Zay

A football player named Zay
Made an exceptional play.
The ref called it flaunting,
But I thought it quite daunting.
Can't a guy celebrate a great day?

I watched the game too, Hilda. "That was ridiculous." If the NFL had auto-refs instead of people refs there would be fouls called on every play. Lovely and so true too, limerick, Hilda. ~Charlie

Thank you for reading my first limerick. The SuperBowl may have a lot more material to write about. Join me in writing on the big game. Best wishes to you.

Excellent rhyme scheme and premiere word choice. Enjoyable, witty, and comic aspects. Thanks once more for your recent slant on “Magenta.” Howard

You know, the guy is making millions, is an employee of a corporation, not the President of his own company. If the NFL wants him to be less demonstrative / less celebratory, if he's smart, then... Ooops. I forgot, we're talking about professional football players. These days they can't even pass normal college courses, which have been dumbed down for the likes of them on campuses. ~ Oh, well... Just sayin,' gw m

I did watch. Zay Flowers is young and very enthused. I think he has great potential.

Dear hilda, whatever form you do and whatever theme you write for you just nail it! I am a football fan, and i sometimes dont agree with referees, the humor and the underlying meaning in this is truly soul hitting and powerful! What a brilliant limerick this is! Pleasure reading your work always. Sending you light today and always

Indeed, individuals ought to have the freedom to commemorate without facing unwarranted criticism of "flaunting" or "showing off". The limerick poem in question showcases a clever sense of humor, which I found quite delightful Hilda

Oh wow, this is your first limerick, dear Hilda? It's soooo good! I absolutely love the theme and yes, one should be able to celebrate without being called out for 'flaunting' or 'showing off'.. Well this limerick poem has a witty humour and I enjoyed reading this.. Sending many best wishes & looking forward to read more such poems by you, you're really great at these :)
