A balloon entered U.S. airspace near the Aleutian Islands on January 28.
After crossing Alaska, Canada, the balloon entered U.S. airspace above Idaho. President Biden instructed the military to provide alternatives
and authorized the takedown of the Chinese spy
balloon on Wednesday 02/01/2023, if it could be done safely.

Look ... but don’t touch
Touch ... but don’t taste
Taste ... but don’t enjoy
Enjoy ... but don’t ever show it
A dispassionate display,
cold dish served on an ice tray
Heart beat is sub-zero,
Arctic thoughts are so cadaver cold
Bosom heat is distant Pluto,
Permafrost eyes are frigid windows
Cold fish caught in the Aleutian Sea,
Icebox lungs became frozen gill memories
Popsicle toes icicle fingers
Polar bear nose
Penguin echoes seem to glacial linger
Tropical grace melt ice-cold, igloo cubicles
Rainforest place warmly blow tear heart-shaped miracles
Show the passion ... but don’t ever let go of it
Let go of it ... but don’t ever forget how to find it again
And again and again and again ... and
keep looking for that loving touch
Searching beyond earth’s end

Dust & Ash
Meteors falling from the sky
like stars sparkling in the night.
The volcano’s dust forms
below Iceland’s clouds.
Life stops.
Pilots stand.
Air traffic is discontent,
as the volatile atmosphere erupts.
Through the blocking of the sun,
volcanic ash plumes.
The earth will be cool
for a year or two.
A washout will come.
Iceland’s dust and ash – gone.

you spoke of my williwaw in dry terms,
yet my williwaw survived.
my williwaw grew and learned to
speak and was given a name.
my williwaw at times can curse candles
and speak in foriegn tongues.
how strange is my williwaw's form as he
rattles the wind chimes on my front porch.
they tried to chain my williwaw once and
he fled forever north of certainty and reason.
some used to ask if my williwaw would ever
come by again, but they dont seem to ask
anymore these days..
'wil·li·waw [wil-ee-waw]
