Your Tongue Spreading Lies
You whisper lies
-about me-
surly that can never be.
A twenty-year-old
behaving like a middle school girl.
Surly I miss heard.
This isn't gossiping
this is a knife in my back.
Ruining what little reputation I had.
Dwindled to dust-each time you open your mouth.
I don't know why I keep trusting you
when I don't even really like you.
Brick-by-brick
you destroy my life
by spreading lies
with a wicked
tongue.
And an innocent face.
Okay, Lady Macbeth-
you can try to hide your sin.
Try to win the approval of everyone.
Try to gain attention.
To gain trust.
But trust me
sin makes a man go mad.
And much like her-
your sin will be your folly.
