On the subject of BORROWED DESCRIPTIONS ----My quest to appreciate my island roots

I live on an island in the Pacific region
The largest body of water is the OCEAN
Like, can we be more Pacific?

I think Christopher Columbus got lost
Because the directions were not pacific

Oh, excuse me, the Pacific Ocean
Where you will find the small islands (micronesia)
Where you will find the black islands (melanesia),
Where you will find the many islands (polynesia)

Generally, the islanders are like coconuts
So hard on the outside
But succulent on the inside
Yet they always end up wanting Samoa

Get this,
An assault by an Islander
is called a Hawaiian Punch

At times, these islands need a therapist when they are in a tropical depression
Some islands have sunk
Oh no do not laugh
That is not funny atoll
Sea yourself out

Therefore, I live on an island
A small island
I am a MICRO
I mean, how can I get more pacific than that?

Imagine waking up and everything has changed.
No free will, your entire life prearranged.
Being told where to go and what you can do.
All aspects controlled, even your view.

No more crime and no need for law.
A life without love, no ma and no pa.
Imagine this gift suddenly taken away.
Would this life be good, even for one day?

No more dreams of what you could be.
Nothing to look forward to, we would all just agree.
What if opinion would no longer exist.
No more falling in love, or that first time being kissed.

Maybe we need the good with the bad.
How else can we appreciate all that we’ve had?
Without bad in this world, would good be a thing?
What is free will and what does it bring?

A Solitary Road

When we travel through the solitary road
Not taken by many of those happy crowd
Hardly we glimpse the direction board
Rather drench in the showers of depreciative words

Pondering over our desired destination
Wondering about the mystical citations
Dreading the results of our action
We may feel perturbed and agitated

Like a daunted child
Abandoned in the field wild
We feel exhausted and dejected
At this crucial time, will emerge an angel

Like the god who appears in a child's dream
To make him smile like a sunbeam
arises as an angel, our inner strength
Help us traverse the road lengthy

The spirit inside us hauls
good spirits and souls
Who will travel along with us
To make our journey successful

So when we travel through the solitary road
Not taken by many of those happy crowd
Never look up for the direction board
Do not carry those depreciative words

Rather kindle your inner force
For the road's end, it foresees
And drive you complete the course

You stand beneath my boughs
Never hearing my silent prayers
For someone to understand
I’m more than simply a friend
I bring life to those who listen
For the kindness in my whispers
I breathe, I bleed, I plead
In a prayer sighed through my leaves

You stare up through my branches
Look for the perfect time
To take me down and make me into
Something built or designed
A house, a cabinet, a page
Where you fill me with different things
Furniture, odds and ends, words
Sparks of life to enlighten
With me, you even build fires

You listen to the breath of the wind
As it sends its howling thorough my limbs
Never noticing that I can comprehend
The joy of the rain as it sprinkles life
The light of the sun as it shines bright
The shadow of the moon as it illuminates
My life is more than a sparkle
It shines across the earth to ignite
A passion that is crisp and alive
Thriving with hope for the souls
Who know that I am prosperous
As I carry life through the heart of my wood
Kissing every living thing with my
Gift of pure air that fills the world
With gratitude for me, a ordinary tree

Theme: What I love to do

Celebrate Me

Give me flowers while you still can,
In this fleeting world, a brief lifespan.
Don't wait till I am under the sand,
To say I was the man that always took a stand.
Let blossoms of love unfold,
In the tapestry of moments, stories untold.

I have cretinous heights to get to,
Yet I live my life impromptu.
Like petals whispering tales of grace,
Embraced by time, a fleeting embrace.
Letting fragrant verses of beauty unfurl,
In the garden of life, a precious swirl.

For time is a painter, a swift brushstroke,
Cherish the blooms before they revoke.
In the melody of now, a sweet refrain,
Everything earned, nothing given.

Give me flowers while you still can,
let their essence remain, it's a brief lifespan.
Celebrate me.

Premium Member Appreciate What He Has Done

The universal mystery of God
Normalcy to those who embrace the odd.
Seen in the dragonfly’s gossamer wings.
Apparent in the sweet call of bird sings.
Brazenly shown in orange and pink twilight.
His own handiwork’s triumphant highlight.
Easily seen in a beggar’s sad face.
Eager eyes waiting for some sort of grace.
We are not yet at heaven’s finest door,
We have some people to kindly restore.
When we see God’s beautiful setting sun,
We should appreciate what He has done.
Mystery apparent no longer true.
For I see God in me, and God in you.

