A Home With Us

Tiny petals,
Crystalline anthers,
Trombone-like style,
Its fragrance permeates the space,
Its purple hue glows in the sunlight,
Its freshness sedates the mind,
It sleeps in the cold,
Wakes with renewed vigour in the spring,
My mother’s favourite,
They communed in the morning hour,
They stood by her bedside in her final days.

Premium MemberA Varicolored Bloom

anthers of orange and gold
a large pink bloom soaks the sun
light pink here and dark pink there
with streaks of purple

fragrance fills the summertime
forever lived in one day
beauty sensed by the senses
never unnoticed

Reality Versus Insanity

Funny the divide between
Reality and Insanity
In my dream's
This is what I think
This is how my thought process pictures
Meeting you would be
I imagine you have been waiting for me
Per chance we meet
And you remember and love me like I have missed you
I am your what if you never forgot
But I am sure if you bumped into me
You wouldn't give me a second glance
You would snigger to your friends
Telling them you think you may have gone out with me
When you were 23 but could not remember me
What did she ever see in me to go out with me
Its like old childhood friends
Who have to pretend they know who you are
But cross over rather than fake they know you
What are Cherished memories to me
May be nothing more than memories of anthers past
And the friendship and love you held onto so dear
Are not reciprocated
Merely out dated fantasy's
You were neither remembered
Sadly not worthy to forget
What you regret and held onto as loss
Can be trampled on like candy floss
Sorry to say it
But that was all our yesterday's
And people remember thing's differently

Tilling For a Songless Song

In the mazy thicket of thoughts I search
With the fork of foresight on cloudy march
I pick meaningless pebbles from eerie plane
Meaning hisses at the futile chase of fussy lane

All doorsteps lintel-ling and leading to the most sought clue
none is rock and rilled across anthers of the age-long hue

Yet, life minstrels museless must trudge through the parks
Crowded by thorough thronging noisome marks
I must search for missing meaning along this boulevard
Of naked plumes wishing, waiting for the rush-roller yard.

In the mazy marble of thoughts we search
With the fork of foresight on clueless march
We pick meaningless pebbles from eerie plane
Meaning hisses at the futile chase of limpid lane

All doorsteps lintel-ling and leading to the most sought clue
None is rock and riled through thronging of the age-long hue

Yet, life minstrels museless must trudge through the parks
Crowded by thorough darting noisome marks
We must search for missing meaning along this boulevard
Of naked plumes wishing, waiting for the rush-hour yard

Waiting all along
Tilling for a songless song

Premium MemberInukshuk- Symbol of the Canadian North

They stand tall like a monument, the wayfarer’s journey guide
Rough stones shaped into human form, the meaning to unhide,
Inuits first carefully piled these stones, the meaning becomes clear,
Traditionally “you are on the right path” or “someone was here”.

These unworked stones were used for survival and a method to communicate,
Mountain passages or an open channel, the stone placement was your fate.
A cache of food was near an Inukshuk without arms or one with anthers attached,
For the lost hunter in the Arctic, their beckoning and comfort was unmatched.

These rocks are used for navigation, the right direction to select,
They can also signify a memorial, a quiet place of respect,
Or mark where the spirits abide or where the fish can be found,
Think- the amount of information provided, without uttering a sound.

Winter 2010, in Vancouver, it became the official Olympic mascot,
“In the likeness of a human” is the modern meaning, now it’s thought.
I am no expert on these stones but driving northward, I keep a watchful look,
And respect the stone monument there to welcome you, the Inuit Inukshuk

Into Me Is You

gazing into the inside of me and you
i can see all the parts
lending to one anthers hearts
spokes of the wheel
through each other we feel the waves of uncertainty
trapped between you and me
caught up in divinity
we quietly wonder
as life goes on
another day beneath the same sun
reason unclear though life's a gift we hold dear
many memories times before and still to come
maybe we'll get there to meet the setting sun
one day we may break
the illusion we're stuck in
or maybe we are just what we're living
without knowing there's no way to tell
do your best to live in heaven not hell
watch out and maybe life will be alright
till then don't quit and give up the fight
