I did not recognize my neighbor Todd.
He was wearing thick white make up
And an outfit that looked like a stuffed dress with a tale.
He did not look like he wanted to be noticed, so I pretended I did not know him
As I got off he said “Aren’t you going to say hello?”
Re-teaching me a lesson I should know
never think you can read somebody’s mind.

you are an odd one, aren’t you?
I have certainly done my best to be
You see things others miss
True enough
Do you play your own melodies?
Yes and I choreograph myself nightly
Sharing only enough to intrigue
Retaining my enthusiasm for life

a tiny water drop in light
reflections of love
refractions of hatred
dispersion of rage
rain bow in your
heart
you are a phenomenon

illuminate droplets
we only see incomplete
optical illusion viewed
from a relative angle
melanin is the primarydivision

We are first planted
Planted into the ground
As a seed we don’t know what to expect
No one does
We are just carefree
Rolling around in dirt
But then
When days pass
We are sprouts
The new seeds
Enjoy the dirt
We wonder where those days went
When WE were the ones in the dirt
We realize
We aren’t seeds forever
Pretty soon we will be
Those beautiful tulips, salmon...or lavender
We have the choice
To be whatever color we want to be
But when our first storm hits
When we’re struggling
To be straight and perfect
We will remember
Being a seed
When we are gasping for water
Drying out
Wilting away
Shriveling up
We will remember
Being a seed
We realize
We are not seeds forever.

You arent best and beatiful
You arent reach and smart
And even worse than medium
But heart is now conquered
You are not best and beatiful
Not stable and not young
You arent so comfortable
But you all what I love
You arent soft and mystical
You dont deserve admires
But right now I am wondering
How to forget your eyes
I thought, you like a wind
Will pass and leave me pease
You stayed all lonly nights
In heart and salty eyes
I thouhgt it is really nothing
When we together walking
You taught me just reverse
Without you I am lost
You are my spoiled life
And shiness of my eyes
You are diagnos clinical
And your return is critical

Christmas bells aren’t ringing all through our little town,
The zoning ordinances prohibit such a noisy sound.
There are no carolers singing their songs of Christmas cheer,
People are afraid to open their doors to strangers who draw near.
Now Santa needs written permission to enter any locked domicile,
With the arrests resulting from last year his Reindeer are still on trail.
Don’t expect too much in your stocking at least nothing you might like,
Labor negotiations have broken down and the elves have gone on strike.
I hung a wreath on my front door and my neighbor gave me a laugh,
The lights that he displays on his own house could land a small aircraft.
There’s something in that eggnog that has made me lose my head,
I nearly said Merry Christmas rather than Happy Holidays instead.
Oh, I long for an old fashioned Christmas where everyone was bright,
But until the world is sane again I’ll keep a silent night.
And what of that little baby that started this whole thing,
The more I think about him, the more I want to sing.
So let’s all join together and prepare for what may come next,
Let’s all share love, joy, peace and hope by sending out a text.
