No script
belonging one’s civilization
no history
anyone can recall,
only the enduring solid stone blocks
someone created to form this ancient wall.
A relic unknowingly
left to the woodland undergrowth
and those
that measure nature’s time.

Premium Member - Dust By Ancient Times -
Old dust by rusty memories
One time lace curtains in the windows
Fascinating account by a challenging life
Happiness and defeats, sunny days and freezing nights
More than an adventure; for better or worse
An image that evokes old childhood memories for many
"The happy 50s" an expression of relief that...

Premium Member A Tale of Ancient Times
This is a tale of ancient times
And a knight of valiant heraldry
Who followed true his knightly code,
The weight of righteousness his load,
All sheathed in heaven's grace he rode,
And practiced naught save chivalry.

From the Pope a rally call went out,
A Crusade to the Holy Land.
A Christian...

Roman priests practiced divination
as a means of prophesying the future
they'd plunge a dagger into a temple dove
and eviscerate the living bird.
Then they'd examine the entrails,
especially their livers, for omens,
believing that the Gods would reveal what was
going to occur in the immediate future through such signs.

Under the endless mantle of infinity, where ancient times hide their secrets,
History is a nightmare shrouded in veils of dark mystery,
A tapestry of shadows and lights, a labyrinth of untold destinies,
In which my wandering soul seeks an awakening from the eternal spell of the past.

I'M Feeling It Chapter 2: Ancient Times News
I’m getting so bold, yet growing so old…
Because of lack of sleep…
A deep sleep taken away by the sounds of your weeping moans that creep
Inside my bed at night

I’m feeling the fire burn in my heart
The drums of the mountains grow asunder
Fountains of hills douse...

I'm obsessed by documentaries about ancient times
Especially the architecture it sure rings my chimes
How did they achieve it
These amazing feats
Aliens perhaps helped build these structures so fine...

Ancient Times
In ancient time

The ninety seventies are up in patina, a yellowish colour
of the ancient when I was young; and for me, it is still
not far away and remembered as a good time, mainly
because I was busy finding my feet
In the interim 50...

From Ancient Lands
From the ancient lands of Mesopotamia,
A story of friendship and love,
Of a king and a wild man, united,
In adventures that took them above.

Gilgamesh, the mighty king of Uruk,
A man of strength and fame,
But with a fear of death that haunted,
And a longing to escape that...
