Impromptu

i need
to see your
fluid figure
drink from
your body

firstly
testing with a toe
the water's fine
diving in
skinny dipping

as water
we flow
together
as one
Aswan

damn
my mind
melts
dripping
down my body

thinking
this while
taking
a cold
shower

Green scene that caught and took me clean away,
captivated on the sights as the train
excels, on our progress in the same day,
a rare place I will never know and gain.

The Nile amongst the fields and the beauty
of the palm trees, and brown sandy places,
camels, tall pyramids so much to see
as we pass the sites and sun kissed faces.

Travel between Suez, Luxor, Aswan,
Alexandria, Port Said, and Cairo.
Breathtaking, you never have time to yawn
knowing it will be a fabulous show.

Traveling through Egypt's grace in leisure,
a lulling train rides in comfort pleasure.

Saint Peter's Ants

They couldn't have chosen a nest-bed more complex, or vaster.
I lauded their industry (toiling through Sunday, no qualms!),
and almost felt guilty for loitering by their pilaster.
My wife was the hold-up. Those scanty straps were a disaster,
her shoulders cold-shouldered! Here, there's no right to bare arms.

Basilicas don't come mightier, or more splendid, than this one:
Saint Peter's in Rome, High Renaissance, wide-fabled by poets.
The great Michelangelo crafted this Christian Aswan:
they've gathered its glories in guidebooks, so no-one need miss one.
Those frantic ants scampered on legend, but they didn't know it.

And isn't that rather like us? As we hurry and scurry,
accomplishing little, accounting ourselves oh so clever,
ignoring the story (except our immediate worries),
deploring as boring whatever creates no quick flurry,
we miss the magnificence dwarfing our petty endeavours.

Egypt

Luxor, oh Kharmack
Temples to Amon, Amon Ra
Pharaohs in sacred reverence
For both gods lifted

Along the majestic Nile
Through Upper Egypt
What an elite ... to stand quiet
There, on the Kings valley
At Tuntakamon progeny´s way
The Palace of Hatshepsut
In the Valley of the Queens

Majestic Horus and by Felucca
The Mausoleum of Agha Khan
Obelisk, still unfinished
And the pristine temple Philae
From Edfu to Aswan ...

The High Dam to retain
The nonalignment of Lake Nasser waters
The graffiti art, portraying the long story
Of the lives of all the Pharaohs
And the temples of Sobek, Horus and Khnum
In Kom Ombo
Fascinate the eyes of anyone

A Lioness

A Thunderous Roar
But Yet With An Accent I Do Adore
Jamaican Speech Synchronized
With A French And Bim Flavor
Locks Beautiful And Blonde
Power, Strength & Spiritual Vibes Surround

With Eyes That Are Turquoise Green
And Words That Are Divine And Clean
Out To Rise Up Mankind
And Free Us From Babylon
Aswan The Lioness
Protector Of The Lair
Empress To The Throne

Positive Vibes, Positive Thinking
Brings A Positive Meaning
To A Positive Life
