Your Truth Is Not the Truth I Know

It is your own truth, brought fair and square Into your heart, your mind, your lair. I tried to understand your steadfast mind, But God has laid a new path for me to find. My experiences have been different and diverse, Giving me my own theories, beliefs, and worse…. Your truth is not the truth I know. I have to believe my soul’s inner flow. I am your sweet child, true, all of the time. But what is yours is yours, and what is mine is mine. Soul’s inner knowing cannot be denied, Shaped by experiences, and truth deep inside.

Hello Caren … we wouldn't be human if we didn't see eye to eye from time to time. The truth will always be there; it's how we interpret what we see - thank you Caren - Lindsay

This reminded me again of Emerson: "...I will so trust that what is deep is holy, that I will do strongly before the sun and moon whatever inly rejoices me and the heart appoints... If you are true, but not in the same truth with me, cleave to your companions; I will seek my own. I do this not selfishly but humbly and truly." -Ralph Waldo Emerson Good work, my friend!

I am taking this as the highest compliment, as Emerson has always been a favorite with me.
