Premium Member Dragonflies Dancing

Sunlight sparkles on the shimmering pond
its mirror like surface smooth as silk
dragonflies dance across the water
performing aerial acrobatics like a circus in the air

Water dipping on a fairground ferris wheel
then plunging dramatically like a helicopter in free-fall
rising and falling skimming the water so gracefully
transparent gossamer wings flapping in flight

Shimmering like a sapphire in the early morning sun
dazzling me with your infinite beauty
On summer days I wish I had wings
seeing dragonflies’ dancing makes my heart sing

This is one of my early poems and it is a particular favourite as I tried very hard with the imagery

Premium Member Stuck On You

I used to be free
Acrobatics in the air
I would soar with flair
From here to way over there
Fly away
Into my dreams
Free as the air that brushes by me
Anywhere I could be
Whatever tickles my fancy
I could be the fly on the wall
Or the annoying one
Tickling life and all of you
Laughing as I fly so free
Oh how I could dance in the skies
Landing on buffets to delight my eyes
Feasting on gourmet of french cuisine
Life so joyous from high in the skies

So one day my life came crashing down
You imprisoned me to the flyers pound
I could not escape you have me well bound
Now I struggle my life is on ground
No more flying, no more freedom
I am now all tied up and
Stuck on you
To my death I will hate this fate
Regretting the day you and I made that date
Landing on you was death in black
You are the one to steal my last breath
You are……..
Flypaper
I, the Fly

Premium Member Spring Has Arrived With Joy

Clap your hands, sing with joy for warm spring is here.
Swallows are the first to arrive now the sky is clear,
Purple Martins perform aerial acrobatics
To snap up flying insects as is their tactics.
Chickadee small and pretty songbirds enthral
But the goldfinch is the most beautiful of all.

Below a dazzling garden so well designed,
Each patch adorned with fragrant flowers all lined
With special flowers of every marvellous pansies,
And in each patch, you'll find flowers which one fancies,
Impatiens, begonias, petunias, delightful in the breeze,
While all around work is began by pollination by the bees.

Holy Communion

The vibes we ride
the highs, the lows
conversations with
conclusive innuendos
Hypotheticals and
experiments
we engage in
acrobatics of
noun and verb duels
Your en garde
I fall hard
Butter knife
tongues
Eucharistic bread
the uncovering
of your body
unravels my
mentality
Intoxicatingly
sipping your
Lord have mercies
Amen and Amen

Premium Member So Many Choices

Harvard, Princeton or Yale?
I'll take some courses by mail
Engineering or Mathematics?
   I'm majoring in Acrobatics

Piano, Violin, Flute or Clarinet?
I'll play my music on the Internet
Chaucer, Shakespeare, Milton or Dickens?
Give me a J.K. Rowling tale of Wiccans

Pheasant under Glass with Caviar?
Slice of pizza and fries with that, sir
Sparkling wine, Liqueur or Pink Champagne?
   Make mine tapwater -- plain

Mansion or Penthouse Condominium?
A dreary shack, the bare minimum
Representative or Parliamentary Democracy?
Socialist Republic, where everything's given to me

Life offers you choices, let there be no doubt
The worst thing you can do is take the easy way out

I Love You Already Baby

Explosion of every emotion,
a rickty, tickty, roller coaster ride.
Acrobatics of anxiety
it's my pure joy, I cannot hide.

I've got this life growing inside me.
my blood is making her heart beat.
I can feel the tumbling movements
and every push of her little feet.

Cravings like I've never known,
bacon bits on a vanilla ice cream cone,
As my body gets bigger quicker,
I realized I will never be alone.

Everything must be ready,
the baby needs a teddy bear.
I know this girl will be a beauty,
I need some ribbons for her hair.

I toss and turn all the night long,
I'm so nervous and excited I could cry.
A heart full of love, I'm growing wings,
I'm so ready that I can't wait to fly.

Then comes the day, my little girl
takes her first breath and melts my soul.
We are two pieces of the same puzzle,
and this lovely girl makes me whole.

Spiritual Weather To Let Go

I
The rain came without rainbows
She walked between the raindrops
The sun, even in Fall, warms all over
No crimson & gold leaves over tops
Of local mountains, but fruit all Year!
Be there clouds, mustard seed faith grows

II
The milder African winters, not for him
He had not traveled abroad - bad & good
White cattle herons, always delighting
With aerial acrobatics, done getting food
Like paper kites dressed in snow, hovering
At twilight over the lake, their lives coloring

acrobatics

Perhaps I am used to being
     posed, arranged, framed
in a certain way.
What if I told you
     every move
     every flicker of an eyelid
     every shift in weight
is carefully orchestrated
and perfectly executed.
Always a performer
who is overworked
never receiving compensation.
     And why,
why must I continue
to spin on my axis
at your command?
     And why,
why do I enjoy the
performance more
than executing my
existence of free will?
     Where
is my performer?
There is no
     dinner & a show
for the acrobat
who climbs to the
tallest of heights for
     your pleasure
and falls for
     my own.

