Some days I work so hard to get

my name on a winners' list, yet

it might end up for naught.

Zilch, that is what I got.

But was it still worth it? YOU BET!

Trying to write for lots of challenges, I fall short now and then. Some contests are just more inspiring than others. And I hate it when I truly love a theme but cannot make it work for me as well as I see others doing. Like that one of yours the other day I liked so much. I wished I had been able to come up with that one!!

Becca Teagan Date: 10/6/2017 10:49:00 PM One of the things I've always admired about you, Andrea, is that you write for almost every contest (and least it seems like it to me) well you write for many contests, fearlessly, I'm in awe at how you can be inspired by so many contests. You do a really good job too because you win a lot! But you also have a good attitude when you don't make the list, and just happy that you were inspired to write. With my super close friends, I do gripe sometimes when I think I deserved to be on a list. haha!!! Anyway, we have to try to not let it effect us. Thankfully the same poems that get put down by some judges get put high on another one's list!! (I try to enter them all, but it's very difficult. I probably do 80%. I think Constance is better than I am at entering many contests!!)
