There was a young lady from Barbados,
Who felt that the summer sea was a loss,
She spoke against beaches,
She called them time leeches,
Until one day her home was filled with dross.

aqua and sky blues
enchanting, entrancing hues…
a Barbados beach
soothes, purifies and cleanses -
a salve for soul and senses

Barbados breezes
wafting through the treezes.
No chance of sneezes or freezes.
Thirty degrees is
too d**n hot by jeezus!

Take me Samantha
I beg you,
to your flourishing abode
within the idyllic shores of
Barbados.
To the smoothened sands
of the placid beaches of
Bathsheba, for our
deep romantic adventure
and ecstatic surfing.
A split second with you
in the land of the flying fish,
would no doubt be a lifetime
to remember.
As we bask beneath the caribbean sun,
amidst the pride of Barbados,
with a flourish, your smile would
usher me deeper into your world.

We keeping losing our Princes
we had 5 now we've two
but our future king isn't
Harry, Phillip or Andrew
Charles and Will
have a throne they will fill
the three that we lost
won't be crowned, are not real
The Queen suffers all 3,
Barbados is 4,
don't find a dictator
like so many before
Others who remove
all think they'll improve
they war with their own
independence brings doom
Political control
no monarch abused
President's take their hold
corruption never knew
our head of state
unites them in hate
with independence
they separate
the power it entails
corruption prevails
and that is the reason
democracy fails
we shouldn't have been there
nor claimed it our own
but most former colonies
failed once alone
Governing yourselves
whilst keeping the Queen
so expecting our wealth
angry it's not seen
you wanted us gone
and that's what we did
thought our help would go on
you rejected us, stupid
when you got self control
thought we'd be involved
to gift aid, to gift money
no longer our role
