I'd rather see her from afar than not see her at all Across the room, three tables down, her presence did enthrall Captivating, dressed in black, stood out from all the rest An air of quiet elegance, pure beauty did attest With class and grace she walked across the floor and took her chair And though I did not sit near her in spirit I was there Charmed by her existence, soul aflood with zest Whenever I would catch her eye my heart leapt in my chest