The Way I See the World

The world is beautiful but vengeful,
The world consists of the living and nonliving,
The world consists of the good and the bad,
The world creates and destroys,
The world is beautiful,

The world is beautiful,
Because of the nature, the countries and the people,
But one wrong move,
One big mistake,
Like,
Massive deforestation, soil pollution and littering
Will make the world angry,
That it will turn on self destruction mode,
Creating tsunamis, tornadoes, and earthquakes,

It's not the world's fault,
As it gives back what it gets,
If we give the world love,
Flowers will bloom, raindrops will dance,
Arroyos will feel satiety , people will live in peace,

The world is full of kindness,
People with compassion and love,
The world is full of guidance,
Even in the darkest nights, The brightest moonlight will guide us,
The world is full of energy,
As we get most of the food from sunlight,

The world is full of beauty,
Breathtaking mountains , magnificent waterfalls and amazing jungles,
Albeit,
don't let the beauty fool you,
As the world is beautiful but vengeful.

We Appreciate You

Chosen by God to carry His Word;
Maybe running at first, eventually His Voice you heard.
It was a task that you felt might have been hard;
There was no need to worry, you were equipped by God.

A woman of God with great character, principles and power,
A woman chosen by God for this day and this hour.
To speak to a people with a stout heart and stiff neck,
To speak a Word from God to put them in check.

There are so many people, all with different needs,
Some even brought pain and caused the Shepherdess's heart to bleed.
But many are so grateful for the firm stand you took,
As you delivered the Word straight from the Holy Book.

We appreciate you and the compassion you reflect,
That often times to say "Thank You" we seem to neglect.
Thank you, thank you, and thank God above,
For sending us a blessing filled with compassion and so much love.

I Appreciate You

I APPRECIATE YOU

You are so swift

Across my life you always want to drift

Each time I try to up my game,

You showed the bottom and left me with no option that to apportion blame

You make my tears wet my smiles

When I go through my memory's files

For as I page through , I embrace joy as I bump into your enemy

Alas, as I flick further, I find you consistently

I appreciate you though

For you help me mature and grow

You strengthen my bone and give me wings of confidence

And I soar and rise above you with resilience

You irk when you knock on my door

But you can come and wage war

For without you I have no will to cross a barrier

You make me bitter but I appreciate you Failure.

Premium Member To Appreciate Nature

To appreciate nature;
watch the sun gild peaks of white.
And glistening ice crystals;
form dazzling jewels of light.

See marshmallow clouds float on
a vista of liquid blue.
And view a scarlet-sunset
imbuing a crimson hue.

Watch emerald jungles form
a sash of tropical greens.
And beige sands transform deserts;
into dunes of shifting scenes.

See sparkling sapphire rivers;
running freely, clear, and clean.
And the rich, mossy tones;
where trees yield to evergreen.

Watch waves of aquamarine;
capped with foamy, frothy brine.
And crystalline fields of ice;
morph into sheets of sunshine.

Do We Appreciate the Family God Gave Us

Do We Appreciate the Family God Gave Us?

I remember growing up in a Christian family.
We were content, joyful and happy.

Things were "going along rather well."
We loved each other! More than words could tell.

There was a special love
between mom and dad.
As my parents... I was proud and glad!

Over the years that went on by.
Something happened. I don't know why.

Our deep love became
replaced with "excuses."
Our relationships filled with
 "harsh words and bruises."

This family... I once held close to my heart.
Began to "unravel and fall apart."

Our love for another became bitter and cold.
Even to the day we're "growing old."

It is rather evident and appearing.
The family as a unit is disappearing.

We must come together and
remove all bitterness.
And walk in God's love and his forgiveness!

We must appreciate one another--
in spite of our faults!
Standing together on Godly principles
brings good results!

It we insist on "going our separate ways."
We'll be sorry "one of these days!"

The family is what God has put together.
It needs to be rooted in love!
Today and forever!

God’s love needs to be the glue that binds us as one.
Blessing every mom, dad,
daughter and son!

Appreciate

I appreciate all the love
Is a phrase I use commonly
Whether I'm just accepting the grace
Or my confirmation of thanking you and bringing out that calm in me
I'm thankful and appreciative for a ton of things
I'm talking clothes, shoes, or even some good chicken wings
Red Vines, X-box, and my great Mama
A great Father too
And still being alive throughout all this worlds drama
I just need to make sure I'm giving God my thanks daily
I know it may sound crazy
But that's a little harder than it sounds
Something as easy as blessing your food can be forgotten about up until now
Giving thanks for a new day should be my first thought anyway
Something that I constantly forget to do
Appreciation is a form of love in some kind of way
So I appreciate the man upstairs for putting me in the red, white, and blue
