The creamy-porridge skies
Gave us drizzle at noon
The sun’s drooping violet
Palette squinted over the hills
And hid there, for the clouds
Were annulling her will.
At one the rain shifted its weight
To white withering gloom,
With haste warmed to puddles
Which watered the walk
Sustaining the blade’s colored
Green-gray fluttering stalks
Which lashed in the wind
As a whip’s cracking cord
Snaps like lighting strikes
Who writhe from the Lord
With cries of agony found alone
In those troubled with toil
And so sunk their roots
Deep down the soggy brown soil.
Thus, the bleak flat land
Has been deprived of defense
To be destroyed ‘til the freak
Winds hush and relent.

Wollongong Lighthouse how you stand,
Above seaside, windblown and stony;
Like a rocket ship on the edge of land,
Poised for take-off with full ceremony.
Skyward, you point, watch and aspire,
Always ready, but never mote moving,
Do you wait for hydrogen engine fire;
Gravity annulling forces improving?
Wollongong Lighthouse how you stand,
Above seaside, windblown and stony;
Like a rocket ship on the edge of land,
Poised for take-off with full ceremony.
Oh, Wollongong Lighthouse forever stand:
Poised like a rocket ship on the edge of land.

You keep them to yourself, divergences,
Along the way they sprawl, uncounted,
Retaliations barbed, annulling love,
And darling words with tears confounded.
The hollow echoing chambers of the heart,
Receptacles of many well-aimed darts,
As honeyed moments oftentimes turn sour,
Reciprocating love in fits and starts.
Endearments may well fall on stony ground,
As happy days surrender to the moon,
And hard-edged days turn into coldest night
And love's sweet anthems fade and die too soon.
But underlying dark times flows a stream,
A constant certain current of belief.
True love will find a way into the light
And joy replace what once was felt as grief.

A malady of the mind
Dominates the will
As the surging river
Overruns the mill
Omnipotent craving
The bullpen cannot hold
A temptation unremitting
Annulling principle
No affection or reason
Or threat of penalty
Can possibly deter - or -
Potentiate the will

The open wound that festers and burns
how long have I ignored it?
I spent all night praying
that this decay hadn't touched my core...
There is nothing between here and the sky
That rages as violently as our hidden hearts.
It doesn't matter how often we say "I love you",
those words only become sticks and stones
in a heart that vomits out hatred, annulling,
everything else, even now,
our prayer is trapped inside.
The huge void between here and the sky
swallows us whole, why is everything rotting
before our eyes? This heart holds too many secrets,
it's collapsing into itself, ripping itself apart and
the precious sentiments it holds inside.
Vomiting, rejecting, annulling -
Only the tombstone will be white.

Some memories concern, effrontery
is always yearn, like countenance sojourning.
Unkinds its words in retrospect's home turning,
first lifts remind, then drops behind with slurring!
So I can find in grace's mind occurring,
as when thy presence binds me with returning
to God's comply, a promise asking, burning,
like some residual's pry of my adjourning!
Why rest this heart in thy, if no ensuing
can ever bring apply, a new life hewing,
to greatness, you and I, God's will renewing,
togetherness and try, love's hope reviewing!
I want thy reason why ~
mine misconstruing,
wavers like desert winds take sky, annulling
this faith awry ~ beset by dust storm's brewing!
