Dictator Successor Dictator

DICTATOR – SUCCESSOR - DICTATOR Absolute power lies in his hands, How his chest expands! How long does a Dictator last, This era should now Become the past. His greedy ego, Should not be fed, The people all agreed and said, His hedonistic ways, Have left him But a few days. They all know, That he must go, His spies advise That he lays low. The masses, the army, The man in the street, Ready to march, Bringing thousands of feet, So angry, so vengeful, So ready, so united Everything’s planned, It has been decided. A coup erupts, The Dictator’s out, A unanimous decision Which carried clout, And in his place Comes a cunning clone, Who assertively says All the land is his own! The hearts of the masses Immediately sink, How stupid Were they ever to think, A clone, accomplice To the Dictators deeds, But fully aware , Of the people’s needs, Would be re-active, Sensitive and sane of mind Not so – Clone and Dictator were one of a kind.

Amazing how in this poem, I just saw all the faces of our Government popping into my head. Sad that politics is full of lying, cheating and dishonesty. An amazing write Jenny, thank you. Its going into my favourite list. Kim

Hi Kim, Show me one country where corruption and lying and cheating doesn't happen. Each and every one are culprits! But D Day is approaching , maybe not whilst we are alive but in our children' s time, almost a certainty. xoxo, Jennifer

The problem with a dictator is that they are a dictator. Great job, Jennifer. Who is to say which one is better or worse or the same? None of the common folk know.

Unfortunately Politics are never true, promises are made but hardly ever kept! Each politician's guideline, is for him or herself only, and of course lets not forget their ego and glory, flip the masses! Thanks for your kind, lovely comments always Caren. xoxo, Jennifer

Reminds me of the saying, out of the frying pan into the fire, they're all the same. Tom.

I know Tom, Unfortunately politics have been the same throughout time - no country has ever been exempt of maladministration! Best wishes. Jennifer
