm? The ghosts are jeering at me
and intimidating me again and again and again and again… scaring me out of
my boots! No one gives any hoots! Untangle me from the comforting shell of
fatality – a story let to tell! You’re only a phony fool, in other words, a
worthless, inadequate tool! I’m climbing the Mountain of Gracious Glory,
gaining back my alienated ambition – I know where the wicked wind flows –
it flows in the land of milk and honey…it sweeps something grand into my
brain and seeps inside of my wobbly body altogether…it marinates in my brain
signals and I receive thoughts of endless sensations and luminous notions!
Deplorable Reality’s strategic tragedy stings like billion’s of buzzin’ busy bees
out of their honey dens or hives! My noggin is runnin’ wild in circles and my
mind is whirling like a seething storm that’s body-quaking me…controlling me
like a steel-made robot…these particular pangs of regrets makes my guilty
conscience overflow with low self-esteem and anguish…lamentation has fallen
upon us all! We all must stand tall…remember to brave & hop over our
obstacles optimistically and assertively like a horse during his training for the
biggest race he has ever trampled into! Do you have any clue what I’ve been
through? My notions that are spinning around in my brain is like the
vegetables, water & the spices, mixing well & swell into a stew, restoring
peace to my verse…Is my life a gift or a curse? Deplorable Reality’s strategic
tragedy stings like billion’s of buzzin’ busy bees out of their honey dens or
hives! I’m climbing the Mountain of Gracious Glory, gaining back my alienated
ambition – I know where the wicked wind flows – it flows in the land of milk
and honey…that’s where you and I will flee!

DICTATOR – SUCCESSOR - DICTATOR
Absolute power lies in his hands,
How his chest expands!
How long does a Dictator last,
This era should now
Become the past.
His greedy ego,
Should not be fed,
The people all agreed and said,
His hedonistic ways,
Have left him
But a few days.
They all know,
That he must go,
His spies advise
That he lays low.
The masses, the army,
The man in the street,
Ready to march,
Bringing thousands of feet,
So angry, so vengeful,
So ready, so united
Everything’s planned,
It has been decided.
A coup erupts,
The Dictator’s out,
A unanimous decision
Which carried clout,
And in his place
Comes a cunning clone,
Who assertively says
All the land is his own!
The hearts of the masses
Immediately sink,
How stupid
Were they ever to think,
A clone, accomplice
To the Dictators deeds,
But fully aware ,
Of the people’s needs,
Would be re-active,
Sensitive and sane of mind
Not so –
Clone and Dictator were one of a kind.

I'm a strong person, created of rough stone,
Wispy magenta dust was plucked off the ground.
Threatens to wreck my dreams in my moan,
As amethysts gracing my bedside endowed
Wispy magenta dust plucked off the ground,
Discovering insight in the early morning sky.
As amethysts gracing my bedside endowed,
I wish I could spew words into a width of the sly.
Discovering insight in the early morning sky,
I am bound with poetry, so it flows time on me.
I wish I could spew words into a width of sly,
Erasing all my unwillingness and anxiety.
I am bound with poetry, so it flows time on me,
Abandoning me to the mercy of the universe.
Erasing all my unwillingness and anxiety,
Assertively nothing other than a creative force.
