Your Truth Is Not the Truth I Know
It is your own truth, brought fair and square
Into your heart, your mind, your lair.
I tried to understand your steadfast mind,
But God has laid a new path for me to find.
My experiences have been different and diverse,
Giving me my own theories, beliefs, and worse….
Your truth is not the truth I know.
I have to believe my soul’s inner flow.
I am your sweet child, true, all of the time.
But what is yours is yours, and what is mine is mine.
Soul’s inner knowing cannot be denied,
Shaped by experiences, and truth deep inside.
