Mute and fastidious enlivening womb,
Blood red zygote is tied in a strange bloom.
Umbilical strands, mysterious quagmire.
Once undetectable vitality is now seed hire.
Wrapped in the space of a narrow room.
Elusive shelter from the entire doom.
Antepartum life, nourishing advertently,
Swiftly evolving forms and lines reliantly.
Enclose the embryonic kid with affection.
For a while, surely keep it safe till inception.
Right to be born, to exist, to suck in air
Renewed spirit and a drive to live and dare.
Kids recalled mother's voice from the womb.
No one knows his death date or his tomb.

She links her eyes to the sky and places her sweet request
"could you please shine me some light and give me some rest?"
The moon consolingly gives her consent to close her eyes
while the stars blink advertently from their five pointed highs
She longs for a cradle that rocks, and a good good book
"can you give me a happy ending?" she asks with a look
but the trees in the distance only wave their branches
perhaps the breeze has caused too many broken fences
She sifts her dreams as if they were gifts of finest wheat
then stirs them a little with the honey of yesterday's pleat
Maybe she's longing for a little warmth from an old afgan
like the one grandma knitted - back when she was ten
She links her eyes to the sky and places her sweet request
"could you please cut me some slack, help me get some rest?"
The End.

always were
somehow
able to seemly
advertently
but at the
same time
deliberately
imply
inferences
that
alluded to
a future
in a distant
out of reach
time and place
in a land
far far
away were
unicorns play
all day in the
sun
