Relax and let me rub your wings
I'll tell you stories and other things
Then rock you 'til you fall asleep
Sleep my bluebird, good and deep
And when you stretch your wings again
Awake from slumber later, then
I'll wrap your feathers beautiful
In Aran sweaters of finest wool
I'll play for you some folk guitar
One song in particular by The Civil Wars
Or Morning on the mandolin
Take this new one for a spin
Maybe you would care to sing
Well in that case l'll play anything
Or name a song, I'll learn it new
And present it as a gift for you

Hold the door open
Pull out your chair
Give you my jacket
Comb your brown hair
Cook you a banquet
Play you a song
Listen when speaking
Offer my arm
Wrap you in afghan
Slippers on feet
Make you fresh coffee
Talk to you sweet
Write you a poem
Hug you when sad
Warm up your car
Set up iPad
Help you choose music
Edit your docs
Crosswords together
Aran wool socks
Let you control
Think the world of
Respect your decisions
Quietly love

Roads rising up from Irish mists in merry jigs
To the flowing tenor song
Sung by the River Boyne born from Tara's Keep
As Patrick's paschal fire
Weaves truth from stones of blarney
And lucky charms of Erin's spring
Cloth hills in kilts of green clovers with four leaves
To the Kerry pipers wail of jigs and tiompan reels
When soft sunbeams kiss fields - the wind petals
Of Killarney's rose in Londonderry Airs
Born in fifes and fiddles in soft brogues
Delighting in tea and scones - the clairsel harp -
When clear cut crystal rays
Embrace green fields clothed in sheep -
Faire mischief - the wind dance of the Kells -
In bohdran thunder to banish banshee cries
As pirate queens and lost chieftain kings
Sail from emerald shores
Until they meet again beneath the blessings
Of the Celtic cross
In the north winds of the fair aran island.

Has come neath the warmth of the sun;
Causing moment of million mirth
And time of happiness and fun.
