anthers of orange and gold
a large pink bloom soaks the sun
light pink here and dark pink there
with streaks of purple

fragrance fills the summertime
forever lived in one day
beauty sensed by the senses
never unnoticed

Lovely as the flower, delicate as its perfume Evelyn. A lovely summer smile unfolding. Are you going to enter the Kaleidoscope contest? Blessings of beauty my friend!

Thank you for your delightful comments, Sam. I just entered the Kaleidoscope contest, with my poem, The Color of Laughter. What was I thinking??!! It didn't occur to me to check the rules to see if I had a qualifying poem until you mentioned it just now. Thank you so much for helping me think of it. Blessings of beauty to you also, dear friend.

Loved your poem but sadly summer has little fragrance in Malta, at least where I live .

Fortunately flowers delight more than one sense. Thank you for the compliment. :)