Premium Member The Fat Acrobat

Ann was an aging acrobat
That is until she became too fat
To sit on a flying trapeze
Cavort or leap with any ease
When the tightrope began to bend
Ann's acrobatics came to an end

X Plus Y Equals U and I

We met at point forty five
At the stop, the beast on four wheel drives
I intentionally ask for the travel fee
Unconcerned about your impression on me

The moment you spoke of the bus cost
My numbers and calculations were lost
I wanted you to be the ying to my yang
Be the caller, as my telephone rang

My wise professor taught me mathematics
With formulas got my mind performing acrobatics
When letters and numbers were combined
I hoped that we were eternally entwined

Can I ever find e if u are square root to 128?
128veu, I don't wish for you to carelessly illustrate
Although the axis x was shorter than y
However your line will still converge mine

"Yang", you called facing the scintillating sun
Far past distant plains where we scorch and run
You are my "Xiaoping", capturing my troubled heart-
A splintered cork you used to sealed as treasury art

To the antique shop of organs you visited
Lies my draining veins stood so privileged
Satisfied with the length of my heart rate
I mailed gratitude to my aesthetic fate

Can you calculate if my rate was abnormal?
Alas! With you, I am immortal

My ancient professor taught me algebra
Equations that held us like bunches of abaca
That engulfs the arid earth with triumph
My axis extends higher than a tree's xylem

The horizontal axis of x for Xiaoping
And the vertical axis of y for Yang
If those axis intersects at point forty-five
It will equal to a pronumeral U and I

Natures Nest

How beautiful the sounds, sights of nature

In the distance alarm call of a cuckoo,

beautiful sound of summer Tanager

Blackbirds hopping around getting in a stew,

Acrobatics of swallows, swifts, Martins,

Crows of the carrion, rooks, jackdaws, Raven

Cooing of turtle doves and wood pigeons,

Chittering robin, eyes closed what heaven,

Finches so sweet, green, bull, haw, gold and more

Speedy blue, great, coal, willow and marsh ****,

nature is such a pleasure never a chore ,

Seeing these wonderful birds thrills two bits

Serenity while watching our game bird

Pheasant, partridge, grouse, geese and mallard duck

Graceful swans glide, sights and sounds must be heard

Wading birds sifting for food through silt and muck,

birds of prey, kestrel, sparrow hawk, Peregrine

Eagles, buzzards, goshawk, ospreys skilful hunters

Larks hovering, lap wings, owls, magpies so pristine,

Sea birds, waders, hunters, lovely colours,

These moments of relaxation, undisturbed

listening, watching our beautiful wild birds.

Spheroid Rainbows.
Delicate,"Do not Touch"
Floating through emissions,
Of dirt and car exhaust.
A bubble family on an outing.
Performing acrobatics,
In the summer air.

Premium Member Duck Side Story

You have your North side ducks,
And you have your south side ducks.
Neither the twain shall meet.
For each one had his nose in the air.
They simply would not do the greet.

So as it happens they would dance with flair in the middle of the pond.
Always trying to out do the other side…Yes, let’s call it ‘Stomp The Pond’
Wings in motion lifting them up, to stomp the waters with their feet
Acrobatics and splashing around… Man it looked so neat.

So Stella, one of the South Side Ducks fell in love with her North side Pete.
But she couldn’t cross the middle of the pond, with so much action in the way.
Fussing, blustering, and carryings on were the name of the day.

But you know, there’s always one strange duck, and that’s the one who built a bridge.
Now all the others could come across or watch the stomp from the middle of the id.
My moral, I say to you young ones… is as appealing as stomping can be…
The world works better when brought together…
By the builders of a bridge.

In Possession of the Master Key

Writing affects your brain!
So all I want to do is write craftier and harder,
Using supercharged thoughts, converted from quantum data,
Letting it rain, running through my veins,
Seen, then caught by my Pen and paper that’s always on me,
The greater angels oversee thee,
In possession of the master key,
Fallen angels, demons, detect and pursue with greed wanting me,
So they can see what’s foreseen, by this writers understanding intellect,
So it’s time!!!! Weighty refined rhymes for the intellectual elect, on cloud nine,
Like Tetris, placing written strands in unity as motion proceeds crisper,
The earthly “menace to society”, with whispered inwards idea’s from the word gods,
Applauding the poetry lord underdogs, fast forward and pause,
This brains the world’s future source and the chosen land,
Literally the wisest literature outbursts expanding like the universe,
Taking it back, diverse and old school,
Home of the jewels but still dwelling with satanic obstacles,
These blanket ya soul and misrule like church rules,
Instead on to it, using powerful tools switching it up with upward techniques,
On a streak lasting a long life time as I tweak these unique axioms that the devils immortals seek,
Tardily as earth entities are weak, sickly sleepy, becoming known truths to some like a Wikileak,
Squeaky clean proverbs throwing curve balls you can’t engage with, no sophisticated athletic semantics,
Quick with my sixth sense, I won’t settle for second, I’m the dark horse,
So with force I wanna go harder and harder, become smarter and remove haver,
Keeping sharper, one hundred, an addict going out as a world class poetic martyr,
Hard to understand letter acrobatics, stacking up linguistic equations like mathematics,
I attack and fill up sacks with goodies, the giver like your Santa, this is my Mantra wrapped and delivered.
