You seem to be in love with magnolia flowers ! I too love them but do not know what star magnolia is !

Why, Thank you, Line. The Star Magnolia has been in full bloom and probably is coming to an end in a few days. I have enjoyed looking out and seeing its beauty. I really don't know if it has a nice scent or not. I need to go out there and take a sniff of a blossom to see. Sara

Jennifer, I have a tree like this in my yard. It is usually the first one to have blooms, so it lets me know that spring is coming. Thanks for the hugs and blessings. I need all I can get. They say that hugs are healing. Sara

Don't mind having a star magnolia in my yard and not just coconut trees, that is, if it'll be able to handle seawater at high tides, your haiku and tree are gems Sara, Aloha~William!

Hilo, I don't know about the requirements for Star Magnolia, but we have acidic soil here with some very warm summers and winters that go down to about 20 degrees F so probably would not do well in a costal setting. I am sure there are other plants that would do well. Thanks for the visit. Sara
