Best All Ears Poems
sometimes
silence is...
the key
to listening....
Well, aren’t you a sight for sore EYES
Off the top of my HEAD its been nearly two years
Yes ,I have been keeping busy
A FINGER in every pie that’s me
It has been a bit of a struggle
I did put my NECK on the line
Many times I cried my HEART out
Then would dust myself off and say “ok girl CHIN up”
And FACE the music
Yes we were away for a while
We had really itchy FEET
Though we were BACK before we knew it
I've kept an EAR out to see if anyone had heard from you
I did hear you started your own confectionary business
You’ve always had a sweet TOOTH
It’s on… “Now what’s the name of that street “?
It’s on the tip of my TONGUE….
It is something like KNEE
Kneetson No Kneedham thats it!
You’ll have a lot of ELBOW room there
If you ever need help
I can always lend a HAND
Oh ,you heard about that incident did you
She really put her FOOT in it this time
She has a such CHEEK
I told her to get off my BACK
To stop looking down her NOSE at me
I’ve always been upfront with her
Worn my HEART on my sleeve
Though getting the truth from her
Is like pulling TEETH
She is a royal pain in the NECK
I ARMED myself for the next encounter
My HEART was in my MOUTH
To be honest I got cold FEET
Best I keep her at ARMS length
So last time I saw her ,I said
I hope you are all EARS
I need to get something off my CHEST
I politely wished her good luck
Told her to break a LEG
And kiss my ****!!
(A Body Idiom Poem)
I write for you to feel.
So it’s alright for you to feel…that way.
I drive for me to clear...this space,
just hope that you don’t veer in my lane.
I’m a scream, I’m a honk
to all ears.
To all ears,
I’m whatever you say,
it’s from whatever you say that I feel this way.
Bumpy reeled, lovely still.
Either way it’s not for the bill of biz
tempered quiz of a different situation, I’m encountered with, so
I say what from feelings, for feels you’re willing to give
before you talk and I’m all ears,
I’m all ears, now give me your spiel
for real, I’m all ears.
Am all ears for you baby
As you cry many tears daily
As you harbour many fears lately
No cheers can mollify you, sadly
I like being your shoulder to lean on
Like a friend I'll comfort you like none
With me your pains would be numb
I know the exact dose to take you to the happy zone
But I laugh so much inside
Am laughing so much at you it's my pride
Remembering you did the same thing to me, I had no guide
Now you do the same thing to her, no more bride
Continue living in your lala land
Continue with your fruitless plans
Your little tactics are your own pranks
Maybe you should worry about whose side I stand
I’m All Ears
By Elton Camp
When we become adults, most growth will cease
There’re places that continue their size to increase
The lens of the eye, bigger and bigger will it get
In middle age there’s no longer any focusing of it
To read fine print, farther and father we hold it away
No use, we will be forced to wear glasses some day
The nose is another body part that continues to grow
When old enough, we say, “Oh, if only that wasn’t so.”
Another place that will gradually grow bigger, I fear
Is the flap of the ear, which will bring to us no cheer
While even normal sized ears look quite bad enough,
Having them become huge when we’re old is tough
And while it is sad, but true, the belly may grow too
But unlike the other three, if it happens is up to you
In our conversation
If you do not care to listen
Then how can you answer me?
Silent
Listen
They use the same letters
It's so we can talk
So I can hear you
And you can hear me
So we can respond
With understanding
And not just to ourselves
Agree or not
Is only relevant
If we have listened
